It was easy setting up a time and l liked that they gave a 2 hour window. As it was they arrived about 90 minutes late. I do not feel that it was the employees fault but the schedulers. The employees were great! Polite, efficient and responsive to my questions. I would use them again.

Contacted Tom on Saturday morning, he was out that afternoon to give a quote.  $1200 to remove the four trees including stump grinding.  Another $25 for debris removal and $75 for one storm damaged tree trimming. Tom was very professional and knowledgeable of the trees on my property.  Tom and his team came out the following Wednesday morning and were done in three hours.  Completely removed the four trees and all the debris, only chip shavings from the stump grinding was left behind which is understandable since they grind the stump below the ground level.  Absolutely no damage and an excellent cleanup, especially where the four trees were located relative to our house, pool, and fence.  We were very impressed with their work, professionalism, and price.  You should definitely consider them at least to get their price quote.  I will continue to use their services, which they did more this just tree services.

I called to set up the appointment and a representative from the company answered my voicemail promptly.  I arranged an appointment a few days later.  I explained what I needed hauled away to the person who contacted me and told him that I had purchased an Angie's list coupon for $79.  I was trying to figure out in advance approximately how much it would cost in addition to the coupon.  The person explained size and weight considerations to me, but it didn't help me a lot--probably me.  At any rate, two men and a truck showed up on time a few days later and moved the items efficiently.  I didn't have anything in the house--the items were on the patio in back--so that simplified things.  The items were very heavy, as noted above.  The service cost approximately $320 in addition to the $79 coupon.  I was a little disappointed with the price, but my husband had warned me that hauling was expensive.  It was probably a very fair price--just not an expense you would want to incur too often.  The gentlemen who did the moving were very courteous.  Overall, it was a good and efficient experience.

Before I purchased the $89 haulaway deal on AngiesList, I called the company to find out what the details would be.  I spoke with Norm, the owner,  and.  I explained that my father had been a hoarder who had just passed away and we were left with quite a lot of stuff to purge and pitch.  Norm quoted me charges "that could be around $500" depending what I had to haul, and that I could purchase as many $89 loads on Angie's List as I needed to, to get the job done.  The  deal for a "load" was based on either 1/5 or 1/8 of his trucks and I understood that it would require more than one load, but he wasn't giving me any specifics.

Please  let me say here that I take total responsibility for not reading the reviews ahead of time.  If I had, I would have seen the hook.   I was in a hurry to get my dad's stuff hauled away and I purchased the deal based on the ad on the List page. If I had read
the reviews before purchasing his services, I would have been alerted to the upcharges.  Once I placed the order, Norm called me back immediately and we discussed specifics. A "load" for $89 consistutes 3 cubic yards = 3x3x3.  Not much at all.
While he offered me a number of options, at $89 for a 3x3 load, they were all going to cost me a great deal more, and we simply do not have that kind of money.  Norm was mostly interested in the metal.  He offered a reduced price to take all the metal we had, which was substantial at the time.   It's a good, sound business plan for him (we pay him to haul away metal which he will then take to a scapper for more money) but at $89 per 3 cubic yards, it was a costly proposition for us.    While Norm deserves credit for trying hard to make the sale appealing by adding options for me at a better rate, the bottom line is that $89 doesn't cover anything useful; it's just the starting price point for his upcharges.   Out of exasperation and defeat,  I said he could just come to haul my $89 worth of the stuff  but he said he would have to charge more for "for my men's time."    For a 3x3 load, he wouldn't need more than a 12-year-old kid!   I lifted that much myself!     The Angies List ad should definitely state that $89 is just his starting point, not the actual end price.   How about re-working the ad to more accurately state, "plus labor, distance, etc" ?  There is nothing done for just $89 - it is, as one reviewer called it, a "hook" - because he then charges for his men's time, distance, etc.   The reviews do say he does a great job if you're willing to pay his additional fees. When I explained I was left with the house and was not able to afford it, he said, "Well, aren't you going to sell the house?" Um....yes - eventually - but first of all, that isn't any of his business, and secondly, it needs so much work and that's why I shop for deals on Angie's List!

Please understand that I'm NOT trying to smear Norm or his business. He tried to help both of us benefit (although it was more for his benefit than mine),  but each quote was still out of line and more than our limited budget- -  and the $89 advertised deal is really just paying for a prompt phone call informing the buyer how  much more the deal would cost.     It is a recurring comment in the reviews.    It was an expensive  lesson for me at a time when we're counting pennies, but I will be a lot savvier now and I will rely on personal recommendations  because the only thing this "deal" hauled away was my $89.
