  • This is an excellent, top notch, local company that specializes in water, fire, hazardous material etc. clean up. Was referred to us by a contractor who diagnosed the leak, but our insurance company also uses this company as one of their prefered providers. They were in our home for about 3 weeks initially and then they helped us again, when we had to clear the whole first floor of furniture to ready for the floors to be redone and to bring the furniture back. They brought all kinds of equipment that would extract water from the floors and ceiling. The machines run 24/7, but were of high quality and seemed new or fairly new. Their employees were great: knowledgeable, hardworking, professional and personable. They always made it known they were working for us but their relationship with the insurance company was a real bonus. They were paid by the insurance company directly, so we cannot list the cost. But, all of us were always on the same page. Their work was extremely neat and well done. I recommend this company without reservation.

  • I've hired many contractors since becoming a homeowner, and it's always a surprise when a group of strangers show up to do work I hired someone else to do. But not Bob. Bob did all his own work! He was fast, focused, organized, unobtrusive... in fact, I would say he was lovely to have around. Such a nice guy, and very good at what he does. Bob was here for 4 days and not once did I wish him gone. He did an amazing job and I would hire him again in an instant.

  • Having used the services of Magic Carpet over the last several years, I had NO hesitation calling them. The firm is capable of a multitude of home-related "cleaning" including water damage restoration on site. Although I have not had the need for heavy duty work, I would certainly call Magic Carpet for it/
    Everything about this company is superb, including the personnel and owners.

  • The Servpro representative, Katrina Millett, was incredibly helpful and seemed to have our best interest in mind.  We are a small non-profit without a large budget.  After identifying the second plumbing problem that was causing the water not to recede, she advised us to clean up the remaining water ourselves rather than go to the expense of having Servpro do it.   As she predicted, the water was gone within a short time.     I was very impressed with the professionalism and caring attitude she displayed and I will definitely use this company in the future - and I'll recommend this company to anyone to needs cleanup services.

  • The gentleman who came out spent quite a bit of time in the basement. (on leaving he failed to turn out a light at the far end and left it to me.)
    He gave me a long spiel about the mold issue and what they would have to do to remove it, finishing up with an guesstimate of $5,000. He was clear that he needed to work out specifics and that was not an official estimate, but he would email me the final result the next week. I had at no time told him that I wanted them to address the mold issue, rather I wanted someone to literally clean up the dirt on the floor now that we were pretty sure it would not flood again. But I listened to what he had to say, considering the possibility we might want to do a more thorough job. I did not flinch when he mentioned the amount of money he thought it would cost us.
    When the document came to my email, fairly close to when it was promised, the bottom line was $10,000. All in all I felt that he had an agenda to pursue and was not really listening to what I said or asking questions about what I wanted to have done. I was, also, vaguely suspicious that since I had not batted an eyelash when he mentioned the first figure, he could safely double it. It may well be that this is reasonable, but he seemed to zero in on high end work and not what I had called for.

  • Very easy to work with.  Estimate was made almost immediately after my initial call and installation was scheduled not long after.  The installation team was on time, professional and pleasant.  I've used big national companies in other homes, and this was by far the easiest experience.  I was offered many options and they were all explained to me thoroughly so I really understood my choices.  Since the system was installed, I've messed up a couple of times and the response was immediate, thorough and left me feeling that if something had really been wrong, I would have been protected.  Very happy with Cunningham.

  • Everything went according to the plan outlined in the estimate. They showed up on time, did a nice job installing the equipment, and, since we haven't had any burglaries, it must work great! Cunningham was highly recommended, and the $100 coupon from Angie's List was an added incentive. We would now recommend them highly.

  • Dan came over promptly and reviewed the house wiring and made upgrade suggestions. A substantial amount of work was needed in the attic between the time asbestos insulation was remediated and before new insulation was installed.   The electrical work was started but his crews were called away to other jobs.  The crews returned to finish the work on time.  The crew members were all very professional.

  • The initial ordering of the basic equipment went flawless.  Great customer service on the sales end easy to use website.  Originally ordered the basic system with extra entry sensors for all windows and floors.  Also received a Carbon Monoxide sensor, water sensor, and panic button. System was easy to install and worked well.
    In summary, everything about their system is great, easy to install, equipment cost is very reasonable and their monitoring service does not require a contract, HOWEVER STAY AWAY FROM THE SMOKE DETECTORS, I suspect since it is so consistent (three sets of replacements )it is more then just a "design flaw" as they suggest. Although I have become rather good at clearing the error, only problem is it only lasts from 3-7 days and it happens again.  
    SMOKE DETECTORS - Since this is the only issue I have had here are the details of our challenges with them. Problems with the system did not start until we added the smoke detectors that came available about a month or two after we started the service. I ordered and installed three smoke detectors. A few weeks later we started to receive errors on them. I called the customer service and after 2-3 hours of troubleshooting with them on the phone they sent me two replacements for the one's showing errors. Customer service gets an "A".
    Two weeks after receipt and installing the new ones started showing errors as well.  One triggered a false alarm at 5:00 AM while we were on vacation in Florida. Interesting point on the false alarm was the actual alarm did no sound or flash, just issued an alarm. I sent an email but did not hear back from them, which all aside was not consistent with the customer service I have been receiving from them.
     After about two weeks and no reply to my email, I called them and reviewed the issues again and finally the customer service department  acknowledged there was a design issue with the smoke detectors.  There was other customers having similar issues.  She advised me the error issue had been corrected and a new shipment  of the smoke detectors was coming in that Monday so they would send me three new and improved smoke detectors.  
    They provided me one month of free service ($24.99) which I actually appreciated and thought was appropriate.  Well the new and "improved" smoke detectors looked exactly like the once's being replaced and true to form, a week after install I have started to receive errors again. I have sent another email, I will let you know how it goes...
    Note - They did offer to take back the detectors and refund my money, however I originally purchased the system for the full package not just the entry sensors so my  hope is  they are able to figure it out.
