the guys were there around 10 hours. didn't leave until it was done and working properly. ran into some issues the salesman didn't notice. took care of it anyway. that's why they were there so long. the installers were Abraham and Moses(?). very professional and conscientious of he job they were doing. we feel they went above and beyond.

From the initial quote through the unexpected findings of rotten insulation, through the completion of the entire job, which took almost 2 months, we experienced courteous, professional treatment. It's a plus to have contractors show up when they say they will, and finish when they promise! No question was too silly, and explanations were given whenever asked. Our new system has been through the harsh winter, and we are pleased with its performance. When we had a thermostat go out, the owner of the company came out the next day to replace it- we would recommend Cliff and Sons to anyone.

I am still with them. They were 2 guys for heating and cooling. They were very good. They are going to be here in 4 weeks and also install fireplaces. They are going to put a new fireplace in my house. It was general cleaning and had an issue with the way the furnace had been right. They got it all fixed. It was a bad switch in the thermostat. The price was covered. They are jolly on the spot when there is ever a problem whether there is something going wrong. If you lose your hate or cool, they come right away. It never cause me any reason to think of anybody else.

I called in a service call to look at my water sofetner which was leaking, install shut off valves under my kitchen sink, and to replace the wax ring and flange on my toilet. They were not on time when showing up. They seemed very much in a rush, told me they weren't sure if they had time to get to it all. They were able to repair my water softener and the wax ring and flange on my toilet. They informed me that they couldn't install shut off valves due to the fact they didn't have any in their service vehicle. After replacing the wax ring and flange on the toilet, I was told I needed to watch the shut off for leaking..that they would have replaced the shut off as well but due to the fact they didn't have any with them that they couldn't. The water softener seems to be working just fine, but the shut off at the toilet did start leaking and I still needed shut off under my kitchen sink. I will NOT be using a company that doesn't come prepared to their service calls.

A Saturday morning. The furnace in our rental home stopped running during a very cold winter storm. After calling our preferred service provider and being told they could not arrive until the following day, they recommended calling Comfort Plumbing and Heating. After a little research we were a little  hesitant to hire what appeared to be a single man operation, however, after calling, he was immediately  available.  He arrived in a timely manner, in what appeared to be his personal vehicle.
Armed with a flashlight,  he removed the front panel of the furnace and wiggled some wires around. After turning the off /on switch, that is located on the furnace, a couple of times the furnace came back on. He then grabbed a small vacuum and cleaned out some lady bugs that had accumulated in and around the panel. He was done within 15mins. He stated most likely the furnace was just dirty and sometimes they just need cleaned. He never once hooked up any instruments or checked anything other than with his flashlight and vacuum. At this stage the furnace was running and we were happy that it was nothing major. We paid his service fee which was an average fee of 65.00.
Sunday morning the furnace was off again. Called Comfort and he arrived within a couple of hours. Again, in what appeared as a personal vehicle.  He did the same thing as last time however, now he stated he felt the furnace would not stay running because air was coming in from the outside, through the vent tube. He showed our tenants how to turn the switch off and on to get the furnace stated IF it went off again. This time he was done with his diagnosis within 10mins.
We ( owners of the rental home) questioned his diagnosis and he stated  "technically" they were not without heat and  he would return on Tuesday to place a PVC downspout on the outside air vent.  When we questioned  further on how something so small as putting a downspout on an outside air vent could take him two days to complete, he told us did not have his ladder or equipment to complete it as he  does not sit around waiting for people like us to call. He stated  he has a very large job on Grass Lake to complete before he could get back to this one and frankly if we did not like his service we could find someone else to fix it. I would not recommend this very unprofessional, one man business to anyone unless you simply want to pay someone 65 dollars for a service call  to wiggle some wires and vacuum the front panel of your furnace. Oh, and by the way, we did hire someone else. They arrived on that Sunday after this joke left , and diagnosed the problem with meters and monitors. The problem was a valve not a downspout or a dirty instrument panel! They now have our business and will get a great review of their services.

After calling 15 area,  Heating and Cooling companies, I found Cliff & Sons to be the most knowledgeable in answering all my questions over the phone. They treated me with respect and took the time to explain, when other companies could not or would not.  Their service call fee was a very fair price and  they were able to schedule within a day or two. They arrived on time, and after a quick examination, explained the possibility of the the problem and the various ways to diagnosis it. After explaining my budget, they were able to begin. Once the problem was found, they fixed it within minutes.
I was not only impressed with their knowledge, I was impressed with the fact they are more than fair with their pricing.
I would strongly recommend them for any service work you may need.
Prior to this service call, I did not have a heating & cooling company that I would call on, but I do now. Thank you Cliff & Sons.

    This company several items:
    1) Replaced a mobile home type water heater with a direct vent and placed it in the basement. Needed all new copper
    2) unhooked 2 propane fireplaces and moved them to the basement, we will be selling these
    3) replaced vanity sinks and toilets in both bathrooms
    4) unhooked and moved stove while renovating
    5) several other odd jobs that required plumbing and gas specialists
we have used them several times over the last 4-5 weeks: excellant service and cleanup after job: direct vent water heaters with propane are more pricely. but long term advantageeous

the guy was kind enough to put his vacation on hold to work on my AC unit.
for the first hour we both stood there staring at the unit waiting for it to fail. of course it did not fail.. figures LOL
after i explained the symptoms again he said it most likely was the Compressor Cooling Fan and he gave me the option to replace it or let it go and he could come back another day.
as i have used them many times in the past i trust there opinion and had him go ahead and replace the fan.

This was one of the few contractors that would get back with me. He came out the next morning and quickly discovered a bird in my exhaust pipe. He quickly removed it. He also replaced the safety release valve that was leaking. He had to come out again to adjust the valve when the furnace was being used more because it was still leaking and he didn't charge me for that.

This provider has an office/business phone that is used for messages. There is not someone to take phone calls all day. They monitor the messages and also ask that you contact them by cellphone if you have an emergency. They are prompt and do a great job with plumbing, heating and A/C. They are also quick to respond to questions/concerns about anything that may be of a concern or that may need attention. They installed a new horizonal energy efficient furnace in 2010, then came back at my request in June 2012 to install A/C. They completed the job in one day and I had A/C by late afternoon. They are great to work with and do business with.
