    I & S Insulation Inc
I received estimates from 3 different insulation companies, but decided to use I & S because 3 separate sources said that they were very nice people.  I am having a large renovation done to my home and the interior is gutted.  My contractor coordinated the timing of his work to be ready for our scheduled insulation date.  Mike did a very good job coordinating with us to have 2 crews ready for that day to complete the job.
The 2 crews and 2 trucks arrived on the scheduled day, but they got a late start and did not even finish the walls that day.  Mike was very attentive and arranged for 2 more men to come back, 2 days later, on a Sunday.  I met with them in the morning and they assured me that they would be able to complete the job that day.  The plumber was supposed to arrive on Monday and begin running the pipes through the floor for the new kitchen layout and new bathroom location, in addition to the new heating layout.
I came home a few hours later to find the crew gone and very little work done.  Mike was very attentive and arranged for a crew to come back on Tuesday.  He said they had had trouble with the truck.  This threw off the plumber, as well as the contractor who now could do no work on Monday, or Tuesday (no one is allowed in the building when spray foam is being applied).
The crew came on Tuesday and "finished".  I understand that the foam is not expected to be perfectly flat, but there was a significant deficit of thickness.  There was supposed to be 6 inches in the rafters, and in some places we could still see the plywood.  I called Mike and he sent a man over with  cans of spray foam.
All of the men were very polite and pleasant.  When Mike heard back from the spray can worker, he called me and said that it seems they were a little light and he offered to go into the attic space and give me an inch and a half on top of the vaulted flat ceiling.
I purchased some wooden shish kabob skewers at Target and marked them at 6 inches.  I then climbed up on a ladder and stabbed them in to the foam.  There were many bays lacking as much as 2 inches of spray foam.  I called Mike to let him know that I would prefer to have the bays filled properly, and he sent another crew out.
This crew was cleaning up when I went to inspect some new work on an outside wall and was flabbergasted to find that there wasn't even enough spray foam in some bays to cover an electrical box attached to the drywall.  There was supposed to be 3 inches.  I marked a dozen skewers at the 3 inch mark and stabbed them into the bays.  Then I asked the sprayer to top them off.  He finished and drove off before I could inspect his work.  The very obvious bay that didn't even have the electrical outlet box covered was untouched.  AND spray had gone through the small openings around a wall sconce electrical box and completely covered my computer and keyboard on the other side of the wall.
I called Mike to let him know the bay was missed, and he said he would send a guy out with cans of foam in the morning.  My contractor had to close up the wall, though, due to impending rain and so bought a number of cans at home depot and filled it himself.
Overall, this was a very unsatisfying situation.  If I had not inspected the work, drywall might have been hung over it and I never would have known that I was not getting what I was being charged for.  I understand that this is a busy time of year and that perhaps experienced help is difficult to find.  I do feel that Mike attempted to rectify the situations.  But, really, it should have been completed on the first day, and done right the first time.

They are very knowledgeable about the solar heating system, the whole solar panel system, They were on time. They were in and out of my house and did the entire job in a day and a half. We got a problem with one of the heat pumps. The installation was molded until the end of our house and the heat pump had a lot of the compressor unit vibrate the lot. So they came out and tried to fix it and it didn't really worked very well. And then they came back and uninstalled it from being molded from the actual frame of the house on to a cement pad which took all the vibration completely. So I was very happy with that. They were very responsive to that being not a major problem but more of an annoyance.

Set to start at 0900 and three work crews, one for each element, arrived at 0815. Checked with us on the areas to be worked on and started immediately. Very courteous, friendly, and efficient. Kept their work areas neat and clean. They were all done by the early afternoon of the next day. Gave us a final walk thru to explain the operation of everything. We were quite pleased with their smooth operation, about a week later they checked with us to see if there were any issues, we had one and it was handled quickly and to our 100% satisfaction.

My experience with them was excellent. They came and did the job they were supposed to do, they did it well, they did it professionally, and the end result is what they did is still working beautifully. The cost was part of an entire contract because we had our bathroom redone and they were part of the team that did it.

    J & M Gas
We obtained three bids from a list of 20+ contractors supplied by Maine Natural Gas.  We decided on J & M Gas for their quick responses and their knowledge of the conversion.  We own a home in Texas and are very familiar with the cost savings we've experienced in many of the homes we've owned and lived in.  The conversion contract was signed April 13, 2012 and 45% of the cost had to be paid upfront.  We were a bit concerned since a new furnace and A/C unit we installed in Texas required no downpayment. But we wrote the check and never had the need to look back. Mike from J & M kept us informed via email and telephone.  He coordinated with Roy Lane at Maine Natural Gas and we never imagined how smoothly the project moved.  A conversion kit for the Jotul was wrong and Mike worked with his provider to secure the proper kit.  This was the only slow down in the project.  It took a few additional emails and calls but once the part came, Mike installed it.  We worried about how they could possibly remove the two large oil tanks without damaging anything.  You'd never know it even happened.  Great work and outstanding service!
Our daughter and her family live in the home and will no longer have to set the temperature at 58 degrees to control their heating costs.  We can visit and not worry that we are adding to the use of the hot water which is much cheaper to heat with gas.  It's great to look at the fireplace on a cold night and enjoy a warm family room.
We highly recommend Mike and J & M Gas.  We still marvel at how well our long distance relationship went with this company.

It went very well overall, with all of the work's being done in a very professional manner, with the technicians taking time to explain the details of the system's function as well as to clean up and restore the areas in which they worked.  In addition, they will plan to return in the fall when the temperature drops sufficiently in order to "tweak" the system to ensure that it operates as designed.

Condino Heating & Air Conditioning Inc
They did a great job. The owner stopped by the same day I called to give me a quote. They came on the scheduled day (they had to push the exact time back by a couple of hours, but they called the day before to let me know another job had run longer than expected.) The owner himself and one other fellow did the work, they were both polite, clean and as quiet as the job allowed. They swept up the work area in the basement when they were done, and thoroughly explained what they had done. We needed a detailed receipt because we were having the work done as part of an inspection process for a new buyer. They obliged with no hesitation. They charged exactly what they had said they would, and that cost was half what another firm quoted. I'd recommend them to anyone.
