Tree Service reviews in Portland

Not much to say other than, they would not give us the time of day. No call backs. No returning of messages. Like many services providers near by, they may be enjoying a glut of business. So for them I hope it's worth it. When and if the economy shakes up. it's businesses like this I'll remember who seeming had no need for a retail client when we wanted to do business with them. After attempting to work with them, many weeks before Christmas, to not have even been able to speak to a person there is a sad example of an incompetent business, prospering more our of liuck than they are proving themselves to perspective clients. That's my opinion.

    Martell And Sons Tree Service
Kevin Martell came by my house to give me a quote for removal of a dead/dying tree and removal of some brush. He said it was an easy job but charges a minimum of $200 so that was the price. When I asked when he could do it, he said "I'll come by some time next week." Fortunately, I work from home but I imagine that that would be a pretty inconvenient answer for most people. When he finally did come by I reminded Kevin that I had the brush to remove. He must have forgotten about that because he told me it would be an additional $20 ($220 total). Not being the confrontational type and still thinking it was fairly reasonable I did not say anything about the agreed upon $200, though in hindsight, I certainly should have. They did a pretty good job of removing the tree; it was quick and they were efficient. When I noticed they were packing up to leave I went out to check their work and a portion of the tree was still there. It was a small (6 inches in diameter) trunk. When I went out and asked him about it, he said that he could not take it because the tree was right on the property line and that trunk was on the neighbor's property. I was outraged and noted that he had said no such thing when he came to give me the quote. He had no answer to that. I told him that I would speak to the neighbor to get permission to take it down and let him know so that he could come back to remove it. Eventually I spoke to the neighbor and got permission to remove it. I called Kevin up to ask him to come by to remove the remaining tree and he told me it would be an additional cost! I told him that it was unacceptable and that I expected him to finish the job for the agreed upon price. He refused. I ended having to rent a chainsaw and finish the job myself.

    The Davey Tree Expert Company
The job is completely done.Davy was great, response from the 1st phone conversation he was here to evaluate the situation suggested options, together husband Mark as well said the thing to do was remove it. Davy returned a week later to grind the stump. Davy did a good well cleaned up job. Davy himself presented very friendly, professional neat and clean. Yes we would hire him again and recommend him.

    C & E Earth Works LLC
I would not hire this company. The owner of Earth Works drove heavy machinery and dragged logs over a neighboring leach field. The leach field had been staked but Earth Works removed the stakes. As an excavation company they should have known how much damage this could cause.

    Barrett Tree Service East, Inc.
I solicited bids from 5 or six tree removal companies. Barrett was competitively priced, listen to my needs and worked with me on the project to address any and all questions. Would absolutely recommend to friends.

    TLC Tree
Travis and his crew are always professional and do a fantastic job. They really know their business. I've have used them before to bring down some large oaks and maples that really needed to be cut as they were dying and too close to the house. They do quite a bit of work in my neighborhood and everyone has been pleased!!!

    Joseph Lynch Arborist
Joseph and his crew did a great job removing the trees, along with a lot of invasive that had grown around them. Very professional work - no bucket truck, just climbers in the trees. Everything was cleaned up afterward. The price was fair and reasonable given the amount of work involved.

    T. W. Enterprises, Inc Tree & Landscape Co
This was a tall spruce requiring heavy equipment. The crew had to use a neighbor's yard also to take down the tree and I was pleased that their yard was left undamaged and clean. Scheduling took a while because we had so much rain in the spring that it set them back. You can't control Mother Nature, and Tom was upfront about the delay and always responsive when I called for an update or, one day, to cancel the appointment myself because the ground was sopping wet again. The equipment left a divot in the sidewalk, and they called the next day to tell me they would fix it. Their price is competitive. These are nice people and conscientious workers.

The service was fine. They were good. Their price was along the same line with other tree trimmers. Their responsiveness was good. They did a good job and the workers were great. They did what I asked them to do.

everything went fabulous! Kevin came out looked at the job gave an estimate and set a date to do the job. They had an opening that came up earlier and called to see if they could do the job sooner. The clean up was fantastic if I hadn't known that Kevin's crew

had been there you really couldn't tell, well you could because the trees looked great but there was no debris, limbs, even sawdust left on the ground.
