I sat at my kitchen table for hours surfing the web and watching Ryan replace the skylight on my steep roof. AAnn Arbor HardwoodsI hired AA Hardwoods a few years back to refinish original oak floors as well as original baseboards and window casings in my 1930s house. Some of the baseboards were painted (probably many times over the decades), and the window casings were in ROUGH shape. Michael and his team are some of the most professional contractors we’ve hired. Michael was great about realistic about expectations, given that the pieces had been in place for 85 years. He warned that some pieces might break or not be salvageable. But he was amazingly careful and saved I think all of the original parts with some small exceptions. The floors and all the other trim work look awesome. At one point when one of Michael’s staff was putting the trim in, I noticed that one piece was out of order. Michael came personally and fixed it with no problem. They did spend more time on the project than originally expected, and so were over budget by a bit. Michael was kind enough to split the overages. I would definitely work with them again, and in fact, I have a new project, which is what reminded me to write this review. Definitely recommend!- Abel T.

ADinse Contracting LLCBrian Dinse and his employees and subcontractors did a top notch job from beginning to end. Our project began almost concurrently with the pandemic, so Brian faced unique challenges in carrying through, having to suspend work, per the governor’s orders, one day after he had begun. He was unable for this reason to do any work for the next six weeks. During this period, and in every phase of the project, he took pains to communicate clearly and fully with us about his schedule. Dinse Contracting is no company that shows up for a few days and disappears for weeks without notice; on the contrary, they appeared and stayed on as promised, and when they needed to work elsewhere, we knew about it. Brian and the people who work with him maintain very high standards: they are highly skilled, professional, and personable — they have been easy to have in our home over this considerable period of time. The meticulousness of their work is evident in our gleaming new bathroom, and the painting they have done elsewhere in our house has transformed those rooms beyond our expectations. AThis is the second time we have used Advantage Blinds. When we first moved into our home, we had them measure and install blinds and they were wonderful. Then, just recently we had new windows installed. We, once again used Advantage Blinds and once again. We could ask for better service. They are wonderful to work with and extremely nice and professional. I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to recommend them and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. I give them a very strong thumbs up!

AMartin and his team has been working on various projects with us for the past 2 years. Martin initially changed 2 of the windows and he did a great job at an unbeatable price, we subsequently had him change the 3 patio windows. Martin made sure the style matched the other windows and got the job done well within budget. We were so happy with the work that we asked him to replace all the 12 windows throughout the rest of the house as well. We also got 2 bathrooms and one powder room remodeled and got the kitchen redesigned including new cabinets, flooring, backsplash, insert lights, under cabinet lights and pendant lights. The reason I recommend Martin is that he works with your budget and your design. Very transparent about pricing as well, for instance he has receipts for all raw materials so you can be assured of what’s been used. The other big thing about Martin is his projects are turnkey, he addresses any associated issues that come up during the project (trust me, there is always something unplanned that comes up that needs fixing) and is very reasonable with pricing. E.g. when we did the flooring, we found the floor boards were squeaky and some needed replacement, he address all the issues promptly, fixed up the gradient - unlike some other big companies that don’t do any extra work in spite of charging boat loads of money. He and his team are very trustworthy, cost-effective, punctual, efficient and they always clean up after work has been completed for the day.

AMarsh contracting came in and took our 50+ year old bathroom and made it into a great, functional space. I wish I could explain the awfulness of the "before" situation they were facing. Tile and plaster 3 inches thick; square, heavy bathtub that need to be removed; galvanized steel pipes with years of corrosion blocking water flow. They had great suggestions for improvements and helped us stay within our budget while still taking care of the things that needed to be done. They were prompt and worked quickly; the only hiccup was on our side with a delivery issue, and they were able to work around it and keep the project rolling. Bob and his team were upfront with us on everything, and I felt that I had a clear idea of how the project was moving along, next steps, and the timeline for completion. Communication was never an issue, whether via email, phone, or text. And my super picky Father in Law has even complemented the great tile work!
