, We contracted MBS to replace our asphalt roof with a metal roof in the fall of 2010.  We were told that they had blocked out 41/2 days to do the roof.  It took approximately 5 weeks.  The workers worked hard but it was a much larger job than the office seemed to understand.  It wasn't smooth but it looked fairly good when finished.  Because of the result of the roof we then contracted them to put cement board siding and Royal Molding on the remainder of the house in March of 2011.  It was a disaster from the beginning!.  We were told that they would not take off any more siding in a day than they could cover up and that the materials would be there  when the weather broke which was about the middle of April.  At that time they took off the side of the garage and across the front of the house and covered this area with house wrap.  There was no other materials until the beginning of May.  The siding was prepainted from the factory. They were to paint all ends where they made any cuts.  We did not realize that they hadn't until it was done.  They also left large gaps between the pieces of siding and assured us that was the way it was always done.  It looked terrible up close. We called the factory who told us that wasn't correct and referred us to the online manual.  We brought this up with MBS who again told us they had always done it this way.  That doesn't make it correct.  The Royal Molding was applied with nails only in temperatures between 80 and 90.  When it got cold the the material shrunk leaving huge gaps.  We called the supplier who told us it should have been applied with glue and nails to avert the gaps.  We passed this on and they again told us they had done this before and never had problems.  Meanwhile they tried to paint the ends of the cut pieces of siding by climbing on the metal roof.  We now have scratches through the paint.  The roof has a 12-12 pitch which is difficult to work on.  They kept saying they would bring a lift but instead a young guy went up  with a ladder and apparently slipped and grabbing the roof cap with something and bent the cap.  When we asked to have these items attended to they did very little.  We finally walked away by giving them half of the final payment just to get out. The siding was a terrible experience.  They don't seem to know how to do things correctly just the way they have always done it.  They also assure you that things left out of the contract will be honored but then the conveniently forget ever talking about it.  Some of the materials used are the cheapest things that can be used.

Obtained a bid, receive authorization and funds from insurance and then no response. No return call, no return email. Very unprofessional. Had to get more bids and start all over.
