    Every aspect of my appointment was disappointing. I have insurance but somehow this office has figured out how to bill for services not covered by insurance. (They charge for a premium contact fitting and insurance covers a standard-I didn't seen any differences in the exam I was given over exams I've had in the past).

    I ordered 4 boxes of contacts and when I picked them up I was only given 2 boxes. I was told that I only ordered 2 boxes (even though I had a receipt showing I paid for 4 boxes), I had to argue for about 10 minutes to get them to order the other 2 boxes that I paid for. The staff was very rude and refused to acknowledge they made a mistake in ordering my contacts. I will never return and would not recommend this office to anyone. It's a shame because the Doctor was nice.

    ,,After the initial appointment with the U of M Comprehensive Ophthalmology Clinic, my husband was seen by Dr. Cornblath and he was examined further. He was sent for bloodwork to determine if he had Myasthenia Gravis which would possibly cause his double vision, he does not. He was then fitted with a prism that was prescribed by Ida L. Iacobucci, who was just terrific. My husband's double vision was corrected with the prism fitted in one lense of his glasses. We still don't know what caused his double vision for sure. He is to be examined again May 2, 2013. We were very impressed with everyone at the Clinic and the excellent service we received there.

    I should have sued him. I have night blindness now. I take medication for breathing so I shouldn't have had the operation. He wouldn't take the lenses off unless I came up with some more money for another operation even though it was his mistake. I'm left with a glow at night. My eyes are terrible. He left stitches in my eye for three months. I will not see him again in the future.

    He is very professional and very careful. He explains things and takes time to answer questions and he is just very thorough. When I had my Lasik, it needed a correction and he took care of that. He is just extremely professional. The only thing is that when I go there I wait in the waiting room for a bit, but everything else is wonderful.

    The owner is Jeff Gysel.  He is the sole proprietor and he has a very good selection of frames.  He is very thorough.  Both my husband and I needed glasses.  My husband’s glasses are very expensive.  So he is very mindful of that.  We both ended up with prescription sunglasses.  He first showed us the frames that were on sale to save us some money.  He submitted the insurance for us.  He is very professional and he is doing this for years.  He is actually the only place we go to get our glasses made because he will put the lenses in your frame while you are waiting there.  When you go to your eye doctor you have to send your frames to a lab.  They will then fit the lenses and send it back.  With my husband’s eyes it just cannot be done.  He has someone in the office who does eye exams.

    He is a very good optometrist. He will refer you to an ophthalmologist if you have need of one, but if your needs are straightforward, he's great. I have been going to him for three years. He doesn't have enough to do when you're waiting for him, but I won't complain. The staff is friendly.

    We are happy with them. We've been seeing him for about nine years. Friends recommended him to us. They are close and they take our insurance. We like the office and the personnel. He did some eyelid surgery on me. He had gotten quite a few awards and his office is pretty full. He will answer our questions and he is trustworthy. We feel comfortable with him. It does take a while to get in with him. We normally schedule our appointments when we are there. We believe that they overbook a little bit.
