    Terrible customer service. I needed a new tailgate. When I first went in they indicated maybe it would take 3 days. I was replacing the tailgate completely. So I took it in on a Monday. Then they told me probably be Friday. Friday comes around. No word so I call them. Oh, a part didn't come in, probably be Tuesday. Okay. Fortunately, we have several vehicles so I didn't need to rent a car in order to have transportation. Now, it's Tuesday. Not a peep out of them. I called the Windham shop where I had dropped it off. Well, they couldn't find the part, which turned out to be the tailgate, locally, so had to order from California. It wasn't even there yet. Now they've had my truck a full week and didn't even have the part there when I dropped it off. They never told me that. I said FORGET IT. I'm picking it up. Ok, they said they'd leave it out front. We went to Windham and it wasn't there. They had moved it to the Gorham shop. I have no idea if they drove it over or not, but they certainly never told me that they would be doing the work in Gorham, nor did I give them permission to drive it. So, we had to drive all the way to Gorham to get the truck. When they said they'd put it out front, they never told me that would be in Gorham. To say that I'm furious is an understatement. Gaslighting and deceptive practices are not good PR. I could have understood if they had told me they had to order it and required a deposit in case I changed my mind and went elsewhere, but I wasn't even given that option. Worse, now I have to start over and go through this all again, all of which is made more complicated by the pandemic.

    After someone backed into my fender, I made an appointment with Lockard's and they were great. They even noticed that the front bumper cover had some damage on the other side (unrelated to the accident) and called asking if I wanted to do that work at the same time (since they had to remove the front bumper to replace the fender anyway). I paid separately for that, and appreciate that they let me know it would save me quite a bit of labor to do both jobs at the same time. I highly recommend Lockard's!

    The work itself was excellent and the car looks like new. Very conscientious. The only small complaint is that we were originally told it would be a 2 week job, and then when we did not hear from them after 2 weeks, called and were told it would be 1 more week, and then they called after 5 days to ask for 1 more week. At that point the contact person was very apologetic and the last week was marked by excellent communication from them. Things happen. The work was good so I would use them again.

    what we had done that particular day, but also that we have been there many times in the past and have already felt his prices to be very reasonable. I just want to take the specific price out because it occurred to me that perhaps it would be unfair to SR to say we got all this for a specific price which might raise expectations with future customers under different circumstances.

    They provided an estimate that the insurance company accepted and gave a date by which the car would be repaired.  They also worked with Safelight to replace the windshield.  They kept us updated on the work and had it done earlier than the estimated deadline.  Car looks good; paint matches and we are back up an running.

    I don't often take the time to leave reviews, but I was so pleased with both the customer service and the quality of work performed by this business that I wanted to make sure they received credit and acknowledgement for a job well done.  Shaun took all of our info in a friendly and efficient manner.  He arranged for the repairs to be done while we were away on vacation so that we could avoid the need for a rental car.  Everything was up front, transparent, and seamlessly carried out from the moment I walked in the door to the moment I picked my car up upon return from my vacation.  Shaun worked through all the details with my insurance company, and all I had to do was to pay my deductible when I arrived to pick my car up.  My car looked perfect after their repairs!  Not only that, but my car was washed and the interior meticulously cleaned (and with two active kids, this was NOT an easy task)!  I actually felt guilty that they cleaned it since the interior was in such desperate need of cleaning....  The whole process was far easier than I could ever have imagined, and my involvement in the whole thing was very minimal.  I would highly recommend Shaun and his team at Harbour Auto Body for anyone in the Greater Portland area looking for high quality body work!
