    Sales person was professional and prompt. His recommendations were accurate and I have not had a problem with water in the basement since the installation. He was correct with the scope of work. The installation took several days based upon not having enough bodies to do the pvc ditch work; hence the C rating on punctuality. HOWEVER, the young man who did do the digging was EXTREMELY professional and did a great job. It has taken me months to do this survey, but HE was the highlight of the work and I was very pleased with how his curtsy and diligent work. Gutters were good, but the crew had to come back once for caulk that was mis-applied and caused leaking in two joints. My service rep was very good as well. She responded to my calls and concerns right away and ensured crews came back. All and all, very good employees (esp. the man who put in the pvc drainage), but the fact crews had to come back on several occasions made the job frustrating.

    Would not let this company in your house unless you want to be insulted in your own home. Had a 5pm appointment with leaffilter and while the product was impressive, the sales guy (Keith was far from it). After going from a $1,574 price to a $1,000 price we started to tell him we really didn't know how much to expect and weren't ready to pull the trigger today as we needed to look at various options. He didn't like that. While sitting at my kitchen table he got agitated, sarcastic and rude. He actually said "thanks for wasting my time" - sitting in my house. Do not use.

    The installation of the roof went fairly quick and looks good. I have two issues. One (minor) was why some (two) of the gutters weren't secured to the side of the house and the ventilation windows for the attic that were to be installed. The latter is the focus of this review. The issue is that we were told the ventilation windows required custom build and had to be outsource, as our window size was not a standard size. On May 2nd, 2018, I was told that the estimate from Wimsatt, the vendor, would be 12 - 14 days. Roof Rite was paid in full in mid May with the agreed understanding that the vents for the attic would be installed immediately afterwards. It is now December 2018 and there has been no installation of the vents. I have been in touch with the site PM via text messages on a monthly basis, but have not received any indication that this task would be completed. NOTES and CLARIFICATIONS: The site PM said that there would be no cost for the manual labor of the installation, and the vents would be installed as a courtesy provided that I purchase the two vents. This was more of a gentleman's agreement than contractual. This is my error for believing and accepting that offer and is a lesson learned. The site PM said that should I want to install the vents myself, they could be dropped off. Seeing how I neither had the tools or laddering/scaffolding (a reason why I hired the company and requested the professionals complete the work), the offer seemed to imply that I had to wait until the company was good and ready to deal with me. In summary, the company has been paid in full, I have been asking for over 7 months on the installation of the vents and, in my eyes, the project has not been completed. There are ways to continue the working relationship if additional funding is required for work. In my line of work, that is called a 'change request'. To just ignore the issue ruins working relationships and ultimately damages the reputation of the vendor/implementation team. Please correct this.

    Rod went the extra mile and made the gutter work better than it ever has, added some extra hangers to make sure it would stay in place and cleaned out some clogged downspouts. He also replaced some fascia covering on another part of the house. His quote was the best and covered the most of the groups i spoke with. He also worked around my vacation schedule! Very happy with the service.

    Got a quote from them. The sales guy came out twice to double check and re-quote. I sent them a check for half of the amount in advance. Then they went into radio silence. No replies to texts or calls to schedule the work. After a few weeks of this, I sent them a final email threatening to cancel the job, Then a supervisor, Scott, called me told me the sales guy made a mistake and they need to re-quote. A different guy comes out and quotes me for a price 3 times the original quote. I object and he puts me on the phone with Scott. He yells and screams and I tell him that I had received multiple quotes and chose them. We had a signed contract that I was going to hold him to. He says in that case, it would be a few months before they could send anybody out to do the work! At this point I told him to just send me my money back. He hangs up on me!!! There is still no money back. My next step is to file a claim with the small claims court. These guys SUCK; stay away from them!

    I could not be more impressed with the work that JK did on our house. From our first meeting with Andy for the estimate all the way through the completion of the project, their professionalism and quality workmanship were wonderful. They had quoted us that it would take 4, maybe 5 days to do the needed work, and they finished everything in 3 1/2 days! On Monday they arrived just after 7 AM to do a complete tear-off & re-roof - by time I got back home from work that afternoon the roofers were done and had completely cleaned up after themselves. The siding crew then arrived on Tuesday morning and were completely done (including installing 2 new windows) by late afternoon on Wednesday. Again, each day the crew made sure that they had cleaned up their areas and didn't leave any messes or debris laying around. Thursday morning the gutter crew arrived, consulted with me about how/where I wanted the downspouts, as well as any issues we had with the old ones, and then were done and clean-up just after Noon. JK truly is a family run business and it shows. The owners were there everyday and were actually working - not just "supervising". Went it came time to finalize our bill (they were neither the cheapest nor most expensive) with them it was exactly what we had been quoted at the beginning, there were no hidden costs or extra fees. They genuinely under-promised & over-delivered for our project and I would recommend them to anyone.

    JK Home Improvements was originally considered for this project. Andy was very confident in their ability and their quality. We did speak with a few contractors and after receiving a few bids we went with another contractor. Unfortunately that quickly turned into a disaster and the contract was voided. So I called JK Home Improvements again. We explained what had happened with the first contractor and the terrible experience we had and why we were calling him back. He was ready to accept the 25% down payment on the original bid, but I wanted to walk through everything on the project again to confirm they could complete the job on our timeline. Andy was ready to proceed after the second walk through but we needed a window estimate because we added it to the original bid. He said he would get the revised estimate to us after hearing from the window rep. It would take a few days. We waited and then a few days after his visit he was back with someone walking around the house without letting us know he was coming. We were home and it caught us off guard to see people walking in the backyard unannounced. They left before we could talk with them. The next day he texted me stating my email was not delivering and we determined he made a typo in my email address. He corrected it and a short while later I got an email stating they now had concerns over one area of our home and they felt they couldn't do the entire project. I was shocked. No phone call, no discussion, and two separate visits walking through in detail the project and suddenly by email we find out they won't do the project. My neighbor had their home done by JK Home Improvements and I see they do quality work, but the customer service I received was less then professional.

    One of the owners came and provided an estimate -they were on time, professional, courteous. The two phases of work were done ahead of schedule and much quicker than expected. The workers did the work without me being there, did a great job, and left the work area clean. It was a great experience and they even threw in a bonus storm door! I would definitely use them again and recommend to others.i

    They were very professional and responsive. After the storm blew off almost half of our shingles, RHI came out the next morning and tarped the damaged areas. They met on our Property with our insurance company and the gutter supplier/installer and we had a new roof and gutter system within 2 weeks! It looks beautiful!
