    Atlantic Coast Waterproofing Inc
After years of having a flooded basement we contacted Atlantic Coast Waterproofing. Gary, the owner, came to our home and explained the process he would use to guarantee (life time and transferrable) a dry basement. His explanation was very detailed and he answered all of our questions. The job was started promptly when scheduled and completed in the projected time frame. Plastic was draped over the basement contents to protect from dust, so the mess was minimal. All of the work was handled by the crew, Gary, Cody, Casey, Phil, and the very talented cement finisher, Richard. They cleaned the work site every day so that they were starting fresh the next day. The entire crew of Atlantic Coast Waterproofing possess a very strong work ethic. They are courteous, dependable, and considerate of their client's property. The saying "you get what you pay for", is very true in this case. The job exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Gary and his company for your waterproofing needs.

    Atlantic Coast Waterproofing Inc
Our basement had water coming in between the walls and the floor after the winter thaw and subsequent heavy rains in the spring, despite having 2 sump pumps in one well and adding gutters and downspouts to the house last year. While waiting for a basement waterproofer we knew from our last home, we checked Angie's list and were impressed by the great reviews received about this company. We called, and the owner, Gary, came out that day to assess our situation, explain why were were getting the water, and recommend a plan to correct the problem. His knowledge of water management, his experience, his explanations, and the lifetime unconditional guarantee, convinced us that he was the right one to hire. The job was a very big job, and it took Gary and his crew 9 days working 8 hours a day to complete it, but they were all prompt, hardworking, professional, and knowledgeable, plus they all seemed to enjoy their job and take pride in their work. We often went downstairs to observe and ask questions, and Gary took the time to answer all our questions, as well as to explain in detail the various stages of the job as they were doing it. Because Gary was there on the job every day all day, the specifics of the internal drainage system was determined after all the trenching was done and they could see the best way for the water to flow. With a job like this, I would beware of a contractor that decides everything at the onset and is not there on the job, because flexibility seems to be important in getting the best outcome. In the end, although we would have preferred not to have needed to have this job done at all, we know that we made the right decision for a permanent solution, and we have complete confidence that this will solve our water problem. Thanks Gary and his crew!

    Davis Outdoor Svcs LLC
Great! We absolutely love the work they did. It has improved our home's curb appeal and value. It is a joy to come home to such wonderful craftsmanship. Their attention to detail shows and they worked very well with me (a woman) to help achieve my vision. The LED lighting is spectacular at night. I would highly recommend Davis Outdoor Services and will not hesitate to hire them again.

    Wright Design & Remodeling
We really enjoyed working with Steve, Erik, and their entire crew. From the initial contact to the end of the project, Steve was very quick to respond to emails and phone calls. After looking at our space, he drew up two different plans for the project that we were able to choose from and the quote we received was very competitive with other companies that we looked at. We got straight-forward answers to all our questions from everyone who worked in our home... an over all super friendly and professional crew! The work was quality and the process went smoothly with just a few minor delays. We have had our finished basement for about 6 months now and not once have I wished that we did anything differently. We would definitely consider Wright Design and Remodeling for future projects!

Hard to determine how hydro seed goes until it comes up. We hydro seeded later in the fall so did not know result until spring. I think he hydro seeded with weed mix. Very unhappy with the lawn appearance, too many weeds and fescue. Do not believe the soil was properly prepped nor did he put in enough topsoil on a very clay based lot. Very light on the mulch and will have to completely redo. Downspots were buring but the outlet placed incorrectly resulting in erosion and required replacement. Set up the beds for soaker hose and could not get him to respond to calls to complete the job. Overall, poor performance, and poor communication. No response when tried to get him to finish the job. Cannot recommend.

I would HIGHLY recommend Alan.  This was a two month process that went flawlessly.  Alan is very professional, not at all phased with our many changes. He kept us informed thru-out and everything was kept very clean.  His finish work is impeccable and we are so pleased.  Our custom bar is perfect!

    Top Grade Llc
Fantastic! His regrading of the gravel driveway removed all the potholes and smoothed out the grooves. No added gravel was needed at this time. He even promised to come back after the next hard rain and smooth it over again for free. Unbelievable. He saved me thousands of dollars being quoted by an excavator to bring in tons of crushed limestone and re-grading my 100 yard driveway.

If you have a gravel driveway, it needs annual maintenance. If you have a gravel parking lot and want to get rid of the weeds and smooth things over, Top Grade Driveway Grooming is your guy! And if you have a private gravel road, say no more. Sign up for a regular improvement program that adds extra gravel, maintenance for $1500 a year.

    H20 Waterproofing
Project begun approximately March 1, 2015.   Project completed:  May 11, 2015.  WORST EXPERIENCE DEALING WITH A COMPANY EVER.   PLEASE SAVE YOUR SANITY AND HIRE SOMEONE (almost anyone) ELSE BUT THIS COMPANY!!
I have noticed many times on Angies List when I read the reviews that when there is a negative review, very often the owner(s) of the company will post some sort of bland, "happy sounding" "Oh, we try to please everyone, but YOU (the consumer) where just so . . . (fill in the blank, here) . . . crazy, cranky, unreasonable, whatever.    PLEASE don't let them get a way with that here.   I am kind, non-crazy, and was as reasonable and accommodating as a human being can be.
Where DIDN'T they screw up royally?    Let me count the ways:    By delivering carpet to my home without calling me ahead of time to mention that they WERE delivering carpet.   That's right.   No call.   The carpet guys in their van just showed up.   I was like:  "Hmmm. . . wonder who that is?  Since I know I don't have any appointments on calendar for today?"   WORST thing is that H20 had just finished painting the basement the day prior to the carpet delivery.    Several of the painters admonished me as they were leaving, stating:   "Make sure you give it AT LEAST three days to dry."
Overcharged for everything, to a huge extent.   I must have mention to them 8 or 9 times:  "Remove the part where it says:  "Crime Scene Cleanup" .   This was a flood.  Not a crime.   They never did remove it from the invoice.   ALSO, the company never cleaned up after themselves.    The drywall guy left a huge mess in my basement on the floor.   Drywall has to be sanded at some point.  Well, they left that sanding mess for me to clean up.   What a drag.  This was after I had politely asked them to be sure to have one of their workers bring in a shop vac to clean up the painting and drywall debris after the workers were finished.  Never happened.   They also left drop cloths taped to the floors and I had to remove them.
The drywall guy left a huge "bump" in the wall, and in took several months to get them to come back and repair the dyrwall correctly.   One of the principals of the company became so belligerent with me that I ended up feeling so threatened that I actually called the police.  Yep.   I had to have the police talk to the guy.   THEN they had their attorney call me.   This was at the end of April.   Listen, getting the attorney involved was the best thing that ever happened to me.   H20 finally had to finish the work correctly, show up on time after making an appointment with me, and provide me with a different drywall guy than the first guy who screwed up the job.   THIS COMPANY WAS TERRIBLE IN EVERY WAY YOU CAN IMAGINE.

You Got A Guy Construction LLC
Terry and his crew refinished our basement and it looks great. Terry's communication with me was excellent. Whenever I had a question he would get right back to me with an answer. The quality of the work was also excellent. He and his work crew, Kevin and Russell were very dependable and hard-working. They always showed up when they said they would and consistently cleaned up at the end of each day. They obviously take a lot of pride in their work and it shows. Terry's other crew (electrician, drywaller, painter, and window-installers were all very good as well.)
I would highly recommend You Got A Guy Construction.

    King Septic Service
Ed Bugis was wonderful to work with.   I had a leak in the pipe leading from my home out to the septic tank.  Horrible raw sewage was seeping down the wall underneath the pipe and leaked onto the floor and underneath the carpet.  Ed was quickly able to see what the problem was and what was causing it.   He also said because it was INSIDE the house, that it was the domain of a plumber to repair the problem.   If the problem was outside, then it would have been a septic issue.   I am still hopeful that all is well with my septic system and there are no problems with THAT.   So, on with my story.  On an unbelievably freezing cold day (even for Michigan), Ed and his two helpers were outside digging through the snow and frozen ground to solve my problem.   Ed went above and beyond to help me.   He left me his cell phone number so that the plumber could speak with him directly and get a further diagnosis of the problem.   This leak was a complicated and troublesome type of problem to fix because a lot of the problem was not visible through the wall.   In other words, the pipe had to be cut away and removed and looked into before further diagnosis of the causes of the leak could be figured out.    Ed made recommendations and provided me with a phone number for a plumber that he had personal knowledge of.    I could tell that Ed genuinely cared about how stressed out I was and also that he saw that the problem was a serious emergency.    Ed even followed up with me the next day on his own time to see if I had been able to contact the plumber!    He actually provided me with another phone number for the plumber since I had not been able to track down a plumber that could come out on short notice.   But get this:    I actually had the plumber that I DID find (since it turns out that Ed's plumber was on another job and just was not available) call Ed and have him talk to him and describe the problem so that the plumber was not just going in there "blind" without knowing what he was getting into.   AND Ed was at a sports activity with one of his children and STILL took the time to talk to the plumber and be helpful about  my problem!    So, guess what?  If I ever (God forbid) have any type of septic issue again, I will be calling King Septic Company.   Professional, prompt, courteous and KIND.   Thanks so much, Mr. Ed Bugis!   I appreciate your kindness during a difficult and stressful time.   There is still basement cleanup to do and I have to talk to my insurance company, but at least the leak is fixed now and there is no more sewage and/or water leaking into my basement.
