We had gotten a very high quote from a national chain for a kitchen makeover. We contacted Eric and his quote was much more in line with our budget. He did an amazing job and is a talented builder. He even did some extras like wiring a light and switch, installing an over the range microwave and putting up wainscoating in the dining room. We highly recommend Eric and Superior Refinishing Solutions

Day One - Eric cochere of Superior Refinishing solutions - Called said he couldn't make it, would be there next day Day Two - Called couldn't find paper he wrote address down on and couldn't find color #'s I had given him. He says, you wanted dark blue/grey right, I said no I wanted battleship grey and I gave you the home depot #'s, are you at home depot, he said yes, but he wasn't he was at Hamond Lumber. He arrived, the grey paint did not look like what I had picked out and I didn't want him to use it, so I went to Home Depot which is 45 minutes away for me and bought the correct color paint, went through the hassle of trying to get them to just give me a can with tint in it as Eric said they would do, but finally convinced them and left Eric at my house to start working. He arrived with his 7 year old son, which wasn't a problem, but he brought no food or drink for him, so I fed the both of them at lunch time. Eric drinks Mountain Dew all day. Day Three - text me he had an emergency tub situation, wouldn't be there that day but would the next. Day Four - arrived did some painting on bases, took all the cupboard doors off to take home to spray paint, said He would be back Monday to finish painting and put doors back on. Day Five - Tuesday not Monday - brought his father-in-law(very elderly) with him to help put hinges back on - in this covid situation, I should have been asked if that was ok, before he just arrived with him. I put post it notes on everything that had not been painted yet, with color to be painted, still didn't paint everything and some with wrong color. Eric used masking tape not painter's tape so when he pulled tape off it ripped off some spots on the bead board, which was not fixed or painted. The color white on the cabinet doors do not match the color white on the cabinet base. I pointed that out to him but he thought it was just the afternoon light in the kitchen, it isn't, they don't match. Father-in-law was pushing him to leave, so he was hurrying to finish up. If you enter my house and look from a distance, the kitchen looks great, but when you get closer, it is not. I should have looked much closer before I paid him, but again his father-in-law was pushing to leave. The bottom cabinets painted grey are acceptable on the front side, but not the back side, complete mess. The top cabinets are not acceptable at all, it looks like a rush spray job to get them done and back to us. We met Eric at the Home Show in Portland, which I thought gave venders a certain degree of professionalism and credibility. My husband and I went and looked at a kitchen he was doing and it looked really nice, so I did my due diligence, before I hired him, so I thought. Issues: paint splatters on trim, window sills, faucets, not completed paint job on mop boards only where you could see at a distance, no paint underneath the cabinets but paint splatters, where the roller hit when he was painting the bead board, areas left unpainted. His father-in-law used the facilities at my house, and left the bathroom in a condition that I had to clean and disinfect the entire room. I sent Eric Cochere a text message indicating my disappointment in the quality of the job I had received, I was promised a show room quality kitchen when he was done, but that is not what I received. I indicated that the decision was his to make on what to do about it, and I would not recommend him to anyone at that point, and the reply I received back from him was "**** You" . Very unprofessional. Tried to add pictures below but couldn't make it work.
