  • The list of repairs totated  $1478.28.  Which was for A steering rack, A Tie rod and struts for the front end and Rear brakes.
The only needed repairs were the rear brakes.  All the part prices were infalted by about $30. There was a labor charge for replacing a muffler clamp of $42.50 Which is exorbitant  Since the car is 12yrs old we are at the point of making a decision of whether or not to keep it.  To confirm its condition we took the car to our regular state inspection station 1 month early.  The inspection mechanic found that the only needed repairs were the rear brakes.   NO Struts, No Streering rack and no tie rod ends.  And it appeared to him that some fluid had been placed on the steering gear to make it appear to be leaking.  The steering fluid reservoir was full so it could not have been leaking..
To set the scene my wife had made the appointment and drove the car to it.  She is 84.. I belive that they saw this as an opportunity for making a quick profit on some un-needed reairs by conning the little old lady.  What they did not know was that we owned a service station for 10 years and are fairly familiar with the un-ethical practices in the automotive industry.
We did have the neccessary repairs to the rear brakes performed because the inspection mechanic assured us that the rest of the car was in good shape and should give us at least a couple of years of trouble free use.  This leads to another problem their estimate did not adequately evaluate the needed repairs to the brakes both calipers, rotors and sets of pads were neeeded.  So in their greed they overlooked the calipers which would have further inflated the original estimate
It was a totally un-pleasant  exposure Of un-ethical business practices.    The final cost to us was approximately $600 which included a headlamp, labor and all the neccessary brake parts and the inspection sticker.

  • I took the truck in for an estimate. They assured me the front brakes were fine and the rear did need to be replaced. They were $50 cheaper than a national chain. I brought it back for the work and they did it on time, as quoted with the lifetime waranty on parts. I like using local people for my work and they were great.

  • They are a Chevrolet dealership. They are very professional and courteous. They are as accurate as I think that they could be. They would not do things that are not necessary. They are an all round quality shop. I have never felt that they tried to oversell me anything at all. I think that everything is overpriced these days. They are my 'go to' place for automotive work.

  • My experience with them was excellent. They are very competent and knowledgeable in their field and they keep their promises on scheduling as to when things are going to be done.

  • I have been using them for a little over a year. He does not seem to do stuff that does not need to be done. He seems to be very straightforward about what is wrong.
