"Dr
deals almost exclusively with
's Disease and
body disease. If you want punctual don't" go to Dr
. If you want an exceptional physician go to Dr
. None of us (his patients) ever complain about the wait, and I do mean wait. We just bring a book or something to do until it's our turn. THIS MAN WALKS ON WATER! I've been his patient for 12 years and not once have I heard anyone say anything negative about him. It was a follow up appointment to evaluate the changes in my medication. I was totally out of control. After my treatment I am back on goal and doing very well.

"Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, even if you have to go out of town. Dr.
missed a diagnosis that 3 other doctors and a surgeon confirmed."
the receptionist gives out medical advice without consulting doctor, and the office is not patient friendly. I originally saw Dr.
for another opinion. She said she saw no indication of the condition (cervical dystonia) I have--even though 3 other doctors and a surgeon had all diagnosed me with it. She suggested it was due to a viral infection but gave no additional information, nor did she suggest any possible treatments. I started going to
Neurology Associates as my main neurologist, and this time I requested Dr.
. They stuck me with
again. 10 days before the appointment I sent in my paperwork, and they called me saying even though I have other insurance they can't see me because my injury was covered by workman's compensation, and they don't take that. Ok fine. I said I have several other problems, one being pain in my leg. WITHOUT SPEAKING TO THE DOCTOR, the receptionist
said leg pain can be caused by cervical dystonia (work injury), so we still can't see you. I was infuriated. I have had c.d. for 7 years and my leg pain just started. This was very unprofessional and I decided I wanted nothing to do with this practice. It is Feb 10 and I have been waiting since November. Now I have to start all over again! Unfortunately this is the only neurologist within 100 miles. There was one other but the doctor retired.
Neurology Associates requires a referral from your P.C. doctor. My doctor sent the referral but DNA claimed they did not have it. My doctor told me DNA does not like ANYONE to call (not even the doctors office) to check on the status. They want you to wait for them to call you. After 3 weeks went by I called and they had no referral. Took another 3 weeks before I was scheduled, and my appointment was 6 weeks after that.

The benefit is not in "choosing" a provider that is listed on AL - it is in using AL to screen potential providers before choosing one by looking at their ratings and reading the reviews prior customers havae posted, so you get a preview up-front of what people like or dislike about them. You can also google the doctors names combined with the word - complaints - to see other blogs and comments about specific doctors - there are also a few medical-specific review sites out there. In dealing with a specialist like a neurologist, your regular general medical provider can also provide recommendations. And be sure if your insurance company requires it (almost a certainty) that you have a referral from your general doctor AND insurance company pre-approval IN ADVANCE of the first visit if you want his/her services to be covered by your insurance.

I was kept in the waiting room ONE HOUR AND TWENTY minutes and NO ONE in the practice apologized. When I inquired about the delay and pointed out I had been waiting a long time, the receptionist said: Yeah? So?

The
Byron Center Neurologists Provider Name Locked
said I know you have been waiting a long time.
The NP saiid: its been one of those days. ...More />Dr. M did not acknowledge any delay.

The EMG procedure was never explained and portions had to be repeated because the NP forgot to save the data.

While I truly believe this is not their best or typical work, I am STUNNED by their cavalier attitudes.

Terrible - after waiting in an exam room for test results for 8 hours, when I asked if my family could come in - she said she didn't have time for that. She had me more frightened then anything - She has NO bed side manners.

friendly and attentive to all details of my situation, but no conclusion on cause of problems... I didn't like long lead time for future tests and appointments for a situation I was quite troubled by...about 2 months for a testing date and 3 months for follow up appointment... overall, I think my displeasure with scheduling and communication is typical for many doctors' practices...

My last appointment was during the summer. I was preparing for back surgery and wanted his opinion. He assured me that the surgeon I was using was good and would definitely tell me if he wasn't. I appreciated his honest opinion.

During the whole pre-surgical process,

I had to wait 4 months to get in to see Dr
Byron Center Neurologists Provider Name Locked
. On the day of my appointment I was asked to arrive 30 minutes early even though the paperwork was mailed to me prior and I had it completed before I arrived, but I did as asked. I then continued to wait almost 2 hours in the waiting room until I was taken back to a small room that appeared to be some type of disorganized, overstuffed library. The staff person then told me that the doctor was running late and would be with me shortly, but I was free to go to lunch instead of waiting there if I wanted. What I really wanted was to be seen and be able to leave altogether since I had already waited so long and lived an hour away. About 30 minutes later I was taken to an exam room (after questioning how much longer I would have to wait) where the staff person took my vitals and then I waited some more for the doctor. In total, I waited about 3 hours, and this was after waiting 4 months for the appointment.
I was actually referred to Dr
Byron Center Neurologists Provider Name Locked
by my normal neurologist as she is the only neuro doctor in the area that gives botox injections for headaches. However, I left there with two injections of some type of anti-inflammatory (not botox), 4 new prescriptions, an increase for another medication I was already taking, and instructions to talk to my family doctor about increasing yet another med and switching a med. In total, that is 2 injections, 4 new prescriptions, increases in 2 existing prescriptions, and changing 1 existing prescription. Although I did initially follow her orders, after about 3 weeks I felt absolutely horrible (pain became consistently a 9-10). I also determined that if I increased the one medication as directed, I would be taking 16 pills of just that one med every day. Add that to the others she prescribed and the medications I take for other conditions and I would be taking a total of 34 pills/day. All this and she did not even discuss the botox injections with me.
I was kind of left in
Byron Center Neurologists Provider Name Locked
in that I guess I was just supposed to keep taking these meds until I came back to see the nurse practitioner, since I was given a form explaining that they would not call in new scripts, refills, change meds, etc without coming in to see the doctor. I have never heard of any doctor being like that, especially when prescribed so many new medications at one time. Then my follow-up appointment with the doctor was not for 4 months, yet I had no choice on day or time so it was scheduled for so late that I would not be getting home until after 7:30 at night, and that is making the wild presumption that she would somehow be on time that day.
I could never recommend any doctor that is this pill happy, especially on the first visit. I would rather live with the headache than return to see Dr

I’ve been seeing him since September of 2014. He’s always abreast to my current health, provided an explanation of symptoms and care that was being delivered, and he’s extremely easy to talk to. The office staff was very kind and professional.

Dr. Czander methodically worked with me, running his own tests and then sending me out to various specialists to trying and sort out the problem. Turns out I had a rare condition that could happily be fixed. Without Dr. Czander's patience and tenacity I'm not sure I would ever have been diagnosed.
