    Called back to know the price, as was considering doing it myself (not recommended) and the springs are about $45 each. The person who answered was evasive and non-committal on how much it would cost. I thought I smelled a scam or up-sell. Cancelled the appointment (btw, I was mistaken in follow up conversation below - thought it was a young lady). The Owner called back, much to his credit, to make it "right". The "damage was done" and my instincts were to stick with my decision and declined his offer. Just a lesson to make sure you know what you are getting into - not saying they are bad, but in general, be careful.

    Tension line that pulls door up and down snapped due to corrosion. Door was stuck in place, due to lack of tension on the snapped side. Couldn't even manually close the door. We were about to leave town for several days. Left emergency message on Door Dr voice mail on Sunday evening. Got call back at 7.30 a.m. Technician arrived about 9 am, and the line was replaced (along with two additional unrelated problems the technician discovered) in less than an hour. Danny was personable, knowledgable and very helpful -- including pointing out some additional places for me to lube regularly that I hadn't been doing. Great job!

    I called them on Friday to repair my garage door. They scheduled someone to come out the next day between noon-3:00. At 11:00 they called to tell me they weren't coming due to the snow. He was apologetic and we re-scheduled for Monday at 9:00. Of course, they didn't show up or call on Monday.

    I purchased the $99 offer and called in to schedule the appointment. Scheduling was not an issue and in general, seemed to be very flexible. When the day finally arrived, I found out that they had my phone number noted down wrong. So they were not able to reach me. I called back and they were able to reschedule the same day and it was no problem. When the service person finally arrived, he found out that he did not have the strip that they needed for the garage door. He cut a piece from the garage seal to take with him so, he could bring the right one next time. I was promised that I'd get a call back on Monday. Next week, I never got a call back until I called again on Friday to see what's going on. I was able to get an appointment again on Saturday. Guy arrived and replaced the bottom seal. Before he began, I did not realize that this is a different seal than what he had cut out a sample of, two weeks ago. I do not know if the seal he replaced, needed replacement at all. Sure enough, when we closed the garage door, the gap was still there and the door was essentially in the same condition as before. I was told that the gap is because of the dip on my garage floor and there's nothing they could do about it. They also had never seen a secondary strip before. I believe, if this was a problem, then it should have been identified in the first visit during inspection. I don't know why they had to cut the piece out from the older strip, if they had no intention to replace it with the exact same one. Overall, I thought this interaction was very unprofessional and a waste of time and money. I'd recommend being very careful with what you're in for, before purchasing this kind of service with Mammoth. Of course, I paid them for their time and service once it was done. But I did not get anything out of it.

    I called to make an appointment at 11:30am. I spoke with A-1, explained the issue we were having, and asked to make an appointment. They had 2 service people at our home by 12:05pm. We had feared our unit needed to be replaced. It turned out to be a worn internal part that needed to be replaced. They were informative about options and pricing and got to work straight away. They were done and on their way by 12:40pm, and our garage door opener system is working better than it ever has. They also gave us some pointers on a couple of other items to keep an eye on for future wear, but emphasized that none of it was in need of repair or replacement now. Very courteous and speedy, I am completely pleased.

    They lied me the date they supposed to come. No phone calls no one showed up. I called back they hear my name then hang up. Never answer my phone. Waste my whole day waiting. If you can't do it just let me know at beginning. Pretend to hold a appointment lie to your customers.

    It went swimmingly well. I called A-1 at 9:00 this morning and was told someone would be here between 11 and 3. Matt, a cheerful and professional technician, called at 11:10 and was here ten minutes later. He quickly diagnosed the problem, gave us the price, and had the door perfectly repaired in an astonishingly short time. All in all, a very positive experience resulting in a very happy customer who would happily call A-1 again. This was our 4th time using their services, and we've always been happy with their work.

    Linda was awesome to deal with from inquiry to the purchase. I was informed of a 4 week lead time and to call back when that far out. I did and target was Nov 1. Well, when it came around to Nov 1, they could not do it until Dec 1. That's a significant difference. Informed it was a all day install (but we knew the scope up front). In fairness, she did call back with a mid-Nov install due to a cancellation. I already scheduled the time off with work for 12/1. Day of install, they showed up about 11am (all day for me is 8 hours and was expecting no later than 9am start). Just listing facts, their start time did not matter to me. The gentlemen was fine and the kid helper was very polite and seemed appreciative (thumbs up for the kid). Work looks really great except for one detail. The wiring for the lasers I expected to run up the wall, across the header, then straight to the door opener. Instead, it was tossed in the rafters and run loosely (no staples) from the corner of the garage over to the opener. I have items in the rafters (storage) so it's reasonable to see this will be an issue. Punctuality a B (would say A-). Reason - extra weeks of delay for install (primary). Quality a B (would say A-). I really don't want to provide B, but to toss the wire in the attic that way is not excellent / prideful work. He had the wire (it was left in the boxes of trash they left... btw, I agreed they could leave the boxes of garbage). I've kept it and will end up finishing the work in the Spring. Overall is still an A. In the full and complete service provided, were they perfect? No, but real close in my book. There is a lot of elements in the full service and scope of work. If AL had a +/- value, they'd get an A (vs A+) with 2 minor dings (of A-). If/when I have an issue here or at any of my rentals, they will be the team I call.
