Then, just recently we had new windows installed. We, once again used Advantage Blinds and once again. We could ask for better service. ADinse Contracting LLCBrian Dinse and his employees and subcontractors did a top notch job from beginning to end. Our project began almost concurrently with the pandemic, so Brian faced unique challenges in carrying through, having to suspend work, per the governor’s orders, one day after he had begun. He was unable for this reason to do any work for the next six weeks. During this period, and in every phase of the project, he took pains to communicate clearly and fully with us about his schedule. Dinse Contracting is no company that shows up for a few days and disappears for weeks without notice; on the contrary, they appeared and stayed on as promised, and when they needed to work elsewhere, we knew about it. Brian and the people who work with him maintain very high standards: they are highly skilled, professional, and personable — they have been easy to have in our home over this considerable period of time. The meticulousness of their work is evident in our gleaming new bathroom, and the painting they have done elsewhere in our house has transformed those rooms beyond our expectations. A21st Century WindowsWe went with 21st century window to replace a large glass block window with a picture window. They were prompt and quick to install. Very knowledgeable about their products. Their prices are very appropriate, and they beat every quote that we received from larger companies. Cody has been more than helpful and professional, and the guys that came additionally to install were great. They have truly been fantastic to work with! We received text updates of window status and communication is awesome. We absolutely love the new window put in our kitchen, it is beautiful! We actually ordered 3 more windows before they were done with the install. We are happy to work with them again. Would definitely recommend these guys for an easy and efficient job! :)- Sarah H.

FOn 8/7/20 we had Harry from Josel Blinds come to measure for a set of blinds. After the consultation we paid him $399.96 as a down payment on the order. He cashed the check on 8/8/20. We were told it would take six weeks for the blinds to arrive. After 10 weeks we called him and he told us the blinds hadn’t come in yet. We called again on 11/4/20 and he said that the company never received the order and that he would have to come back to our house to remeasure. This was during the Covid shutdown so I called him several times and asked him not come back and he still showed up on my porch. At that point I asked him to please refund the deposit since the blinds hadn’t been ordered. He told me on 11/4/20 that he would refund the money. We called several times over the last few months. He’s blocked our calls on many occasions. He’s claimed he’s sent the refund. He’s said he didn’t have a copy of the original quote and that we needed to send it to him. We did this on 11/23. He’s asked for our address and names multiple times and has told us on multiple occasions he’s sent the refund. We have text messages of many of the conversations to support these claims. On 12/11 he’s again said he sent the check and that we would receive the refund by 12/15. We finally received a check on 12/17 for $299.96 which was $100 less then the deposit. When we told him he said he couldn't read his own writing. He sent a second check for $100. On 12/31 I received a notice from my bank that the $299.96 check bounced. I called him immediately and he said it didn't bounce. I send him a copy of the bank statement and he said he would send another check. My wife and I have called and texted him several times since. He's asked for our address again. He has scammed us! BEWARE!

FJames came out and we spoke, there was a verbal agreement that the job will be done in June of this year, but when my husband tried to contact him a month a half ago and again about 3 days ago, he didn't respond. James was unresponsive after that March meeting. We totally understand the pandemic situation, but he could have at least notify us if he is still interested in doing the job for us.

AEverything went well. We had chosen a color in advance and the painter Chris even suggested a better color that we actually liked better than what we chose. I was a stickler on clean lines and the painter and supervisor Connor made sure I had clean lines using precise masking. We were very pleased with the result!

CThe work went well. Mr. May showed up timely and performed the work as requested. Be that as it may, I asked repeatedly for an invoice and I’ve been unable to get one. Perhaps, I should have requested an invoice before remitting payment. However, now that I’ve remitted payment, I have been unable to get a paid invoice as would be professional and customary for work performed, particularly for a business. I need these items for my records not only for keeping track of income and expenses, but also to have a record of the contacts/contractors that I use for professional services. Because of the fact that I use several different contractors for various tasks, sometimes I forget which contractors were competitively priced, performed excellent work, and what kinds of work they are able to do. The goal is to create a directory of reliable and skilled contractors to use as needed.
