    Thomlin Construction
After my research, to take them to court, I would have to sue the GC that was the only one offering to work on my home. Not wanting to ruin someone elses business, we opted to work with the GC to finish the job, leaving our only recourse a note on the web so someone else doesnt go through what we have with this company. After providing an large deposit we learned the Original Estimate was less than half the price of the final contract price. We negotiated an in-between price, and the day before our job was to start, our bank called and would not start our loan with Thomlin listed as the GC due to their credit history. After a long delay, Thomlin eventually found a General Contractor for us, who took on the contract and subbed the entire job back to Thomlin as he did not have the room in his schedule at the time. Thomlin then insisted they could start our job in the winter despite our reservations of pouring a basement in December. After our basement foundation was set, the job sat for over 5 months. In addition, the workers decided to move dirt multiple times from front to back of home and broke all concrete in the process. Result, quoted $20,000, charged $53,000 due to completing the job during the winter. We were never notified of the increase in price, and also got stuck with a window that they ordered which wasnt even the right size for the hole they created, broken concrete walkways that need to be fixed, and a basement that had constant water due to their poor workmanship (additional $8,000 to fix by someone else). Even though they should have had a portion of the deposit left after our basement debacle, the job stalled due to issues with who will pay for materials up front between our bank and Thomlin, the job finally started moving again when we decided to front Thomlin even more money. Obviously, a horrible decision, but I just wanted my home and life back. Not only were the architectural plans inaccurate and not feasible for code, Thomlin neglected to come by the job frequently and failed to tarp my home when the roof was off. To say it rained in my home is an understatement. The rain ruined my existing updated kitchen, only 2 years old, and additional resulting damage of water flow ruined an existing bathroom, existing carpet, flooring, drywall, warped cabinets, and destroyed furniture. Overall cost of damage at least $40,000 per my insurance agent. My insurance would not cover the damage as it was caused by contractor neglect and not natural causes. Thomlin informed me they would call and claim with their insurance, then would no longer return my phone calls or the GCs calls. We eventually cut our losses, accepted the cost, changed the locks and moved on with the GC as noted above. After all the emotional stress, financial stress of unplanned expenses, replacing almost every wall, and every floor, 1 year and 7 months later, we are finally moving back into our home. I cannot stress enough, do not use this company, it isnt worth whatever they promise.

    Cregger Plumbing, Heating & Cooling
I was called Monday morning after clicking on coupon. Was able to make appt. at that time. I got a call Wed. morning letting me know plumber was on the way. My dog liked David right away. (good sign) He turned off the water and got to work. He showed me the wrong part that had been installed and the part that should been used/come in the same package as the faucet. David has excellent communication skills and was very easy to talk to. He put the faucet back together using the correct part. Again he showed me the sink faucet and explained why he wasn't able to securely tighten it down. I could see that due to the thick counter top the treading wasn't long enough to allow the bolt to be screwed on completely. He made an adjustment so the bolt could be screwed on a few more times. I called the business that I purchased the hardware from and was told Delta had a kit for just that issue. The plumber who installed it originally never mentioned the problem. I'm so glad David told me about it.

    T M Tile & Stone
We are so thrilled with the way it turned out. The cuts are neat, lines are level, joint work is clean and overall just a fantastic job, using a fairly complex tile shape. It's clear the work was done by a professional. Todd performed the work himself as his work partner was not available to assist. It took 2 days to finish the work and Todd was very effective at maintaining communication (e.g. start times, when he would be back, etc.) His quote was competitive with others I received, and he was very clear about scheduling the work. He took time to listen to and answer all my questions. Will absolutely recommend to others looking for any tile work.

Dream Kitchen and Bath (Marblecast) (WALK IN TUBS)
I worked with Scott to design and remodel my kitchen. He was GREAT! He came out to my house (free of charge HUGE +) did a 3-D design and, then sat with me so I could make changes and tweaks. Everything happened exactly on the time frame that he said it would with no hiccups or hidden extra charges, they were on the penny to the T. I was very nervous about hiring this done by a company that none of my friends have ever used, but now I am the one recommending them to everyone that ask me about who I used. Thanks for the amazing kitchen!

    Greenleaf Home Services LLC
They were quick, professional, and tidy, and had the best recommendation for how to move things around in the kitchen. We had some other people take a look, but they missed the need to move the floor vent entirely - appreciated Greenleaf's attention to detail on this. I believe you get the quality and service you pay for, and we felt we got good value here. Would definitely work with them again.

    Michigan Home
They came and found multiple loose connections at the circuit box, and fixed then all. They also found that one bathroom light had a too-high wattage bulb. They were very thorough, and we literally have had zero circuit resets in the two months since. And they took care of a door problem, saving us a separate handyman visit we were planning!

    S & W Kitchens Inc
We mostly worked with Joe and Bill, they were great. Even though our job was not the biggest of jobs, they made sure we were completely satisfied and happy with the lay out of our project, before going ahead and ordering all the cabinets. Once we all agreed on the lay out, the cabinets and parts were all ordered with no issues. The bar went together wonderfully, and we are one happy customers. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, they were awesome!!

    First Class Tile LLC
Our goal was to lightly demo our 1949 bathroom and refresh it back to it's 1949 glory. We purchased period-authentic tile, and I started the demo myself, but quickly realized I did not have the skills to complete the job in the timeframe I had laid out for myself. I called a few contractors and tile guys and got a wide array of opinions on how to proceed, most of which were "there's nothing to be done but gut it to the studs from floor to ceiling and rebuild". and also a little "why the heck are you remodeling in an old style?". Edward from First Class Tile LLC gave me some advice on the phone on how to do it myself if I want. I thought his tips were awesome so I invited him to come out and quote the job. His detailed plan for the job including salvaging the original mortar walls that I had, and repairing the floor. I really admired his ability to listen and give super detailed responses to my questions and concerns. I'm an engineer so I can tend to be overbearing and obsess over every tiny detail. Edward rolled with it and always welcomed my questions. The job was done by two of Edward's employees with Ed stopping in to assist and provide guidance each day. The entire team was polite, courteous, and always cleaned up before leaving every day. They completed the job in just 3 days (2 of them very long) and everything was done exactly as originally described. Each day Edward and the team maintained excellent communication with my wife and I. The tile work is PHENOMENAL. There are parts of the layout that they did even better than the original 1949 job. There is absolutely no lippage in the tile, and the grout lines are dead straight and perfectly done. Every mitered corner was done with precision and care. I couldn't be happier. I keep going in there and just staring at it. :) I am super impressed and will definitely be giving them a call when it's time to do my kitchen.

    Trusted Improvement
It went well. Andy was pleasant, helpful, relaxed, funny, but always efficient. He listened to me, listened to what I wanted and accommodated my requests. There were delays, but the delays were explained to me ahead of time, and he asked me if I could handle the delay involved with that choice.
He gave me a detailed breakdown of the costs, and didn't mind when I declined some things and added others at the last minute.
I like his work, and I like him as a person.
YES, I would hire him again.

    Kopke Remodeling & Design Inc
Kopke contacted us immediately and sent someone out the next day to quote our job.  We wanted to replace a truly hideous kitchen floor without spending a fortune.  We remodeled our kitchen about 15 years ago and everything still looked good except the floor.  The dishwasher also needed to be replaced.  Mike came out and suggested using click lock vinyl flooring which could be installed over the existing floor. We went with him to the showroom to pick out the flooring and a new side door.  We agreed the job would be completed in mid-January (about 5 weeks after we met).  About a week later we received a letter thanking us for our business and confirming the job would be complete in January.  The floors and dishwasher were installed on January 12th and 13th, the storm door was installed on January 16th.  Everything was done quickly and professionally.  We couldn't be happier with the service and our beautiful new kitchen floor!
