    Kingsley movers are fantastic! We only used their moving services, and chose to pack ourselves. Personable, professional, and exceptionally well priced. We had a team of three movers, and each member was courteous and efficient. They moved our entire 4 bedroom home into a 10x30 storage unit. Highly recommend them and if we ever move again we will be calling them!

    To say this was a poor experience is a drastic understatement. One of the guys was 35 minutes late, then moved at the pace of a turtle and was folding moving blankets versus moving things. They both lied to their boss, one saying he unloaded "half the truck" while the other guy was late. He also, told his boss he was only 15 minutes late versus 35 and they are paid by the hour. We unloaded a 1/4 of the truck ourselves waiting for the 2nd guy to show up. We directed them on what to take where and were told we were "bitchy", angry and were chirping at them. They hit several walls, damaged quite a bit of furniture and all in all was awful moving things into the home. Moving into the storage unit should be simple but they made it difficult. They were going to stack extremely heavy boxes on top of fragile boxes, didn't organize anything so that more could fit in storage. It felt like this was their first time and when we directed them what to do they seemed put off. They also took a tote with wheels that was marked fragile and said "Oh look it has wheels" and ran it down the ramp to a loud bang at the bottom. When told that was marked Fragile they again seemed put off. They then called our stuff "Crap" when talking to the owner and lied again about how long it took. The last straw was the late guy then asked, "Do you have the cash?" The owner never communicated how payment was to be made, took sometimes a week to return a call or text and the communication was just not good All I can say positively is the owner is an extremely nice guy and when you talk to him he is very charming and funny. Also, they were cheap, but you get what you pay for. Steer clear, there are better options for sure!

    First, let me lead with the overall sentiment that there were many times in the moving process where I wondered if I’d hired a legitimate company. Actually, as I just filed a complaint with the BBB in an effort to receive promised reimbursement and remedy for a job poorly done, I can’t say I was ever truly convinced. We hired UMSC to pick up a rapidly accumulated 4 bedroom’s worth of things, store it all at their facility in Grand Rapids until we found our new home in the San Antonio, TX area, and then move it all to our new place. To list all of our major grievances to spare you the novel I’d inevitably write if given the space: (1) either the movers or storage facility excessively dismantled everything not stored in a box or a solid piece of wood or metal, resulting in a ton of inconvience as we later had to figure out what was missing what, where those pieces were, and then put it all together and some items had been reassembled elsewhere, as could be seen by the wrench marks left behind. We’re still looking for the missing track to a desk drawer. (2) The movers exaggerated or lied about the condition of our things, specifically a few brand-new pieces we’d unwittingly purchased right before finding out we’d need to move and a plastic crib mattress. The brand-new items were described like everything else: “worn,” “scratched,” dented,” etc. and I happened to see a mover drop the plastic mattress into the dirt of our front yard (no big deal, it’s plastic and easily cleaned), but we later saw they’d written a note on the mattress box claiming it had been covered in dirt when they first picked it up. ??? (3) Kevin was... frustrating. We wanted to move in on 7/11/20, so he told us our delivery could happen between 7/8-7/11... a problem as we wouldn’t own the house until the afternoon of the 10th. Pushing the delivery range back to 7/11/-7/15 would cost us another $418.88 in storage fees, too. Also, Kevin wouldn’t tell us which of those days to expect the moving truck until 7/10/20, the day of our closing. Later, on 7/15/20, which the movers were supposed to arrive, but didn’t, Kevin would be utterly useless. Cue 3+ hours of promising to get more info and call back, which he never would. Every time I called, he revealed a little bit more, some of which were complete lies, before acting out some scene where he pretended to give “the guys in San Antonio” a chewing out while I “accidentally” overheard. It was all a joke to him, meanwhile, I’m standing in an empty house that we’ve been camping out in for the past 5 days, trying to figure out how to tell my husband that he’d been right about these guys all along. We’d have to wait another 3 days for the movers. (4) So I was done with Kevin and got passed along to his manager, John L., who was at least apologetic and, as hindsight has unfortunately revealed, simply much more skilled at the con. I have a tendency to give the benefit of the doubt and prefer the honey approach to vinegar, so I really wanted to believe John meant well and would come through for us, but it’s been over 5 weeks since he promised the check to reimburse us for the unused storage we’d paid for and the $150 remedy for them taking longer than promised and we’ve received nothing. Just steer clear, unless you’re masochistic and want to pay to be lied to a lot.

    Morse Moving & Storage Inc- Allied Van Lines
    We needed a 3 person moving team as we had heavy items upstairs and Morse Moving’s idea of a competent team was to send a dad, his approximately 16 year old son and his son’s friend to move our things out of our house and move a few items into a temporary apartment and the rest into a temporary storage facility. It was a long day of moving heavy objects and the kids got tired and fed up early. Unfortunately, this led to every possible shortcut, including not bothering to wrap any pieces of furniture (they assured us this was being done in the truck) and apparently dumping the items to be stored in the middle of the warehouse floor like abandoned trash (per the team that eventually moved our things into our new house). The day we were scheduled to move into our new home was a disaster, as the movers were scheduled to arrive between 11 and 2pm and never did. Finally, after calling around to find out what was going on, a crew that had orchestrated a couple of other moves that day were sent to pick up our things from the warehouse floor, pick up the furniture from our temporary apartment, and then move it all into our new home. They arrived at our apartment, worn out and weary, around 8pm. We helped move everything into the truck and headed over to our new place (all local). The massive moving truck arrived, stereo blasting and even the idling engine roaring, in our sleep neighborhood at nearly 11pm, so we asked for our mattress so we could camp out in the new place and they could deliver everything the next day. They didn’t, as they were either off or assigned elsewhere, so the truck with everything we owned (minus the mattress and few other items we’d put in our car), sat locked in their parking lot. Thankfully, the GM of Morse Moving agreed to meet me at 7am in their parking lot so he could unlock the truck and locate my husband’s computer as he couldn’t miss work that day and the moving truck finally arrived after lunch. As soon as we got to the items that had been in storage, we realized there would be a huge problem. Literally everything was damaged in some way, such as deep gouges, missing parts, smashed to bits after being stored under heavy items. Tables didn’t have legs, boxes labeled “Fragile” were crushed to a third of their height, and the hits just kept on coming with each item taken off the truck. This move happened a few years ago (2015) and I realize the bulk of the damage was done because they sent the wrong moving team, however, I keep posting these reviews because Morse Moving would not move any further in the claim process until we’d paid them the rest of our storage fees. As in, we needed to pay for having our things dumped in a pile in the middle of their warehouse, where some items would go missing due to the utter lack of care received. One of the movers who’d picked our things up from the warehouse said he’d passed the pile often and just thought it had been abandoned due to lack of payment. My husband is a stubborn man and refuses to pay for storage for the principle of the matter and, as such, nothing was ever fixed and other attempt was made to help remedy the situation.

    They were super - if you could give them 10 stars I would. I had a 3 story townhouse on a hill, and the truck couldn't make it up the hill so they had to carry the stuff a lot further. They were fantastic - not cheap, but for what they had to do it was a fair price

    These guys we great! Honest, efficient, fun & friendly. This was a long distance, in state move. Waterford to Traverse City. They showed up on time, they were careful with my belongings, polite and respectful. Being a single female with little experience hiring a moving company I was very cautious. I got a couple of quotes, but when I met John for him to quote the job I was put at ease. He just seemed like a good guy, and that’s just what he and his crew turned out to be. If I ever need to hire a moving company again, Personal Touch will be the only call I make. The price was right & the job was done well. Highly recommend!

    Excellent work . The crew packed and prepared my furniture for long term storage. They moved everything in containers and delivered to storage. The crew were great, friendly and efficient. I worked with several employees in storage, all were wonderful and very helpful. My storage containers were delivered on Oct. 6th by a 2nd crew. The gentleman contacted me several times, keeping appraised of their time and when they would arrive. This crew were also friendly and efficient. The move went smoothly on all points and I would use this company again as well as recommending them.
