Basement Waterproofing reviews in Ann Arbor

    Grosse Pointe Waterproofing LLC
Had around 15 cracks injected in my foundation and one rod hole. Only a handful had been leaking but I had all visible ones filled to prevent any possible future issue. It took Andrew 2 visits due to the size of the job- he showed up on time each day and worked non stop to complete the work. I waited to get through some rains to complete this review- since the work was done we have had several heavy rains and one intense storm that 100% would have caused the crack to leak- We have been 100% done dry. Andrew also provides a lifetime transferable warranty on all this work. I could not be happier with the work that was done.

    Mark Ellis Builders
Mark Ellis Builders tackled the problem of our dilapidated, hundred-year-old carriage house with creativity, pragmatism, and efficiency. The building was originally a barn, but had been a bare-bones rental for many years, and it was in pretty rough shape. My husband and I are typically DIYers (we had already installed new windows throughout), but the bathroom was beyond our skillset (the subfloor was rotted out beneath the 4 or 5 layers of linoleum). We were so pleased with the quality of the work and so convinced of the team's competency that we expanded the project to include insulating under the first-story floors, remodelling the kitchen, and installing an upstairs closet and laundry room. We had expected the finished product to be basic-rustic, but fully functional. Instead, five weeks after we were at dirt and daylight-through-the-walls (see pics), we have this lovely house that has the charm of its history but functions like a proper modern home. The challenges of the project (no plumb walls, no right angles, the overall age of the building, etc.) required several creative work-arounds. I really appreciated how Mark and his team brought a lot of ideas to the conversation, yet sought and heard our ideas well. It was a positive experience overall and we fully intend to hire Mark Ellis Builders again in the future.

    Dritek Solutions
Brandon was fantastic. He evaluated the situation and determined that I did not need his services. Rather, I needed tuck pointing, a contractor and a mold remediator. He connected me to service providers for that and even called them for me. He spent an hour at my house. He was honest and knowledgeable and I recommend him wholeheartedly.

ARK Foundation Repair & Waterproofing LLC
excellent !, trace and his son and crew were timely, efficient, courteous, professional and hard working !, essentially a blast from the past, ie., old school hard working men, with hardhats and a lunch pail !, at the same time the company is up to date with the latest technology and work was done efficiently and effectively with lifetime transferrable warranty !

B-Dry System of Central & West Michigan Inc
These folks installed our B-Dry system back in 2003. It's some of the best money we've spent on our house, as the basement has been dry ever since. After almost 14 years, the sump pump (rated life expectancy around 5 years) began to act up. They came out the same day, replaced the pump, and even included a stamped, self-addressed envelope with the bill, something I haven't seen in *years*. Highly recommended.

    The Crack Team
I would give this company 1000 stars if I could. First of all, if they can fix your problem, they will tell you so and they will get it right with a single visit. No need to come back to fix something later because it wasn't done done correctly the very first time. Second, their rates are fair and I feel I get my money's worth working with them. And last but not least, even when the water problem in your basement happens to be something they don't deal with (e.g. water coming from the concrete floor instead of a crack on the wall), they are more than willing to give you sound advice and refer to companies they trust who can maybe solve your problem. For example, The Crack Team has steered me in the right direction of contacting a reliable plumbing company to snake my house's storm drain system versus spending tons of money on a new drain system. Really, I know my review may sound too good to be true, but this is my sincere experience with this company. I highly recommend them for your own home, rentals and commercial properties. Dave, thank you so much for the work you have done for me.

    HomeSpec BasementFix
HomeSpec was spectacular. Within 24 hours of contacting HomeSpec via email, Brian Snyder inspected the problem and submitted a bid. It required minimal disruption to my home and was one-half of my expected cost. Eight days after the email, Chuck Watson and his team of four spent 11 hours installing drain tiles under one side of the basement floor, a new sump pump, a French drain and dry well. It was 28 degrees outdoors, the ground was frozen, and they ran into lots of roots. Then they cleaned up, and Chuck explained the new installations. John Lont came back after the weekend to move my basement laundry back in place and shovel dirt off the front walk. (They had tunneled under it.) He even found a washer hose that needed replacement. They were professional, kind, and treated me with respect.

They fixed the walls, cracks and leaks. They are hard-working, honest professionals who did a wonderful job on our basement. We would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to someone else with this type of basement problem.

    HomeSpec BasementFix
At 12:45pm on 6/4/16 (an hour and 15 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time), my husband was outside pulling weeds in our driveway when a car pulls up and asks him "Did you get a missed call?" No identification of who he was, just that question. My husband said no, his phone was in the house. The guy asked my husband's name, and then said he was there for the appointment. A FULL HOUR AND 15 MINUTES EARLY. What would have happened if we weren't home at that time, as we were expecting him over an hour later? Would he have left and not come back? This person's name was John. I find this extremely unprofessional, especially since he did not identify himself when he did arrive AND at no point did he actually apologize or even acknowledge how early he had arrived for a scheduled appointment. This is being entirely disrespectful of their customers. Since he was so early, I was not available to meet with him, so he spent 15 minutes speaking with my husband (read: not the person who would be making the decision to use this company's services or the one to pay them - so at least it was a waste of his time) and then left. Good riddance, we will be using another company for this job - I guess you really didn't want the work, John.

    HomeSpec BasementFix
I can't say enough great things about them.  We had a persistent problem with a basement leak and they honored their guarantee and REALLY took care of us.  They are responsive, friendly, professional, and clean.  But most importantly they cheerfully helped us, even when it was obviously a pain for them.  A model for true customer service!  Thank you so much, Homespec!!
