I randomly chose Mike's name from a list of certified lead inspectors/assessors from the state's website and could not have been more pleased. He was 15 minutes early, explained everything in detail, and made sure he tested anything that worried me because he knew that I was paranoid. I would definitely recommend using his company for anyone looking for a lead inspector. He put my mind at ease and was very nice.

Michael Barclay and his associate, of Michigan Lead Paint Inspectors, did an excellent job.  My husband and I have an 18 month old baby and it was important to us to have the historic house we intended to purchase thoroughly inspected by a licensed professional.  We didn't really know what to expect and I researched various professionals in the area, but from the moment I spoke with Mr. Barclay, I was impressed by his knowledge.  He went through the house thoroughly and shared his findings in a very timely manner.  He even rushed a more thorough full report so that we knew what was going on and could have the report in our negotiations with the sellers of the house.  He answered all of our follow-up questions and gave insightful recommendations along the way.  He and his team are very capable and professional, offer very reasonable pricing, and besides that, they are very nice people to work with as well.  Highly recommended!

Michael was extremely caring and professional. He did thorough inspection of my home-- I was worried since I have a young child. The results took a couple of weeks and Michael reviewed them with me, answering all my questions even dispelling a couple of myths as it relates to lead encapsulation.

    PROTECH ENVIRONMENTAL
They were extremely professional. I would say that they had the correct equipment. They were prompt. The returned the phone calls promptly and then they showed up as promised. They told basically the whole house and the exterior was safe except for a small entryway and the garage door. They probably saved us about $600 to $900 in labor. We got a full report that we can use.

    RSM Lead Inspection
RSM arrived 15 minutes before scheduled time. RSM explained the total process of the Lead Inspection/Risk Assessment. They walked us through the process and anwsered all our questions. They had 2 team members at our property to conduct the inspection. They used a piece of equipment called an XRF Analyzer that lets you know the lead content of every painted surface. It was a very detailed inspection. For example in each room they check every area - all walls, floors, every component of the windows and doors, in closets they checked everything even the shelfs and shelf support, baseboard , walls, ceiling and floor. They also checked every exterior area, the garage, the basement and the attic. They also did soil samples. Please call me if you need more info it was very detailed.
