    After purchasing 2 chair mats over 2 years ago, one failed.  I filed a claim on the mat under the lifetime warranty and it was approved, manufactured and shipped within weeks.  These people not only provide a quality product but back it up with action.  I used to go through 2-3 chair mats a year from national chains that sold relatively expensive mats. 
    How many times to you go to a counter or pick up the phone with the warrantied items and fear the barrage of questions and hassles you get when you say "this item has failed and it has a lifetime warranty"!  Well it was incredible.  Chairmats USA apologized and processed my request with a smile. 
    I know chair mats seem pretty insignificant in life but when you use them as much as I do and to have a company really mean a lifetime warranty without a hassle, it makes me remember that there are great companies out there that stand by their products.

    I  spent some time looking for the right armchair; sat in all they had at Furniture Market, and chose fabrics for what I wanted.  I had asked the lead time and was told 12 weeks.  While that seemed a long time, I was willing to wait because it would arrive about the time I expected a lot of company in August.  All the furniture is ordered from California I was told, and you have to wait until they fill a truck to have it shipped.
    When the week I expected my chair arrived without any word, I called the store.  They would call me back, as they couldn't answer the question about when it might arrive.  I got a call later in the week and was told it might be a few more weeks.  A second call after a few more weeks (these calls were to the office staff, not the saleswoman) resulted in the same.  Finally after FIVE months, I went to the store and confronted my sales woman.  She was gone a long time and finally came and told me my chair had never been ordered. She said the fax went, but apparently was not received. THIS WAS AFTER 2 CALLS ASKING WHERE MY CHAIR WAS!  
    She said she was really sorry, etc, and offered free delivery and a to "work with me on a good price on anything in the store".  But only what I ordered, in MY colors works for me.  They did not offer a discount if I wanted to wait another 12 weeks, but I doubt I would have taken it.  They did refund the money albeit without interest or promise of future discount.
    So what kind of company is it that a) doesn't follow up on its orders  b) doesn't follow up on customers' calls c) doesn't ask its sales staff to follow up to be sure the customer will get their order??  A very sloppy operation.
    Please see the Young's Furniture review as well, as Furniture Market is owned by Youngs and I wonder if that reviewer was really at Furniture Market since I had the same saleswoman.  And the Furniture Market and Youngs traded buildings  a while ago, so it is confusing.

    We visited several showrooms in the Portland area, looking for a couch for a new apartment. We liked Young's because of the wide selection of sectionals and the prices were reasonable. Everything was going well until we gave our sales associate (Jolene) our credit card, which is when she told us that our couch (which is not custom-made) wouldn't be delivered for AT LEAST 8 weeks. I understand some lag time between order and delivery, but we felt 2 months was really unreasonable, especially since this wasn't a custom fabric, color, or design by any means. They half-heartedly offered to provide a "loaner" couch for the 2 months, but they never called us about it. And when we called to inquire about that program about a week our purchase, they said they only had one couch available and it was too disgusting to loan out. So...we're now on week 10 and it's been radio silence from Young's and our associate. We called her this week to get a status update. She informs us that the couch is there (how long it's been there...not sure. No one bothered to call us). Jolene informs us that we still have to wait 2 weeks for delivery. Since Young's didn't bother to check on the couch, she couldn't schedule our delivery ahead of time. I can't comment on the quality of the couch because we haven't even seen it yet. But this experience has been frustrating enough that even if this couch is wonderful, it just wasn't worth the experience we had at Young's.

    This is privately owned and it is a home-store.  They sell few pieces of furniture except fabrics.  It is like a home designer type store.
