Preferred Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Grand Haven
Not good. I am writing this to help inform public about what appears to be subjective advertising and sales practices. On July 9th I used link on autotrader ad to contact this dealership to inquire about 2014 4runner listed as limited model. I talked with manager at dealership about this truck twice before I decided to drive the 75 mi with my trade, title, extra snow tires to consider doing deal. When I arrived, I discovered the 4runner was base model and not a limited. The manager said he thought it was listed incorrectly once I was on lot and told me he had a limited model but it was "out on a test drive" and cost more. The 4runner had been on their lit for 67 days per the manager but in all that time with it listed on autotrader and with window sticker that said limited, no thought, care, or concern was given to correcting ad or sticker. In addition, the bait you in with low price and switch you to other vehicle sales tactic was employed. Now using logic you gave to include one of the following: 1. Dealership accidentally posted a 4 runner as a limited model when it was a base SR5. This was the case for 67 days during which the manager and none of his people "noticed" the mistake. 2. No one at dealership cares about or knows their inventory. 3. Dealership knowingly left ad untouched and window sticker in place for 67 days to lure Customers to lot hoping either to deceive or upsell them. This is a brand name dealership so it makes things a little more concerning since they have big stores in several places. Update. Today is July 10th, and after I told the sales manager that he was using deceptive sales practices in violation of Michigan state law, the ad has been magically changed to reflect the actual model vehicle. Congratulations, it only took 68 days to be honest

It went good, they gave me a great price. They had to get the vehicle from a different dealership so I got the color I wanted. They were pretty good all the way around and were good about communicating.

    Verburg's Automotive Svc Inc
Verburgs disclaimed all responsibility to the damage to our vehicle while in their possession. We tried to work out a resolution, but Verburgs expected us to pay for the damage they caused. We requested they contact their liability insurance carrier, and as expected without examining the vehicle or asking us any questions they denied the claim with no explanation.

Very easy to make an appointment with.  They were very prompt in calling with the details of what was wrong with the vehicle, what needed to be done to fix it, and an accurate quote.  Once the go ahead was given to fix the vehicle the work was completed quickly. I have never felt that they were trying to push unnecessary services or parts on me.  They do a nice job of pointing out things that were nearing the end of their service life (ie brakes) and would probably need replacement soon.  However, they also told me that I could get a few more months out of them before needing to be replaced.  Overall, great service on my vehicles, good communication and great customer service.

    Delta Subaru
I have used Delta Imports recently. It didn't cost us anything because it was covered by the warranty. Because it was something that was not uncommon for the model year of our car, they had to wait for the manufacturer to let them know how it was to be repaired for all the cars I guess because quite a number of people have reported that it has a problem so they had to wait for the manufacturer for maybe 4 or 5 months before they called us to let us know that they could move forward to fixing it. Once they were kind of given the directive on how to do it, then they got us right in but we did have to wait for them to get instructions from the manufacturer. They actually followed up with us and called us to say that hey, we heard back from the manufacturer that we can get you in now and set up the appointment. Everything is working good when they were done. If there was one thing that they could have done differently then I guess if they had known that it was a problem with that particular year model car they could have let us know before we bought it to kind of keep it open and let us know that there was just something to look out for. It is a brand new car and it cost us a little bit of money. As long as our car is under warranty we will definitely bring it there.

They didn't tell us our wheel was not securely fastened when we went to pick up the car. We picked up our car and noticed that one of the bolts holding a wheel on was broken off after they rotated the tires. They never mentioned breaking the bolt and were content to let us take the car with one wheel not fastened securely to the car. When we showed them the wheel, their attitude was that it was no big deal. However, they wanted to charge us to repair the bolt they had broken. They said it happens all the time at their shop. Obviously, they use air guns to put the nuts on the wheels and don't have them adjusted properly. What's really disturbing is that they didn't tell us our wheel was not securely fastened when we came to pick up the car. This could have resulted in a serious or fatal crash.

Pat at Fox Honda is always a pleasure to work with. I've had a number of Honda cars and have had them all serviced here. The dealership has always been professional and competent with their work. Maintenance has always been performed correctly and on time.

    Christian Brothers Automotive
Our dealer quoted us at $1,150.  Seemed high.  Christian Brothers quoted $860.  But they warned me that it was sometime hard to extract the catalytic converter from the two parts it's threaded into, that the threads can strip, and then you need the extra parts (oxygen sensors maybe?) at $100 per.  Picked it up with a bill less than the quote because, as they said, the kit they had bought came with gaskets so they didn't need to charge me for them.  I gained the impression of major integrity in this outfit.  I guess they wear the title "Christian Brothers" with some awareness of what this implies for business practices.

    SEARS
This visit was flawless, but in the past had a problem with a damaged tire they had put on. They went out of their way to get us home that day, but we had to wait a long time for the proper tire to come into the store to do the final repair. Good shop, not the most organized place, but they did good work.

The work took 3 weeks longer than expected. Had to go back to have them finish underbody coating they missed. But the car was repaired to like new condition and the work was excellent, just took too long and was not quite completely done.
