    Vision Associates Of Westland
It was a great experience and the staff if professional and efficient. I am still adjusting to my new glasses prescription because it has been about 12 years since I last got new glasses. They are being helpful with the process of adjusting my glasses to a comfortable fit.

One time, I went and had an eye exam and glasses. But, last time, it was just the glasses. They're excellent. They're very professional. Their price is kind of high. But they have a few selections that are more reasonable too. One of the times, I used a Groupon coupon and it made it very reasonable. My ophthalmologist checks my glasses when I get my exams. She said, "Whoever does your lenses, they're really on target. Their specs are great."

    Kellogg Eye Center
Very well indeed.  The only criticism I have is that their pricing for new spectacles was not very competitive.  However, they recommended an optometrists where the service and pricing were excellent.

    Sortor, Dr. Jennifer M.
I am not a patient of Dr. Sortor and never met her.  My optometrist is another doctor in the practice, Aliisa Bodker.  Ask me about her if you wish.  (The date listed above doesn't apply: putting this in is the only way I could get this through.)

    Kellogg Eye Center

I also went to a private opthalmalogy practice in Ypsilanti, and while I felt they may have been just as competent, there would have been a delay of one week for treatment because they did not stock the drug needed that my insurance company would cover. Kellogg had the drug in stock (a resident explained that the University of Michigan Medical Center has their own pharmacy), so they could do the first treatment that day. I have been back for two additional treatments since then, and my vision in that eye has improved from 20/100 to 20/30.

I would be willing to bet that all staff at the University of Michigan are giving quite rigorous training in patient interactions (customer service, if you will), because every single last one of them, from the doctor to the check-out clerk, are very pleasant and solicitous.

He, unfortunately explained that the blurriness in my eye was very likely a permanent loss, explained why, and recommended followup with a retinal specialist. I thought his and quot;bedside mannerand quot; was exceptional.

    Grey Eyecare
Everything was perfect. I called Grey Eyecare on a Monday and they were able to see me the next day as my situation required quick follow-up care. The office staff was helpful and found a way to fit me in their busy schedule understanding how important it was that I see one of their doctors for follow up care. Upon arrival, I filled out the necessary forms, was seen in a timely manner and everyone I spoke with was professional and pleasant. When I checked out, the office staff was again, very polite and friendly. I was sent a bill after the office submitted the claim to my insurer and after I paid my copay, the office sent a full statement of my treatment. Everything was helpful, efficient, friendly and my eye is in great shape.

    TLC Eyecare & Laser Center
The techs were pleasant, professional, and seemed competent. Office personnel were responsive. My only complaint is that I do not think I was as fully informed as I should have been about surgical outcomes. In particular, I opted to pay the substantial out of pocket cost for a specialized toric lens to correct astigmatism. I don't think anyone ever told me that it would only partially correct the problem. I know now from my optometrist that it only corrected it by 50%. Since I paid over $800 for this special lens I think I should have been better informed.

    Sortor, Dr. Jennifer M.
I needed my first pair of multi-vision lenses. I was concerned that I would have trouble adjusting to the new glasses with progressive lenses, but it went very well. I think that is in part because they got my prescription right and helped me with making the adjustment.

Dr. Steven Lutz & Associates PC
Dr. Steven Lutz & Associates PC it's always pretty good on the medical side.  Not so good on the office side.  The office and billing always seem to get the billing seem to always get the insurance wrong.  My last contact was about two years now.  Now I can see like enabled, that all worked out pretty well.  It was just frustration with the office.  They always got the billing wrong, the insurance.
