    Marsh River Electrical LLC
Hank is fantastic because if he does not believe something makes financial sense, he will tell you rather than get you involved in a project that costs more than its worth in the end. His pricing is consistent with his estimates and he's a professional who I recommend to people often when asked for an electrician.

Hank was a life-saver! We needed an estimate to do the job while negotiating the price of the house. Hank understood the urgency, was right there, and produced a very accurate estimate for a job of uncertain parameters. We closed on the house, and continued to live 1.5 hours away while Hank did the work on the house - he had to make many decisions himself, and all were the right ones. He did the job with as little damage to walls/ceilings as humanly possible due to forethought and expertise. We moved in, and the most frequent comment as we got settled was "How 'bout Hank? That is exactly where the outlet should be!" or "we didn't think of that, but Hank did!" A true professional, knowledgeable and thoughtful, respectful of old houses - we highly recommend Marsh River Electrical!

Danny is a treasure. I called him, desperate because of no running water, got him as he was leaving a job 30 minutes away, and he arrived on my doorstep right on time. He immediately saw what the problem was with the wiring, and fixed it. He also expertly installed the chandelier and was on his way in under two hours. I felt his charge was more than fair.

After reading the fantastic reviews here for Marsh River Electrical, I called them for an estimate for a new electrical panel in my basement, in October 2015. (as theyre local to my area), Hank showed up to give me an estimate, but he was also working out of state at the time and could work on it after his out of state job was done. I thought it was very kind of him to take some of his rare off time so he could give me an estimate. I ran into other house problems before he finished his out of state work, so I couldnt have the panel work done in November 2015. So I called him again in March 2016 and he had some time to work on the electrical panel. I felt that he was honest when he gave me the estimate..the most honest of any contractor that I had gotten an estimate from in the past. He and Ray (his assistant), showed up and started on the panel on March 8th. The old panel and all the old wires were just a terrible mess! But they sure knew what they were doing! I had also asked Hank if I could move my clothes drier into another room and would he set up a new electrical wire for that. And I had a couple of wall switches that probably needed attention. He agreed to check all those issues, and he worked on those items the next day (March 9th). Wow, its so nice to be able to turn on the living room ceiling fan/light again now! It was always burning out light bulbs. And he fixed the outside light on the same switch at the same time, as he noticed that it needed to be fixed too. I wouldnt have noticed it, so now I feel much better that it was fixed. The panel that they installed was at least twice the size of my old panel, so things would be better, with space for future wires. CMP and the local codes officer showed up later in the day to see how they were doing. The codes officer requested that another ground wire be set up, as the codes had changed to two ground wires instead of just the one that I had. Hank agreed to do that immediately and he did.. They worked all day, and I think that they worked a little 'over-time' getting the new wires hooked up so Id have electricity again before they left. Finally, the panel had been turned on! Most everything worked immediately, but the old wires sure had been a terribly mess! The new wires were perfect and the panel was amazing after all the work they did. Those few items which got a second look got fixed immediately. It was amazing that they could fix them so quickly. And without any anger or cussing from anyone. I appreciated that no one lost their cool, even when I asked stupid questions! After the wire for the clothes drier had been put in the second day, Hank asked me if Id like him to set it all up. I was amazed that hed ask me if Id like him to do that. It consisted of making an open circle through the outside wall and installing a metal vent onto the drier, instead of using the old bending type of vent that was hard to clean out. I agreed immediately! Hank even went to the hardware store for the metal vent and gave me the receipt when he got back. Another show of honesty on his part. (If I had gone to the hardware store, I would have bought the wrong vent! So Hank had offered to get the vent for the drier and I'd add it to the bill.) Hank and Ray both worked on it, till it was all set to test the drier. Success, the drier works better! And I have more space now near the washing machine. Hank was able to do more than I expected in a day and a half. They both did it very well. Im very pleased with what they did and will call him any time that I have another electrical problem. Marsh River is on the top on my list. I had researched his name in the computer before I had called him and I had read several reports of his past work. Very experienced and knowledgeable and more helpful, calm and professional than some other contractors . I would recommend that anyone check the background of a contractor before you sign the contract. Especially for people who are looking for honest contractors, good fair estimates, along with great work. I was (and still am now) very happy with the work done, the cost and the honesty.

Looked at electrical work in shop and house. Took notes and made good suggestions. I was pleased with his professional manner. I decided to get other bids but have not done so yet. I will do some of the work myself and perhaps have him finish and inspect.

We had work done at two of our homes.
At the house, with plenty of access to run lines via the basement and attic, there was a lot of work to be done, and all was accomplished. Here we added three ceiling fan fixtures (which included running the lines and installing the wall switches) and adding wall outlets. All of the requested work was accomplished and no repair was necessary on our part. We are pleased with the results.
The condo work was more challenging, as there was no passage ways in the walls, so everything had to be tied into existing electrical lines. A ceiling fan, a chandelier, wall switches, and outlets were all added here. The two gentlemen who did the work managed to accomplish most of what we wanted done, with no repair required on our part. We were pleased with their work here.
There is one situation I am less than pleased with the result. They did consult me, but the electricians should not have had to do so, as I later found out there was a very easy solution. Where there were already two switches, instead of combining them into a stacked switch (an option they didn't offer) they cut an additional hole for the new switch.
But we were very happy with the rest of their work, and the electricians were courteous, efficient and knowledgeable, and John was very responsive!

    Day's Electrical Service
I called the guy, set up an appointment early in the morning, and as soon as I got in at 9 AM when it was snowing, he showed up right on time and I got a call when I got to work. My tenant called me and said the outlet had got fixed. The guy was in and the whole job was done with in a half hour. I have no complaints at all. This guy was good.
