    GREENWAY FORD
The car had 29000 miles on it but was reconditioned and certified with new car warranties.  6 days later it became erratic about starting.  A call back to our salesman resulted in a quick appointment and new battery.  Now runs like a charm and we love it.

    Gallaghers Auto Repair
I've had work done on my vehicle 3 times, just this year, and I've taken it to Gallaghers each time. Everyone in the shop is honest and dependable. Recently I purchased tires from Gallaghers. After looking around, I decided that they offered a full set for a few hundred dollars cheaper than their competition.

    Main Street Garage
Owner is pleasant and personable.  I was referred by my girlfriend who has dealt with this company for years. I overheard the mechanic telling the owner that the serpentine belt was original, but looked to be in good shape and did not need replacing.

    HARTLEY'S
They sell automobiles and have a garage and all that type of thing. We bought our automobile there, and by buying our car there, we get a better deal on service. The job was fine. We have recommended them to other people. We have always had the same salesman and he has always treated us well. I decided to go with them because my grandfather had always gone to them. We are very happy with them. They are excellent in everything. We had to stop by on our way out of town, and they helped us as we were leaving town even though they couldn't work us in. They told us what we needed to do and what was good, so we are very happy with them. They have always treated us well and been honest, so we are very happy.

I found them on the web and liked the picture of the vehicle; I picked it up and they had it ready for me.

    Brooks Tire & Auto Sales
Brooks Auto is very picky about the cars they purchase. They are very detailed in picking only the best cars to sell. I purchased a 2000 saturn for my wife, and it looks brand new. As we drove away we realized the car was equipt with a remote starter, an additional $250 bonus. I would definitely refer them to a friend or family member.

    QUIRK HYUNDAI
It was clean and well air conditioned, and they cover all the brands. The salesman was quite helpful. He was courteous, and stayed right with it for the whole five hours. I still got a car even though my credit wasn't excellent.

    PRAY'S AUTO SALES
Provider said they had fixed an issue.  They had not done so. We made a separate appointment to have it fixed.  They fixed it the 2nd time around.  We are getting lots of unwanted mail regarding extended warranty, with information specific to this purchase. Don't know where the mailers got our info.

    DOWNEAST TOYOTA
The experience did not go well at all. I was trying to purchase my first car and had gone to another dealer who quoted me a price. I tried to get the same car at either a better or same price but was told they could not sell me that car at that price I was quoted ($300) different. I was told that I either buy the car today at the price they wanted for it or never come back!!! I would never go back and this experience has never left me after all these years.I couldn't believe that they were actually telling me to leave and never come back if I didn't buy that car that day. I was a pretty shy and in my 20's. Never thought I would of been pressured like that but was on a tight budget and $300 was a lot of money to me back then. I went out that day and bought a car, but not at Downeast Toyota! Was not a good experience.

    Varney Buick GMC
The entire event was a disaster, when I called for an estimate for the injector pump I was quoted $845.00 for parts and $650.00 for labor. When I received my bill I was charged $1120.00 for the pump and over $800.00 for labor. Upon questioning this I was told that is the price and nothing could be done. I left the dealership after paying them $4000.00 total, we only drove 200 miles before the vehicle died along side of the interstate. I immediately called Varney GMC and spoke with the service coordinator I had been dealing with the entire time, I informed her that I was broken down on the side of the interstate at which time she informed me that they were not able to assist me and I needed to "Call your dealer". This was referring to the fact the vehicle was originally purchased at another dealership by another party. Varney GMC provided no other assistance to me, they did not inform me of the location of any dealers near where I was, nor did they offer anything. I was able to call a tow truck and was towed into a Chevrolet dealership in Portland, Maine. After several hours I was informed that the injector pump needed to be replaced, the second dealership could not believe I had just had the unit replaced. I remained at the dealership for over 30 hours while the vehicle was again repaired. At this time the Portland dealership informed me that the turbo vacuum line was broken and had not been properly operating since it left Varney GMC. In addition, at this time the Portland Chevrolet dealer informed me that the fuel tank gauge was still not properly repaired. I left Portland, Maine and continued south on I-95, we drove approximately 200 more miles when the check engine light came on in the truck and we began to loose power, after spending another night in a rest area I spoke with the Portland Chevrolet dealership who determined an injector had been clogged from when the Varney GMC injector pump failed. I was advised to drive the vehicle. When we got to New Jersey and still did not have a properly operating vehicle we called Varney GMC and spoke with the highest member of management possible, the sales manager. At this time we explained the entire event to him, including the telephone call with the service coordinator. The sales manager informed me that my vehicle was never a very good model, even though it sold for over $30,000 new, and that "vehicles break down". When I told him I had $4000 in repairs into 200 miles and the same problem presented itself he had no answer. The sales manager promised to call me back in a day or two with a solution to the situation as he wanted to "make it right". The next day, when the vehicle was still not running right, I decided to see if I could find the problem. At this time I discovered that the fuel filter, which sits on top of the injector pump, and must be removed to replace the injector pump, had never been changed at Varney GMC. Basically they claim to have removed the injector pump, dropped the fuel tank, power washed the tank (at an outside vendor) and somehow replaced the entire system without changing the $20.00 fuel filter, when their assessment was that I had "fuel system contamination". I then had to bring my vehicle to another GMC dealership and have them make additional repairs, at which time they discovered 9 trouble codes in the computer system. I also discovered Varney GMC had charged me $90.00 for a front end alignment, which they never performed. I can produce paperwork from when this service was performed at a non GMC dealership two days after I picked up the vehicle from Varney GMC. I never heard back from Varney GMC until January 2010 after they received my credit card dispute paperwork. I do not believe Varney GMC ever changed the injector pump, had they done so per the warranty requirements they would have had to change the fuel filter. I will never again conduct business with Varney GMC and as a result of this experience will never purchase another GMC vehicle. I have always been a "Chevy" fan and have owned three other Chevy trucks in the past. We currently own four vehicles, and I will deal with any other company problems to at least know I am not paying for services which are not performed.
