Poor customer service. My parent's purchased a washer and dryer a couple years back, and felt good because they were supporting local business. They recently had an issue with our dryer vent, so they called to schedule a repair visit. Thye were told this was too small of a repair to warrant a repair visit. They told them to fix it themselves. They are an older couple, and moving the dryer is difficult - so they called back asking to schedule service at any price. The receptionist again said they do not offer service for repairs this small, and did not have any suggestions for what to do. She then hung up.

The installation went very well and the kitchen looks fantastic. As with remodels you always hit glitches, and Fred is great about engineering a way around prospective problems. He thinks about what he is doing and the outcome.  We were returning home from Florida and Fred worked a 15 hour day to have it all done for us. He is not the cheapest guy in town, but his integrity and quality of work are worth a premium.

    Johnson Appliance Service
He just told me the problem over the phone. He told me what to do. I did it, fixed the problem and dishwasher has been running ever since. No charge

    Sears Appliance Repair
They were very good. Their responsiveness was very good. They were there when they said they would be. There was one guy and he was excellent. As a matter of fact while he was there, I asked him about a microwave whether it was worth getting fixed. He basically told me that I would pay this to get it repaired and told me that I just could buy another one. That was nice. I appreciated the honesty.

No only did the online person identify the proper part in a short time but offered to order the part for me, filling out the order form.  and the best part is that the handle arrived the next day.  The whole process was taken care of very professionally.

Steve's Appliance Service & Sales Inc
Of course, he knew exactly what he was doing,  and after the 'technical assistance' free  service worked, we did not need their on-site service.   However, when we do in the future - you can bet Steve's will get our business!

My freezer compartment of my refrigerator quit working. When I called Ray and left a message on his answering machine (he's pretty much a one-man operation), he called back a couple of times before he reached me. He arrived when I had yet to return home as planned and waited for me! He had absolutely everything he needed to complete the job right in his van. He was professional, capable and got the job done in less than an hour. Ray personifies old-fashioned work ethic. His fee was more than reasonable and his work was just what my freezer needed. I recommend him highly.

I bought a radio shack thing from a radio shack dealer and they had repaired it previously. They were good. They plugged my washing machine in, which was unplugged to make it work, for $45 in April whereas some other service provider wanted to charge me $200. They were also here in the year 2006 for repairing my refrigerator. They were here twice for two refrigerators of which one had a problem with the door. I was very pleased with their service then. They were not only good but their price was good as well. I pulled my washing machine. There was a latch to the front loader and the lock was buzzing as the little piece of plastic broke. The part cost so much because I could not buy it without buying a $150 block of cement that goes at the bottom of the washing machine. They said that they were more than happy to order the part but it was not worth it which was very honest. I ended up buying a brand new washing machine in a sale from another vendor but not from them because the prices were too high. You just can't beat their appliance repair, though. They gave me a good advice. I would definitely use them in the future.

We have a two year old LG glass top electric stove. About a year ago, the electric control panel buttons for two of the five burners started to intermittently stop responding, then quit all together.  John Park from Park Appliance Repair came out and tested/cleaned connections for all burners and the control panel and has it working like new again.  He also gave us the part number of the part that caused the problem in case it fails again in the future.   Making the appointment was a breeze.  He was on time and very professional.
