Electrician reviews in Sanford

    Bauman Electric Inc
The electrical inspection went very well. Bob was on time and worked around my busy schedule to get work done. He was thorough with his inspection and answered all of our questions to satisfaction. Thank you for wearing booties while you worked in the house, as it was muddy outside. Very thoughtful.

    Norman's Electric
I bought my building in Dec '05. The previous owner had to have the porches rebuilt and that meant moving or removing the electrical service. When I bought the 8 family building the panels on the porch all looked new and in very good shape.
After I owned the build and was rehabbing the interiors (using other electrical contractors), it came to my attention that the connection from the street utility pole to the house was not up to code. The electricians had left the connection accessible to anyone walking by on the porch. It would be a stretch but they could grab it and do damage.
I discovered that Norman's Electric had done the original work and contacted them about it. I got a brush off. We finally had a meeting on the site with the town inspectors (who had approved the final work), the electrician and myself to address the problem.
Norman's refused completely to do anything to rectify their sloppy job, basically arguing that it had been inspected and it did not concern them anymore.
I was eventually able to work out a reasonable and low cost solution with the town, but I felt they should have stood behind their work product and brought it up to code at the least.
This is one of the bigger electrical businesses in Sanford and I have seen their trucks around a lot. It seems to me they should have known to do the job properly in the first place, and failing that, ought to have jumped in and done whatever was needed to make it right.

    Mcvey Electric
We made arrangements with Jason to visit out renovation site to provide electrical consulting, code compliance, and planning services.  Jason arrived on the planned date at the ageed time.  Jason inspected our project and provided guidance and advice for equipement used, layout, code compliance considerations,  best practices, and testing of the electrical work to be performed.  Once the majority of the electrical work had been completed by us, Jason returned to inspect the work and offer suggestions and corrections as needed to obtain a successful electrical code inspection.  Jason's experience and advice made our project easy to implement and complete within the deadlines we were under.  I would recommend McVey Electric to anyone requiring an experience electrical contractor to consult or complete work in a timely manner and at reasonable costs.

    MJ Electric
The experience with MJ Electric was outstanding from start to finish. On my initial call to MJ, Marcus picked up the phone, listened to what I needed and made arrangements to come to my house within a couple days to take a first hand look. He then provided me a proposal within three days of his visit and within two weeks the work was scheduled. He arrived at my house 15 minutes early on the day that the work was to be performed and did everything exactly as we had discussed. I was completely impressed with the quality of his work, the efficiency of the process, his punctuality and professionalism. All I can say is great job!
