    SKILLIN'S GREENHOUSES
They are excellent, knowledgeable, friendly, have quality products and behind it, it's a family-owned business.

    ESTABROOK FARMS & GREENHOUSE
I have used them for 20 years.  The selection is great; it's one of the largest.  Estabrook is great for shrubs and trees.  Actually, they are a good all-around nursery.  I think their pricing is a little high.

    Q-Team Tree Service
I've used Q-Team in the past and I was thoroughly pleased with their work both times. All of the people I dealt with, from the office staff to the team of men taking down the dead trees, were professional and courteous. I would definitely hire this company again.

    SKILLIN'S GREENHOUSES
I would give them the same rating as Estabrook. They have a really great staff who are knowledgable and friendly. They are also on the Portland Dine Around so you get 10% off. They also have Skillins Bucks so you get another 10% off, so you get 20% off. If you buy from them you get $1.00 off every for every $10.00. If you go in with your Portland Dine Around, you get 20% off automatically. Their price is a little bit higher.

    Broadway Gardens Greenhouses
I went in looking for blueberry plant and they answered my questions regarding top cross crop pollination.  They were very helpful.  They were knowledgeable and willing to walk right down with me to show me differences in the growing seasons and the least formation between low plants versus high bush with the blueberries.  They were just very knowledgeable in general.  There were no negatives.  I liked them.  They normally have a register inside the nursery but they added a second register outside because that was a busy day.  It was very helpful because sometimes it's difficult to navigate as they have flatbeds so it was much easier to stay outside with the chariots and the carts.

    O'DONAL'S NURSERY LLC
Everything went very well.  I was looking for daylilies by Nick Barth.  The pots were organized perfectly.  The plants were very healthy.   It was quite easy to find what I was looking for.  While I was there two employees asked if I needed any help.  They even helped me carry the pots I wanted to the register then out to my car.  I plan to go back and buy more daylilies.

    LOG CABIN PERENNIALS
He is honest, direct, and responsive.  He arrived on time and the yard looks great.  A lot of people in the area use him, he just does a great job.

    Meservey Farm Stand
Meservey Farm Stand is a little greenhouse and they have greenhouse-grown perennials and herbs and annuals. It's a really great, inexpensive local place to get plants. I like that the farm is very close to where I am, that they start all their seeds by themselves, that the pots are $2.

    MAINE-LY SMALL ENGINES
One lawn mower would have been too costly to repair. Decided not to have it repaired. Remaining mower and snowblower were delivered, and left check for driver. When I went to use the mower, I discovered that the bag was not with the mower. Called the company and was told that they never take the bags off, so I must be mistaken that the bag had been on the mower when it was picked up.They picked the mower back up, and called me to confirm that the driver was sure there was no bag on the mower. They did provide a replacement bag, but I didn't appreciate essentially being called a liar. Even when the driver dropped off the mower, he was rude, and suggested that maybe my neighbors had stolen the bag off the mower before he picked it up. Seriously need some customer service training.

The two spruce trees that I purchased were purchased under the impression that they were dwarf trees. They were planted close to the foundation by the company. Now, the trees, which are obviously not dwarf trees are causing major problems. They are taller than the house, they are interfering with the power lines and the water lines, and they are interfering with the foundation. I need to have them moved to another location, not to mention the other damage they may have caused. My landscaper said that he has never seen anything like this and that he cannot believe that they put the trees so close to the foundation of my home. I have tried to work this out with the company to try and recoup some of my loss. They have not been willing to work with me. I am not even trying to get them to pay for the entire excavation. All I am asking is for them to refund the cost of the two trees so that I can pay for at least a portion of the excavation, especially considering the trees may not even survive the move.
