    Terrible - your typical try to "rip off people who do not know about cars." Estimated to fix muffler for $750 - Told I needed a direct fit converter (a part that would cost $630 and sells on line for $57). Did not need this at all. Took car to Mr. Muffler in Royal Oak and total cost to fix muffler was $150. Simply needed flex pipe replaced. So disgusted with this place.

    I give R C Trans and Gear my Highest Recommendation. Over several years, I have had three different jobs done at R C Trans, totally thousands of dollars. Yes, trans work is expensive, that���s why it���s important to find a shop that gets it right ��� R C Trans gets it right. I had a clutch done on an Xterra Off Road ��� it worked better after R C Trans��� work than it had before it wore out. I had the Rear Axle seals done on that Xterra as well. Again excellent work. They also did a transmission rebuild on a 200,000+ mile Honda Odyssey. The day I picked it up, it make a trouble-free round trip to Indianapolis ��� over 11 hours on the road. The rebuilt trans shifted smoother than when the mini-van was new. Important points: 1. Mike and Del are polite, professional, straightforward, extremely knowledgeable, and honest; 2. R C Trans REBUILDS transmissions on-site. They are not an installer of transmissions rebuilt elsewhere, as are so many so-called transmissions shops; 3.R C Trans & Gear���s prices are fair. You really do get what you pay for. If you are looking for a top-notch transmission shop, you���ve found it at R C Trans & Gear. John Mularoni Bloomfield, Michigan

    Other people had said they would have trouble finding the part but Quality had no problem. They ordered it, and called me it didn't even take a week. Did a great job and did it quickly. When I arrived the place was quiet and clean, and they did the job in 30 minutes. The place was just superb. I thought I was going to have to pay $50 but they told me it was completely covered by my insurance. They were just unbelievably good. I was amazed, they said they've been there for about 20 years but I'd never heard of them. The manager Jeffrey was polite quick and pleasant. In this day and age you kind of expect not wonderful service but it was just great.

    Had to do oil change in a hurry, Dennis told us he would do the job if we come within the hour. Dennis was polite, he fit us in at the end of the day. Had questions about vehicle's transmission because of long trip. He was very informative.

    They do mufflers, and not much else but they're very good at what they do and incredibly cheap and fast.  The waiting area is like most cheaper repair shops, nothing to talk about.  What's great is that they roll you right into the service bays and can weld up/fix something ASAP.  They'll fix a LOT of smaller issues for a flat $20.

    We only had one day in which to get the work done.  Tim had to buy the new mounts from his wholesaler.  He was very accommodating and squeezed our job into his workload.   After the work was done, he showed us the cracked mounts that he had removed.  There were visible fissures on each mount; plus, the cracks were rusty.  During the time the car was being worked on, Tim kept us appraised by cell phone of his progress.   He possesses excellent communication skills.

    I own a 2002 Mercedes convertible that I affectionately call Mabel. When she started to rust, I took her to one of the most well known shops in the area who told me to sell the car. When I went to B and B, they understood how much the car meant to me and assured me that she would be as good as new. Nick, the manager, made sure that I was I informed of their progress with the car. They did a superior job. Mabel looked great. They stuck to their original bid, which was very reasonable for the amount of labor involved. When I picked up the car, Nick told me to bring the car back for a hea.vy waxing in preparation for winter at no cost. I would highly recommend this shop for their personal commitment to quality and service. A great experience all around.

    It's never fun to have your vehicle body damage repaired, but Nick and the team were fantastic to deal with. I was treated with respect, compassion and professionalism right from the start  and I was welocmed in to check on my vehicle during the process with details explained.
    They seem to know and understand when customers have a special connection with their vehicles and definitely followed through with everything explained and promised.
    My vehicle was clean and in great shape when I picked it up and needless to say the workmanship was outstanding. These guys have some pretty high-stakes customers in dealing with museum restorations and whatnot so they have the skills to do great work, but don't look down on insurance work nor putting a daily driver back together again.
    B&B defintely has my business from now on.

    Walked into office to get a quote on body work on my car and was greeted by an empty chair behind the counter. Waited a few minutes assuming someone would come to the front counter. An employee down the hall saw me as he entered, what looked like, a storage area. No greeting or 'wait just a minute, please'. The same employe came back out the door, I assumed he would tell someone that a customer was waiting. I waited a few more minutes..... after all they have and quot;Aand quot; ratings on Angie's List. Finally I called their phone number to see if they were even open. Someone answered, I told them I was waiting in the lobby to get a quote.Was told there was a bell on the counter to ring for service. Sure enough there it was - small bell on the counter with a small sign and quot;Ring for Serviceand quot;. Finally a gentleman came to the lobby, told him I wanted a quote on fixing door rust. Before he even looked at it he made up his mind there was nothing he could do. Not sure if this was in response of me daring to call from the lobby or not. The point is, this place is not customer focused, or oriented, from a first impression to get more business standpoint. They may do great bodywork, I don't know. I guess they may have too much business. It does not seem that they want to try hard to get the next customer.
