We delivered 39 CY of Screened Loam to a jobsite in 2015 and were never paid for it. Calls and visits to their location have gone unanswered for years. They were a regular customer until they decided to stiff us on this order.

We've had them for maybe 8 years.  We find them very good.  If we have any problems, they are right there. They email my husband and say when they're coming.  They come when they say they're going to come.  They always let us know a couple of days ahead of time.  Sometimes I question that they come and fertilize and they know there's a dry spot and they don't say anything about that.  They seem to do a professional job, from my observation.  I liked it that they were a local company.  I know one of our neighbors has taken them on after seeing what they did over here.

He was great to work with -- he came when he said he would, he answered questions promptly and courteously, and his team was superb -- very professional! They were willing to be flexible when we asked about installing a patio which was not in the original plan. Before we hired him, the owner, Rick Tillotson, came to our house to discuss what we wanted done in our yard.  We knew we wanted to replace the front walkway and to redesign the landscape in the front yard, but did not know how to proceed.  Rick had a vision for our front yard which we could never have imagined on our own. He was enthusiastic, had lots of good ideas, and ultimately cost about half of what another landscape designer quoted us. The work was done, as promised and on time -- even though we added on to the project as I mentioned.
I would recommend Rick and Organics Lawn and Landscape without hesitation and in fact I already have.  Rick's work speaks for itself.  My yard was so wonderfully transformed that I literally had people stop to ask me who did the work.  One of my neighbors was so impressed with how great my yard looked after Rick's work was done that she hired him to do a complicated landscape design and installation. She is as thrilled with the results as I am with mine!

The tree was only about 30 feet high, but it was leaning precariously toward the house. I didn't feel confident that I could remove it safely, so I called Ken.  He rigged some ropes to prevent it falling the wrong way, and then he took it out easily.  He also removed the wood and cleaned up perfectly. All for a great price.

Just as important as the work he performed, Ken also gave me some great advice about a few other trees in our yard. I may have some additional cutting in the future, and Ken is the first person I'll call.

Responsive and professional in every way.  Highly recommended!

I bought a coupon, knowing that we needed some dead hanging tree limbs cut down.  A salesman came out, was courteous and punctual, and he looked at the limbs, and said that the whole tree needed to come down, and it was big, with several trunks all together.  He said it was dying.
The estimate for that was over $3000, if I remember right.  There seemed to be all sorts of issues with heavy trucks accessing the tree, and it was near a stream - more of a run off from the street that was wet after a rain, and in the spring.  But it seemed that there were so many very difficult issues with this one tree.  And, essentially, they couldn't come and remove the one limb.
The cost was just too much, and actually, the next spring, the tree grew and was alive, and while it's old, it does not seem to be dying at all.  There is just a limb that has broken and it is hanging, still.
Since I still had this unused coupon, I called again and asked if there were any trimming service that we could use the money from the coupon, something that would cost $400, and they said they didn't do any jobs that small.
The coupon expired and I paid them $233 for absolutely nothing.  I guess it was my risk in assuming incorrectly that we would be able to use the coupon for something, but I was left feeling very disappointed that they did not want to work with us.
I will not do that again.

Since I did not start a weed n feed program in the Spring, I was not sure what one application would do for me. My lawn looked like it was all weeds, but Nathan assured me that it would green up well and rid the lawn of many of the weeds. It really looks so much better after only a couple weeks and some bare spots filled in with grass as well. I didn't even water! Nathan was really pleasant to talk with and even took out some old metal garden edging when he came out to talk to me before the work on the lawn. Now I know I'll be calling him to help me out on my new property in Scarborough. Thank you Nathan!

Responded quickly to give the estimate.  Explained how he was going to do the job and did it. Two stumps were extremely
large. Ground them so that the lawn now is level. Did an excellent job. Extremely pleased.

Ira came out and gave me an estimate for the work and several options. I could not be home when he did the estimates but he clearly understood what I wanted from my over the phone description. Ira kept in touch with me in advance of the job as the winter weather had been iffy with storms and such. When the day of the job arrived the crew was on time. We finalized the specifics of the work based on his estimate and they go right to it. I had to leave for work about an hour into the job. When I arrived home, I was very pleased with what had been done. They had cleaned up nicely and left me a few piles of small logs cut to fit in my fireplace. Overall I was very pleased, thought that the work was good, and that the price was fair. I will call Colonial Tree again if I need tree work done.

We needed.over two dozen trees removed from around our house. We did get several estimates, Ken Fowler gave us a good price--even the way he submitted his proposal was clear and professional. Ken knew that the ground needed to be frozen solid in order to minimize damage to our lawn. He didn't rush the job just to get the money. He waited until the conditions were right.
He and his crew arrived when they said they would. They removed the trees carefully--several of them proposed challenges. The Fowler crew did a wonderful job cleaning up as they went. They were efficient and professional. They arranged to have the logs removed and then Ken returned to clean up debris that had been under the logs.
We have had other tree removal guys, but Ken and his crew was tops. I enthusiastically recommend Fowler Tree Care. There are actual two Fowler tree guys in our area--be sure the one you talk to is Ken.
