    Arwo Learning Center
We drive an extra fifteen minutes each way to Arwo because we love it there so much. One of our boys is 2 and has been there since he was five months old; our oldest is 5 and has been there since he was 3.5 years old. They've been at Arwo the whole time we've lived in Maine. There are kids at Arwo from diverse backgrounds, and the teachers are energetic and nurturing. We considered moving to a closer center, simply for convenience, but we hear so many complaints from other centers that we didn't want to risk it just to save about a half hour a day. We love Arwo!

    Sasha Shunk Childcare
She’s good. We pay $225 a week. She has a great place. It’s a small in-home daycare but it’s accredited. They take field trips which is great especially for our child. Meals are included which is a hug help. She has employees and they have 12 kids maximum so there’s always 2-3 employees there. She’s very experienced and organized.

    DIRIGO INFANT TODDLER CARE
My daughter is almost two and has been attending Dirigo for about three months now. She and I both are very happy with her time there. The owner has maintained her pricing schedule. which is the most affordable in Freeport, while other places in town charge as much as double. My daughters linguistics, motor, and social skills have improved dramatically since she started attending. The carer to child ratio is more than adequate and the facilities are very safe and clean. Overall I have had an excellent experience with this child care facility. I recommend Dirigo to any parent looking for affordable, quality childcare. **The $213 price point is their weekly rate for my 1.5 year old. It's 46/day for part time.**

LITTLE HANDS DAYCARE & LEARNING CENTER
Caring and knowledgeable staff, no TV in infant room. Lots of playmates means lots of chances to learn social skills but also lots of chances to pick up the latest bug going around. (Staff does a good job keeping things clean but sneezes happen...!)

    BRIGHT HORIZONS CHILDREN'S CTR
We've been using them for almost three years. We started there in June of 2012. I would give them more than an A across the board on everything. My oldest is the one who's been there since she was 15 months old. From quality of care, education and experience, I have to drag her out of there kicking and screaming. She just turned four and she's almost reading so I give them credit for that. For what we get for it, I can't complain about the price. It is very expensive. Its one of the more expensive in the area but we made that choice based on what we get out of it and the quality of the equipment that they have and their access to different supplies. The teachers are phenomenal. They have pretty low turnover because the teachers are offered benefits which is one of the reasons why they are more expensive than the others.

    TODDLE INN LEARNING CTR
My husband and I moved to the area this summer had heard good things about the Toddle Inn in South Portland.  My daughter has now been attending day care part time for 6 months and we are VERY happy with the care that she receives each day.  She is smiling when we leave her and when we pick her up (sometimes even gives us a fight about going home :)).  Her care-takers have all been working at this location for many years which provides us with a lot of confidence and we can tell that our daughter has bonded with them over this short period of time.  We would recommend the Toddle Inn to other parents looking for child care in the Portland area.

    GODDARD SCHOOL
It has been absolutely phenomenal. They are kind, very experienced, knowledgeable and very communicative with parents. They are more than just a day care, they are more of a school with lesson plans and everyone in the facility has master degrees in early child hood development. I would highly recommend them.

    TODDLE INN LEARNING CTR
The Toddle Inn has been great, and my daughter loves the other kids and the teachers there.  They're very professional and nurturing, which makes it easier to drop her off each day, knowing she has nice teachers who really care about her.  Nicole who manages the center is very helpful and nice as well. Plus, a big perk over another center I used previously is that the Toddle Inn provides lunch each day.  It's a huge help as a busy parent to have one less thing to prep each morning.  We live in Auburn, and it's also in a great location, on the way to the turnpike.

NEW MEADOWS CHILD CARE & LEARN
They are open M-F 6:30am to 5:30pm and have a fairly strict 9 hour limit for your child to be in the building on any given day.  Both breakfast and lunch are provided and are made onsite each day.  The staff is very friendly and supportive, especially during challenging times in a child's development.  Staff members and the owners will work with you to troubleshoot difficult situations while ensuring that all of the children are safe and well looked after.  The kids spend a lot of time outside, and there is a huge playground which is divided up into different areas according to age group.  The curriculum ranges from arts and crafts and music to learning activities that promote the children's inquisitiveness and unique learning styles.  Overall we are incredibly satisfied with the care our son is receiving.

    BACK COVE SCHOOL
The staff seems very conscientious and caring. My infant son goes there and the women taking care of him are very loving and I feel like he is getting enough attention. My pre-schooler loves going there and the woman who runs that program is very in-tune with the kids. All of the staff are friendly and competent.
