ANC CementMy experience with N.C. Cement exceeded my expectations. I had a lot of work done on my new construction home. I had over 5,000 square feet of exposed aggregate (pool deck, 2 round sitting areas and bands on sides of my driveway and the borders of my motor court) and it looks stunning! The way they do the exposed aggregate is so much nicer than any other exposed agg jobs that I’ve seen, especially considering the difficult slope I have in my driveway. The concrete looks beautiful with the exposed aggregate. Every neighbor or friend coming by our house stops and compliments our driveway. Not only do they do great work, they are wonderful to work with. The owner Nick is a super nice guy and really knows his stuff. Same with Brandon who worked really **** ** my house. They are honest and literally stopped working on my project because my footings by my front steps were not done right and he was worried about me having fractures in my concrete after he poured. That’s what makes them stand out in my opinion! They are professional, honest, hard working, punctual and get the job done quickly. I would use N.C. APMS PaversWe first used PMS in 2016 for a new patio. Then in August of 2020 we wanted to extend our patio. PMS matched our 4 year old patio perfectly. They were very professional and protected with sheets of plywood the part of our yard they had drive over in the bobcat. They made suggestions to what I needed and that made a difference. You certainly get what you pay for and we couldn't be more pleased.- Steve G.

They also honored their quote from February, even though I didn't give them the go-ahead until April and they didn't start until October. They were fully aware of my city's codes, applied for the the building permit and scheduled the open-form inspection before pouring. They knew all of the things I either didn't know or didn't think to ask, such as a 4-foot depth under the front stoop. The concrete is nice and even with the garage and the street, and is graded to guide water away from the house in all directions.- Rajiv A.

FQuick to underbid everyone and responsive at first. I had wanted to do the porch first since it was covering portions of the outside that needed to be painted. That wasn't accomplished. They give you a quote and then pitch it to a 3rd party whom you never speak with. They failed to paint as directed and cost me additional supplies because they kept painting the sections the wrong colors. They failed to mention what might be needed to complete the job and even though I asked several times on the second day what might be needed from me the next day so I could make arrangements, never thought to mention that my front door had to stay open for a few hours which I could have planned for with any warning other than minutes before and after I was already at work. They left a mess and came back to only blow off debris on my porch leaving my deck and yard looking like a junk yard. They quoted a cement job far less than others and promised to complete it this year. Only to do the paint job first which I asked them not to do which they assured me would not be problem. Now they claim they quote me a price that would lose them money. I've even offered to work with them but they have decided to ignore me. My house now has a paint job which isn't bad but was not done to the very simple directions we gave and has incomplete portions on the face of it. We were given the excuse that he had to pay them hourly but never acknowledged how much time was wasted due to a lack of commutation with me and their 3rd party crew. My porch will now not be done until next year by another company which means I get to start the whole process over again. Very disappointed. Gave them ample opportunity to make this right. Was upset that they couldn't honor their bid and was even willing to meet them halfway or all the way, just to be ignored and now I highly doubt they ever finish repairing the issues they left with the paint job, which I already paid for. Very deceiving and unprofessional. I never once was rude towards any of them and am very frustrated and upset by their inability to communicate and honor their word. I got the bid at the end of August and still haven't gotten a sincere answer from them since they took my money for the paint job.

FHaving previously contracted HomeSpec once before, I recommended them to my mother-in-law to repair a leaking rod hole. Instead, the sales person tried to sell her a $17,000 interior drainage package that would have caused major damage to her finished basement. Ultimately she hired a different contractor who repaired the rod hole and an exterior masonry problem for $250, their minimum charge.

AMatt does excellent work. Initially, he was hired to tear out a wet bar, install drywall and remodel the adjoining laundry room. He takes pride in his work and is very detailed and methodical in his approach. We were so happy with the results, I asked him if he would do other work we needed to have done - install security cameras and tv wall mount, caulk the interior and exterior of home, etc.,. Again, the same attention to detail and getting it right. Matt is now a friend and our go to guy.

AMy chimney crown was deteriated and needed to be replaced. I called a few companies and either they had high minimums or could not give an estimate for 4 weeks. I contacted Easy Home Improvement via their website and Gasper was out in two days to give me an estimate. He was professional and did not try to upsell me for anything. Gave me a written estimate/contract electronically which I signed that day. The team came out and did the job. They were very professional and took great care to not damage my property (e.g., tarps, hose off roof, not clean mortar bucket in lawn, etc) and cleaned up after. I was given an electronic paid receipt and pictures of the finished job as I have a two story house. Not sure how long the crown will last but I would reccomend this company to my friends.
