Everything was great.  We got a same day response to our request for a quote. The work was done in an afternoon in less than a week from when we authorized the work. It was done professionally and Corey followed up with a phone call.

n we called himIt went well. We have a very narrow lot, which caused issues with setback requirements. Because it was an entirely new building, we could not use the old footprint, which was too close to one of the property lines. Mark resolved all those issues, which included making the building a foot or so narrower than planned, by working closely with the Township authorities. The work went smoothly, with interruptions for the weather and some late arriving materials. We would have liked more frequent updates on the progress, but Mark was responsive when we called him or saw him at the site. The new carport is much, much better than the one it replaced. We are happy with the quality of the workmanship and the building.

They did this work again on two homes. There were no issues with scheduling.  It is a good idea to be clear about exactly what you want.  We ran into a communication issue on one of the houses where there was debris that they later cleaned more thoroughly once we brought to their attention.

We discovered that our kitchen ceiling was leaking at about 4:00 on a Friday afternoon. I suspected ice dams and called Advantage Roofing, fully expecting that it would be Monday before anyone could come out and help us. The person answering the phone was friendly and helpful. While they couldn't get anyone out Friday night, they did have a crew that was working on Saturday and offered to have that crew come out Saturday afternoon for regular rates. Rates were not cheap, ($150 trip charge plus $75/manhour for a two man team), but it was cheaper than having my ceiling collapse!
The crew arrived Saturday around 11:30 and got to work. They worked fairly quickly and knocked off the ice dams. After looking more closely at the house, I decided that I really needed to knock the ice dams off of the higher roof lines as well, but they didn't have their 30 foot ladder with them. They offered to come back on Monday with no trip charge, so I took them up on their offer. They came Monday morning and finished the job.
The crew was friendly and professional, and they got the work done quickly and well. I really appreciated the quick response to our need. I would definitely hire them again.

In summary we are disappointed in our experience with the Provider.
We chose to replace our roof earlier than expected based on comments from Provider's sales rep (Russ). We knew we were paying a premium but felt it was justified based on the marketing of quality work from day 1 of the project throughout many years to come (50+). We also felt the energy seal was an added bonus. We really didn't want "Bubba in a Truck" and were willing to pay a bit extra. In retrospect, we feel the premium we paid is inflated.
Nothing in our project went well. Here are some highlights:
    - Project Manager throughout: our first assigned Project Manager was here about 10 minutes on Day 1 and didn't introduce himself as Project Manager. We found out after the fact he was fired about a week or so after our project started; nobody from the Provider let us know. We were assigned a Project Manager and first met him 3 weeks after our project started. (This project manager, by the way, performed his duties as well as could be expected given he was new to the Provider.) Because of the delays the Provider did pay our first loan payment plus vented our bath fan through the roof. These token remediation efforts are appreciated but did not suffice relative to the frustrations we experienced.
    - Lack of communication: we had to initiate all communication with Provider. Our project was supposed to be about 1 week. Our roof was replaced the 1st three days. The remaining work was not complete until 3 weeks later. The two weeks between the end of the roof replacement and the start of the rest the only communication was initiated by us.
    - Quality of work: we didn't have noticeable leaks before our roof was replaced. After it was replaced we had leaks around our chimneys. The Provider did fix these and other errors their senior roofer found. He also took extra steps in resolving some of the issues. That is the reason for moving the quality from F to D. The senior roofer did a fabulous job (quality of work performed, communication with us, ensuring we were satisfied with his work). Another quality aspect was with respect to our energy seal. We received a utility company rebate request form from the Provider. There was inaccurate information on the form along with questions regarding work actually performed and what was not performed.
As stated above, we needed to initiate the vast of the communication. The communication prior to the utility rebate request form ended on 10/9/13 (with us saying we would not pay extra for attic insulation). We asked our questions regarding the utility rebate on 10/17. We received a call from the Provider on 10/22 revising the proposal for attic insulation; initially most of the charge was removed. They did state they would do the entire attic for free. However 1) our trust was already violated and it was difficult to earn back, 2) we already signed a legal document with another company (with A reviews in Angies List). Additionally, having to track down the issues took me away from my job for approximately a day.
The Provider did show up when they stated. Hence, average performance.
The senior roofer that repaired the errors, the person performing the energy seal and the project manager that joined late in the project were professional. Others did not have the answers to our questions, did not have complete information and, one person in particular, made some remarks that could be viewed as condescending while discussing the issues.
The only business we will do with Provider in the future is repair due based on warranty work should that be necessary. We do not trust their work or their prices. In a word, we feel stupid for choosing Provider for our project.

    Update - 2013.10.29
Our attic insulation project is now complete (by the different Provider referenced under Responsiveness above). The price for the other Provider was nearly half the "discounted" price for this Provider's original offer (10/09/2013) for the same work. We agreed to the other Provider's proposal on 10/18/2013 after no discussion with this Provider's offer for attic insulation. The subsequent offer from this Provider was made on 10/22 (after we had contacted them several days prior regarding questions on documentation for the Energy Solution System). It started at $300 to cover "overhead" but, after further discussion all fees were removed. Given our agreement with the separate Provider and overall service received from this Provider we declined the offer.

Called on 9-19-13 to do gutter cleaning. Said he would call by the middle of the following week to set up a time. Never called. Called him back on 9-30-13 and left a message. Did not call back. Called him back on 10-1-13 and he said he was sorry he did not call back but would call back later on that day to set up a time. Never called back. On 10-4-13 we called the other business that was listed on your site for gutter cleaning but they did not answer their phone. We then called someone listed in a local paper called "the Shopper" and he was out in about three hours and had it done. Price $120.00. Thought it was high for 1/2 hour of work but at least it got done.

They finished one day sooner than promised. Their personnel were all very friendly and helpful. We were very satisfied with the entire experience.

They were great. He couldn't have been better. He was fabulous. He came, did the work and left the bill. He was incredible. They are a small owned company. It was an older gentleman, seems like a great work ethic.
