    Arwo Learning Center
We drive an extra fifteen minutes each way to Arwo because we love it there so much. One of our boys is 2 and has been there since he was five months old; our oldest is 5 and has been there since he was 3.5 years old. They've been at Arwo the whole time we've lived in Maine. There are kids at Arwo from diverse backgrounds, and the teachers are energetic and nurturing. We considered moving to a closer center, simply for convenience, but we hear so many complaints from other centers that we didn't want to risk it just to save about a half hour a day. We love Arwo!

    North Atlantic Montessori School
Its a childcare Montessori school. When I decided to go back to work, Bright Horizons couldn't get my son in for a few months. We were looking for a spot for him. At that time, he was going to be eight months old. Its hard to find an infant spot on the last minute. I did let her know that we had a provider that we normally use. That my daughter was at Bright Horizons and we were happy there. We paid our deposit and we paid every week. He did well. It was a small classroom and the teacher was phenomenal. The teacher actually ended up coming to an open position at Bright Horizons right around the same time we did. When I was dealing with them, I let them know a few weeks in advance that we were going to be leaving and she was very rude to me. She was very put out and angry that we were leaving and changing providers. I explained to her the reason why we were doing it and that we had two pick ups and two drop offs everyday and it was very hard. After she was rude to me. We have preschool openings and you can move your daughter over here. I was like, no that's not an option for us, she's doing very well where she is. Then afterwards, refused to give us out deposit back. She kept $270. We told her three weeks in advance. We needed to give her four weeks notice so we still gave her an extra week. We gave her the extra week pay but in addition to that, she kept our deposit. When my husband contacted her several times, she kept insisting that I hadn't notified her until a week later than I actually did. After awhile, she just stopped responding to his emails and wouldn't return our calls. I wasn't crazy about her, honestly. The teachers were good and the one teacher that ended up leaving. The teacher that left, she had worked for Bright Horizons before. She left North Atlantic because she wasn't happy with the way she was being treated. In addition, she doesn't have any health insurance. When she left and came to Bright Horizons, she had health insurance and the pay was better. She left for her own reasons. We just let her know there was an opening. The owner was very angry at both her and I. It wasn't the childcare that was an issue. There were some other things we were concerned about as my son got older like the playground was not attached to the school. It was on the other side of the parking lot for the strip mall that she was in. They were very safe with the kids, it was still just a concern for me. I would not recommend her to anybody.

We've been using them for almost three years. We started there in June of 2012. I would give them more than an A across the board on everything. My oldest is the one who's been there since she was 15 months old. From quality of care, education and experience, I have to drag her out of there kicking and screaming. She just turned four and she's almost reading so I give them credit for that. For what we get for it, I can't complain about the price. It is very expensive. Its one of the more expensive in the area but we made that choice based on what we get out of it and the quality of the equipment that they have and their access to different supplies. The teachers are phenomenal. They have pretty low turnover because the teachers are offered benefits which is one of the reasons why they are more expensive than the others.

The Toddle Inn has been great, and my daughter loves the other kids and the teachers there.  They're very professional and nurturing, which makes it easier to drop her off each day, knowing she has nice teachers who really care about her.  Nicole who manages the center is very helpful and nice as well.
Plus, a big perk over another center I used previously is that the Toddle Inn provides lunch each day.  It's a huge help as a busy parent to have one less thing to prep each morning.  We live in Auburn, and it's also in a great location, on the way to the turnpike.

    Creative Beginnings Childcare Center
It is very clean and organized. They love the children. My son loves going to them and he has learned a lot. Any of their employees could tell me accurately about something I need to know about my son. Also, if I need anything special done with my son I know they will take care of it. They take pride in how they present themselves and dress appropriately.
