Tile Installation reviews in Commerce Township

  • I had approximately 30 square feet of ceramic tile backsplash to install. I purchased the materials myself at the local home store. I went with a 3"x6" subway tile. I was referred to Vasile by a co-worker who also had a kitchen backsplash installed by him. After seeing his work there, it was an easy decision to give him a call. Vasile was able to complete the job just days after our first conversation. Vasile was punctual, professional, and completed the job in just one day. I would recommend anyone call Vasile if you are looking for quality work at an affordable price.

  • Giving Scott and his crew only 5 stars feels like I’m understating my level of satisfaction! My partner is an experienced interior designer who had her own studio in Silicon Valley (California), and having worked with mostly an upscale clientele, was pretty savvy and precise with her desires and expectations. Her feelings about working with Scott are identical to mine, in that he really strove to understand our wants and expectations, was totally client-focused, and clearly wanted us to be totally satisfied with everything about our working together. Essentially the quality of workmanship was top-notch, he was a treat to work with, and did all he promised to do in the time frame agreed upon in our initial contractual discussion. Now, prior to hiring Scott, I acquired labor-only bids from two of the major building supplier retail outlets in the area, as well as a couple of other ‘remodeling’ specialists. We further researched this and other sites which offer customer reviews on contractors. The difference in pricing made our decision to employ Scott a no-brainer, and I consider this decision to be one of the best I have ever made!!! Also, something that my partner and I initially agreed upon prior to hiring anyone was that we needed to feel comfortable with the people we hired, and have a strong sense that they were highly trustworthy. Well. Scott and company scored 5+ stars on this scale as well. Yea, I’m starting to feel gushy as I write this, but all that I’ve stated here is valid. We are currently at our Florida island home, and continuing an extensive remodeling project begun last year. We’ve found no one down here that comes remotely close to approximating the quality of workmanship we experienced with Scott. He has set the bar extremely high!

  • I should have asked more questions before I purchased this service. I thought the grout lines were going to be sealed with white sealant not clear and would not have purchased this revive if I would have known that.

  • New Day exceeded my expectations. My project was completed in a professional and timely manner. They kept the area free of debris and cleaned up well after themselves. I felt comfortable with them in my home while I was away. There was an issue with a wall being uneven, they let me know of the issue, presented a plan to fix it while maintaining cost. I would definitely use for future projects.

  • Had their tech repair/replace three small areas of grout damage in three separate bathrooms. Basement shower stall tile surround where it meets the floor tile, 2F master bathroom lower wall tile (outside the shower) where it meets the floor tile, and in the 2F main bath's tub surround where it meets the tub lip. In the end the Master and Basement baths looked great on completion (smooth/even finish and a perfect color match), however the grout later dried to a BRIGHT white and stood out prominently from the original. I didn't expect a perfect match, but was surprised at the difference (we're talking BRIGHT white). This was NBD in the basement bath (we use it rarely), but it stands out pretty starkly in the master, and my wife was a bit put-off. It has darkened a few shades with time and repeated saturation, but is still noticeable. We are planning to re-do the master in the next two or three years, so the overall result is acceptable as it gets us where we need to be without water damage. On the 3rd floor hallway bath we had them fix the grout at/along the lower edge of the tile surround on the back (long) wall at the tub lip. This was a rarely used new(er) bathroom (installed/finished <2 years ago) and the original grout had for some reason not adhered to the substrate and cracked/popped out at this joint. We use this tub to bathe the kids (only) so as not to wet the gap with shower use, but the kids are getting older and want to shower, so it was time to fix the issue. This was my primary reason for hiring this whole project out. i had left-over matching grout from the original install so color match was perfect. The tech pulled out MOST of the grout bits that were cracked/loose except one (approx. 6") area at the dead center of the tub back wall, and replaced the areas he pulled with new. Where he worked, it looks perfect. Not sure why the one area was not dealt with, i am undecided if i should try to fix that last area myself, or try to get them back out here. They do offer 12 months guarantee per the Tech. All areas that were fixed have held up since the repair (approx. 6 months).

  • The job was well executed and completed in an hour. Brian cleaned up after the job and the final product looked great. I would definitely recommend Style Source Painting & Decorating. I have him returning to complete another job in my kitchen to install under-cabinet lighting.

  • They did an excellent job cleaning , repairing and changing the color of the grout on the floors and in a very labor intensive bathroom/shower. David is a very personable person and knowledgeable about the products. Everyone arrived as scheduled and promptly returned my calls. I'm really satisfied and it looks so much better !

  • We live in Commerce Township and I have used Art for more years then I can count (10-12). I was referred to him many years ago when we had another older home and needed a master handyman. Art is just that, I imagine I have used him no less then 30-40 times for different projects over the years. He is extremely knowledgeable, courteous, very honest, and a genuine pleasure to work with. We have actually developed a friendship based on the work he has performed. When he comes over now and I have to leave, I just tell him to lock up when he is done, we trust him that much. When we did our new home's kitchen backsplash, I went right to Art knowing it would be done meticulously and to perfection, instead of using the place we bought the tile from and it was. He thinks like I do, do it right the first time and take your time to get it done to perfection. He often comes up with ideas and options I have not even considered. I actually look at him as my home consultant if I want to bounce ideas off of him, even if it outside of what he would do himself. He was actually over here yesterday to do a garage drywall patch, install 2 new faucets, do some caulking, adjust a leaning mailbox and advise me on an electrical wiring question we had. If you are looking for a very honest, knowledgeable, meticulous and quality job, I can personally guarantee Art will not disappoint you, and if he does, he will fix it and make it right. There are not a lot of people that I have such high regard for in the services business, and when I find one, I want to tell everyone else my excellent experiences. He is just a good guy and knows what he is doing.

  • I am extremely particular about things being done right and perfect, that is why Art is so valuable to me and my wife. He treats our home like his home and often will make alternative selections and offer ideas we had not considered. He is a true expert at what he does and takes the necessary time to do things right. We look at him as a member of our home since he has done so much around here and at our old home, thus I have recommended him often. We trust his work, his ideas and more importantly him in every way and I would never consider looking at any other person to do a job at our home. We usually save up a list of things to do so we have a full day of work for him, typically he is at our home (which is a new home) to work on our changes and projects about every 3 months. Feel free to contact me on here for any more information, but I can guarantee you will be happy you hired him. That reminds me, I have a few things on my list for him to do right now!

  • David and his staff did an excellent job. They were very professional. They showed up on time and finished on time. The price was exactly as quoted. They did the work as promised and the results were better then I expected. I would definitely use them again in the future if we need grout or caulking done in other rooms. I thought the price was very reasonable for the amount of work they did and the results they achieved.
