    ADVANCED AUTO REPAIR
He is very good, he does quality work and he back up his work. He is honest and that is one of the things I like about him. My wife had said she was hearing some squealing and we thought it was the power steering. I took it over and ask him to check it out. He checked out all the fluid levels and said it might be the belts and he said he didn’t see a reason to repair anything and he didn’t see anything wrong.

Four trips to the Benton Harbor Store, which amounted to over two days of my time. They damaged my tire pressure sensors when they pulled off my old tires. On my fourth trip and several hours in the store, they asked me to pay for the sensors they damaged. No dashboard warning light was on prior to my trip in to purchase new tires. After, the pressure sensors did not work, which took significant follow up on my part to get them to fix what they broke. After all was said and done, they asked me to pay for the new sensors they had to put in my car, replacing the fully functioning sensors I drove into their shop with. Clearly, they didn't know what they were doing with the tire sensors. They wasted my time (multiple trips to fix) and asked me to pay for damage they created. Ethical business people do not operate this way. I am a calm person, but this type of service and treatment was beyond obnoxious.

I know enough about auto repair to know fact from fiction. The owner, Jim, is a straight shooter. You may not like what he says but it is very likely to be the truth. I have yet to have a bad experience. That being said, be prepared for business hours that are not exactly consumer friendly; a possible wait to get your vehicle in for service; and the realization that this garage is in an old part of central Benton Harbor, which worries some people for some reason even though there is nothing to be worried about.

    Midas Auto Service Experts
The break drum seal on a rear wheel of m y jeep blew yesterday afternoon. I called Midas and they were able to schedule me for first thing in the morning (7:30 a.m.). This was good because I would need to carefully drive the vehicle with partially failed breaks and I wanted to do it early in the morning when traffic was the lightest.
The work was done swiftly and expertly. I was shown all parts that would definitely need to be replaced as well as the parts that might need to be replaced. In the latter case, the rear brake lines looked like they would need to be replaced. However, after the technician started the job and cleaned them, he realized that they were still in very good condition and did not need to replace them. In addition, the technician discovered that both rear break drums were also in good condition after they were cleaned and this provided a large savings ($114 per rear wheel). This saved time and cost and showed their honesty to do just what truly needed to be done and nothing more.
Originally, the job could have cost over $800 but because Midas was honest when they realized that some of the parts were in better condition than they originally thought, the final price was $524 (after $100 in coupon savings which they volunteered). This was a major expense for us that came at a difficult time and I was impressed with Midas' effort to do quality work while keeping my cost as low as possible. How rare is that?!
Both the assistant manager and technicians were easy to talk to and provided clear concise explanations of all work both before and after.

The brake drum seal on a rear wheel of m y Jeep blew yesterday afternoon. I had used Midas in the past for exhaust system repair and thought I would try them for the brake repair. Normally, I would have gone to the Jeep dealer for service, but I can no longer afford the high prices at the dealer.

I called Midas and they were able to schedule me for the following morning (7:30 a.m.). This was good because I would need to carefully drive the vehicle with partially failed brakes and I wanted to do it early in the morning when traffic was the lightest. I was able to drive between 7:00 and 7:20 a.m. and avoid the morning traffic.

The work was done swiftly and expertly. My Jeep was ready in just 3 hours. This included about 2 hours of labor and 1 hour for inspection (before the work) and testing (after the work).
After the initiaI inspection and before any work was begun, I was shown all parts that would definitely need to be replaced as well as the parts that might need to be replaced. In the latter case, the rear brake lines looked bad. However, after the technician started the job and cleaned them, he realized that they were still in very good condition and did not need to replace them. In addition, the technician discovered that both rear brake drums were also in good condition after they were cleaned and this provided the largest savings of $228 ($114 per rear wheel).

Originally, the job could have cost well over $800 if the rear brake drums and lines had been bad. But because Midas was honest when they realized these parts were in better condition than they originally thought, the final price was only $524 (after $100 in coupon savings which they volunteered).
This was a major unexpected expense for my family that came at a difficult financial time and I was impressed with Midas' effort to do quality work while keeping my cost to a minumum. How rare is that?!

While at Midas, I dealt with the assistant manager and two technicians. All three were easy to talk to and provided clear concise explanations of all work both before and after.
I give the Midas on 2054 M-139 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, my highest recommendation.

I knew that the car should be in good shape, even though it has 146,000 miles on it.  All the replacement parts have been replaced in the last year.  So, I was curious to see what they might find wrong.  Nothing really wrong, just an rear end allignment which I am not to sure what that entailed.  I was almost positive I would be spending some money for something.  And, sure enough, but I spent it happily knowing that the car was in great running condition.  The car I own is a 2007 Chevy HHR.

    RAPID WRENCH
He did it very efficiently. I bought the part myself and he installed the part.  He did it quickly for a reasonable price.  I went back to him for some other things and I brought in my husband's car.  My husband's back break line was bad and he helped with that repair.  He worked on my old '96 Saturn and my husband's 1999 Pontiac Grand Am.  He is very reasonable and if you talk to him he keeps his price affordable.  I like that he talked directly to me and he answered my questions.  He looked at the car and would answer my questions.  He talked to me nicely, he was considerate and answered my questions in a good way.  I will use him again.

These people said that my shifter wasn't damaged in the accident and that it wouldn't be covered for them to fix. They were definately trying to help out the insurance company. I had to really fight to get this part of my car fixed. If it weren't for the officer checking out my car right after the accident I would not have gotten it fixed. Thankfully he vouched for me and I did get it fixed but I would NE VER take my vehicle to them ore reccomend them for any type of service!
