Landscaping reviews in Windham

I called Corey after reading his reviews. He came over the same day and was able to provide me with an estimate within 1 day unlike several other companies who took up to a week just to provide an estimate. He met with us several times to review what we wanted done. His communication was excellent. If he said he would be in touch, he was. We hired him and the total job was done within 1 week. He did a beautiful job. He came out better than my expectations. We also added a sitting wall which looks fabulous.

We’ve been really happy with them. We’ve used them for 15 years. We are just very pleased. They care about what they do. Anytime we’ve ever had an issue and we’ve asked them about it, they will come out and fix anything we have an issue with.

They cleaned up the yard. He has a big yard vacuum that he came in and sucked up all of the leaves with. His price was very reasonable for that. He also cuts our lawn. They are prompt. The yard looks good after they do it. Great job.

Great! They came and gave us an estimate they were priced more than fair! I went to go see my rental property this week and it looks great! better than I have ever been able to do it myself! Super impressed!

The price was surely underestimated so I am grateful and will use them again every year. They did a great job!
I never knew such equipment even existed and was amazed but felt a litttle guilty for the extra work I created for them.

I called Black Bear for a quote for a whole list of major landscape projects at our camp. After talking on the phone and setting up a time to meet on a Saturday (which he said he doesn't often do), we were to meet at the property at 10:30 AM on August 15th...this was more than a week away from the initial contact I had with him. I didn't receive a confirmation call the days before Saturday, and I also didn't receive a call that he was on his way on Saturday...something that contractors often, but not always, do. He didn't show at 10:30. I had made a point to be at our summer property that weekend just to meet with him (our permanent residence is in RI). I waited for over an hour after 10:30, and he still didn't show up. I then called him. He answered the phone somewhat groggily, and I explained that we had an appointment and asked if he was still interested in the job. He said he would call me back in half an hour....he never called back. At that point, I was no longer interested in dealign with him, as he didn't seem capable of communicating or sticking with his schedule. Annoying to say the least!

Oddscapes was great. They were back in touch with me within hours of when I contacted them and they actually squeezed me in within days to clean the whole yard. The yard is very large and I was impressed with the quality of the work and how quickly they were able to get the work done.

I would definitely use them again!

    Thank you!

When the units were returned, they both seemed to work fine when started in the driveway.  The generator was put away 12/23/14, and due to snow storms, not used until a power outage on 2/24/15.  At that time the generator would not start - it was 7 AM  -18 degrees and the power was out, so the furnace was not working and the temperature in the house was dropping rapidly.  I called Jim who told me it would be a week before he could look at it and that it was not warranted.  I explained it had not even been used once and he agreed to take a look.  He took it away a week later and returned in about 2 hours saying it was all set.  He said it was flooded. It had been sitting for a week.  The professionalism was sorely lacking in interactions with Jim's Small Engine repair, it's a part time endeavour and there is no identity given on the phone numbers listed so it's difficult to know if you have the right place.
The snow blower repair was reported as a stuck float - the carburetor was rebult, oil changed and spark plug changed. When delivered, it appeared to run well.  At the first snow storm I attempted to use it, and initially it started and ran fine, but deteriorated over the course of clearing the driveway.  It got to the point that it took 10-15 minutes of trying to start it and it barely ran and had no power.  Since I was unable to get out of my driveway because of 6" of snow, I used it.  I called Jim to report the issue and he said he would pick it up and take a look in a few days.  Meanwhile we had more storms and I wound up purchasing a new snow blower.  Jim took it back, repaired it and it seemed to work well the second time.
I have no faith that the items will work when used again and cannot recommend this service to anyone.  The lake of professionalism and part time nature of the business make it impossible to use for any equipment you count on.

My yard was seriously overgrown with many dropped twigs and branches from the old oaks as well as last fall's leaves.  My irregular lawnguy-of-the-past had not shown to do any work this year and it was now almost August.  The yard had gotten so bad that at the suggestion of a coworker, I'd searched for bushhog services on Angie's list.  Bushhog falls under Landscaping services, and Oddscapes was listed as servicing my area.
I called on a Sunday morning and received a call back same day with an offer to come review the work to be done later in the afternoon.  I've had some awesome services provided from Angie's list, but this set a new standard in responsiveness.
The owner, Ernie, and his daughter came to my home at a time that fit my schedule, reviewed my area, were not overwhelmed, and came the following day to do the work.   They did everything I'd asked and more.  They were neat, efficient, hardworking, and thorough.  First combing the front, side, and back 'yard' for branches and blow-downs that could trip me or harm a lawnmower, then then removed them to my abutting 'wild growth' area. This was followed by weedwhacking my terrace and areas that a mower wouldn't go, leaf blowing the results and all of last year's packed down leaves, and then mowing and re-mowing in angles until my field became a recognizable front, side and back yard.  And they were great with my dog! They came back two days later to spread weed&feed.
I couldn't be more pleased and have arranged for regular care and maintenance with them.  I intend to call on Oddscapes for actual landscaping help with plantings, shrub trimming and the like.  As an older person with some disabilities, it is a relief to know I can rely on them to take over work I can no longer do myself.   I highly recommend this family owned company.

Mr. Egbert came out and reviewed our lawn and provided us a very competitive quote. We signed our quote and he was here the following week to begin the process. He placed weed control specific to the clovers and will follow up on the next visit with weed control for crab grass. He also provided fertilizer and will continue the process throughout the summer. It is a 5 days later and the majority of the clovers are dying off. We are thrilled with their service.
