    Robert Electrical Services
Marty was excellent to work with. He was knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions. He took his time and did a great job! We have already discussed future work. We would recommend him without reservation!

    Bill Powers Painting
I contacted Bill in the Spring and he gave me an estimate.  He was concerned about the switch from oil based stain to latex stain and worked with the Sherwin Williams representative to get advice on the best product to use.  He was very responsive and we communicated via email.  He told me upfront that he could do the job in august, and he was available at that time.  He was very professional and went above and beyond, pointing out areas (and replacing where he could) where wood was rotted and gutters had come loose.  He always cleaned up the area and the house looks great.  I will definitely use him again and have recommended him to several of my neighbors.

    Marshall Home Pros
Excellent service, very prompt and neat for a large construction job. Did exactly what they stated on the quotation, any and all issues they brought up immediately and we were presented with several options to remedy.  Always kept us abreast of the status of the job as it was proceeding. Devin (the owner) is extremely professional and his goal is to do high quality work and insure his customers are 100% satisfied, which I am one. I have used them for several projects and will do so again without hesitation.

    Seacoast Roofing & Construction
Seacoast was very helpful and easy to work with. The reroofing job was expertly done by two roofers who took care to do the job without cutting corners and a full cleanup each day. We were happy with the result and would contract with Seacoast in the future.

    Charlie's Drywall & Painting
My entire experience with Charlie went flawlessly from start to finish. I contacted Charlie by phone shortly after my bedroom ceiling was damaged by a contractor working in my attic. The drywall was cracked and hanging lower where the contractor had stepped. It also seemed like a good time to have the mildew on the bathroom ceiling taken care of.  Even though he was on vacation, Charlie returned my call that same day and we arranged for him to provide an estimate when he returned.
Charlie arrived promptly for the estimate. He explained to me how the repair in the bedroom required replacing the damaged drywall, redoing the popcorn texture in that area, and then repainting the bedroom ceiling. For the bathroom ceiling repair, he described how he would scrape off the mildewed texture, respray the texture in the affected area, and repaint the bathroom ceiling.
I was concerned about how well these repairs would blend in with the rest of the ceiling in those 2 rooms because of a bad experience I had 5 years earlier with a water-damaged kitchen ceiling.  In that case, the painting contractor I used did not remove any of the damaged drywall. He patched over the damage with a texture that didn't match the rest of the kitchen texture. After 5 years, the patched area had developed cracks and was starting to bow.  I showed the kitchen repair to Charlie, and he agreed it was very poorly done.  He said he could make it right by replacing the drywall in that area, respraying the texture there, and then painting over it to have it blend in with the rest of the kitchen.  He described that the work would be done over 2 days; one day to do the drywall repairs and spray the texture, and the second day to paint the ceilings.
It was very easy to communicate with Charlie via email. Because this was a smaller job, he was able to squeeze it in within a couple weeks. He and his assistant showed up right on time, and immediately covered the floors with drop cloths before they got to work. They hung plastic sheets around the areas they were working in to contain the dust and spray from the texture. At the end of the first day, Charlie updated me on their progress and they left things in a clean state. They arrived on schedule the second day to complete the painting part of the job. They did a great job cleaning up when they were done, even hosing down my brick walkway to remove any dusty footprints and moving a heavy piece of furniture back into place without my asking.
The quality of the repairs was excellent. In each case, the repair and new texture blended seamlessly into the rest of the ceiling. I was very impressed with how well the repairs turned out, and I plan to call Charlie again for future drywall work. I highly recommend Charlie to anyone needing drywall, texture, and painting work done.

    Credible Construction
What was so refreshing about this experience was the upfront honesty and willingness to help me with my problem even if he was unable to do so directly. More companies would do well to follow Credible Construction's lead.

    Exciting Windows! by Verticals etc
The whole project went very well. After ordering the blinds it took 3 weeks for them to arrive from Canada. The installation took about 2 hours and we are very happy with the blinds. I would definately recommend this company.

    Seacoast Roofing & Construction
From start to finish Seacoast Roofing and Construction did a great job. They had all the materials and a trash container for the stripped shingles delivered on site. Each day they cleaned up the job site and did not leave anything exposed to the weather. At the end of the job the trash container was removed promptly and left over materials picked up quickly.

I had gotten three estimates and they were in line with all the local contractors. Of the three proposals, theirs was the most detailed and they completed the job to the specifications presented. I would recommend Seacoast Roofing and Construction.

    Fogg Bros Drywall
I contacted Frank Fogg on a recommendation from two people.  He returned my call right away and offered to come look at the job the next day.  He accommodated my schedule and was very professional in this regard.  He was very friendly and professional while here.  At that time of that visit, the work was ready to be performed (from my end), and I told him I had a tight deadline of two weeks.  He repeatedly said that would be no problem.  He suggested additional work that could/should be done and said he'd give his general contractor/friend my number.  I thought, "Ok, fine, if that's how we have to do this."  I left that meeting thinking the job would easily be done within the two week period; I cancelled meetings with three other individuals who said they would work with me.  (I had chosen Frank originally because he was much more local.)
Put simply, when Frank left my house, I never spoke with him again.  Eventually I tracked down the "GC" he recommended (Ryan Fernald) via Google and called; those calls were never returned.  I called Frank every 3-5 days (not overly pushy, especially given my tight time frame); he called back once on a Wednesday and left me a message saying, "I don't see any reason the work can't be done this week."  The following Monday, after 11 days of stringing me along with absolutely no progress made on the room (not even any plans for progress) I left a voicemail saying I was still hoping to hear from him; I was disappointed we didn't connect the past week; I hadn't heard from his GC; but if I didn't hear from him by the end of the day, I would have to call someone else.
Never heard from Frank Fogg again.  Very unprofessional in my mind; what upsets me is - yes, I know it was a very small job ($200-$300), but when someone has a tight deadline, and makes that very clear from the beginning, do not keep saying you can get the job done and then just go incommunicado.  A simple return of one on my phone calls to say, "You know what, lady?  Just stop calling me; call someone else" would have been much preferred.  Although he was nice, I would absolutely not recommend Fogg Bros Drywall.

    Forsythe Carpentry
The job went very smoothly overall.   There are always minor problems that have to be worked around during the job.   We discussed how we thought the job should be done.   I felt he had a good technical construction knowledge and I liked his ideas on how to fix the problem.  I stayed out of his way but was available if he had a question.    I had agreed to get rid of the debris when he first looked at the job, and that was one thing that helped keep the price very reasonable.  We had to look through all the board and batten siding I had to find the best pieces.  Some was no good but I still have some left for future small repairs.  Being retired was good because I could separate the stack of siding, get debris out of his way, and I could see exactly how it was going back together again for future reference.  I even took a few photos.  He finished in one day.
