    Mainely Water
Chuck not only repaired the leak, he also spotted and repaired an error in the original installation that would allow our drinking water to be contaminated. His work was neat and professional. I have had him return to install an on-demand gas water heater and a third time to take care of a plumbing problem caused by a frozen waste line. He arrived when he said he would and I considered his charges well within what I expected to pay.

    Atlantic Water Solutions LLC
The company went out of their way (literally as we live in a very remote part of Maine) to study the problem, make the right solution and install in a timely manner at an appropriate cost. They listened to our concerns, performed tests and designed a system to best meet our needs. Installation was timely and efficient.

    Mainely Water
We hired Mainely Water to install a Rinnai water heater in our home back in September (2016). The process was simple. Chuck was very informative. He scoped out our mechanical room and quoted a system in about 1/2 hour. Installation about 4 days later. The new water heater is so nice ! We have never run out of hot water like we did before. And our gas bill in next to nothing. We are believers ! We highly recommend Chuck & his company.

    Air & Water Quality Inc
Nate, the technician, came and installed the system he had been told to install by the salesman. Water was improved, but not perfect. He retested the water and advised me to add the next type of filter. I did. Water still wasn't right...so he installed the final filter and I was to try it for 90 days at no cost. Our water is perfect because Nate kept working to achieve perfect water. He gave me his cell phone number so that if I had any kind of question or problem I could contact him. I did several times and he was always patient in explaining things. He even sat in the basement with me for about an hour so that I could learn the sounds of the system so I would know if anything wasn't working properly. Yes, it took awhile to hone in on the perfect system but I never felt as if I wasn't going to taken care of or eventually satisfied. I can recommend this company and their personnel as top notch in the business! Also, when you call them, a person answers! The other company in this area NEVER answers their phone.

    HASKELL'S WATER TREATMENT
This was a great experience. The employees were professional, willing to travel, and educated me along the way so that I knew what I was buying. I had awful tasting water, awful smelling water, and all of my sinks and toilets were terribly stained. The water softener recommended to me has stopped all of this. In addition, the installers were able to recommend a cleaning product so that I could remove the staining that had already occurred.

    Advanced Quality Water Solutions
Our well developed high levels of iron and manganese causing a foul taste and odor. I began doing research online and also contacted the Maine Water Quality people at the state government. So before I called Advanced Quality Water Solutions, I was already armed with a fair amount of knowledge. I knew that the two most common treatments to address this problem were either a standard water softener using salt or this green sand filter which uses the green sand and oxygen to precipitate out the iron and manganese. Since my well water wasn't particularly hard and I didn't want all that salt in my water, I decided to go with the green sand filter. I called the company and spoke to Mr. Winter. I asked him a bunch of questions as if I didn't know anything. He also asked me a bunch of questions and then scheduled a visit to come out and take a look at my well to make sure the problem wasn't being caused by surface water leaking into my well. He dropped a camera down my well to have a look. After his investigation, he recommended this oxidating catalyst system using the green sand filter media. He came over about a week later and installed it. Huge difference in our water quality! It smells and tastes great. Mr. Winter was extremely knowledgeable and professional the whole time. He was patient in answering my questions. He didn't talk down to me and spoke in plain English without using a bunch of technical terms. What I really appreciated was that he took the time to investigate and make sure that a less expensive solution wasn't available. Then he outlined the options for me so I could make the decision. I know that a regular water softener is cheaper but it also requires more maintenance and you have to deal with all that salt. I was very happy with his company and recommend them 100%. He is based in Brunswick but had no problem coming up to the Augusta area and said that he often travels even further than that.

my issue is, occasionally while watering my garden or using a faucet in the house, the pressure drops off considerably, especially if you flush a toilet. I have high iron in my water and i wanted to see if the pipe from the well was restricted. if the pump can supply plenty of water to the house then maybe the valve and inlet to the tank was restricted, or maybe it's the tank it's self. either way something needs to be done. 1) the "green horn" they sent to my house was not the plumbing guy i was told was the man for the job. he showed up around 9am and was on the phone to his boss the entire time. he disconnected the incoming line but who know what the volume of water was. i don't even think he checked it. 2) if there pump was working properly and there was more the 4gal/min coming from the well then replacing the check valve and fittings to the tank would have been straight forward, or at least take it apart to see if it were plugged. which was the case at my neighbors, who has high iron in the water as well. 3) the last few re-cylces/cleaning the softener did not function properly and it turned the water in the house orange, more so then it was before we installed the softener. which was installed less than a year ago. this never happened and i ended up doing a couple manual flushes. 4) instead of turning the softener to by-pass every time i need to water the garden i would like to install a by-pass line prior to the softener to the spigots. this is about 4' away from the existing supply to the spigot on the west side of the house, which is directly across the east side spigot 30' away. so for a couple "T", some end caps and 35' of tubing they quoted me $550, i don't think the kid even measured the distance. tubing $1 per foot, $10 to $20 in fittings and solder and maybe, maybe, two hours of work...i'll just do it myself. so, their troubleshooting said "maybe it's the head pressure in the well". they turned the water off around 10am left for the day and showed up 5.5hrs later and checked for leaks and let the well "fill up". NO LUCK, they didn't find anything, test anything or fix anything...nor did they offer a possible next step or solution, nope, just a bill for 3.5hrs of laybor at $85/hr...$300 to shut my water off for an entire day! wife couldn't flush toilets or do laundry dishes wash her hands...an hour an a half of work, did nothing, fixed nothing and charged me for 3.5!  I WILL NEVER USE THE GUYS AGAIN.

The system never really lived up to expectations from day one. They were called out to "tweak" the system several times and each time they would claim that the system was working perfectly. This went on for several years as I watched the black, green, and pink, stains in my PEX pipes grow and grow and grow. Each time they came out to inspect and adjust the system I would get a bill for several hundred dollars and a claim that everything was fine. The last time that I asked them to come out was because I was getting tired of looking at the black streaks in my toilet and they repeated their previous claim that the system was working fine and sent me yet another bill at 80 dollars an hour for several hundred more dollars. This time I complained about the amount of the bill because I simply felt that they had not resolved the problem and here I was once again being asked to pay them even more money after being patient for several years while they "figured out" what was wrong. Why am I paying them to fix a problem that was theirs to begin with? When I complained I was told that I would have to speak with one of the owners and they would have them call me. Weeks went by and I never got a call back. But I did get a statement which incuded late payment charges. So I called again to complain about the bill and the late payment charges since I was waiting for the promised call back from the owner. I was told once again that I would have to speak to the owner directly and that they would have him call me. Weeks went by and still no call back but the statements with ever increasing late charges kept coming. So one day I got a phone call that I assumed was somone telling me that the owner was coming to inspect my system and finally get this problem resolved but instead the call was from a COLLECTION AGENCY who had been hired to collect my BAD DEBT! The only ones that were delinquent were the owners of the company in failing to respond to a customer complaint but their way of dealing with it was to send me to collections and damage my otherwise EXCELLENT credit rating. When I called to ask them to remove my name from the collection agency they hung up on me. I finally paid the bill only to try to preserve my credit rating which really rubbed me the wrong way as I felt I was being forced to submit to their terrible service or pay the consequences of having my credit rating ruined. So now I am left with a non functiong system that I spent several thousand dollars on and a completely unresponsive company that installed it. Do not call these guys unless you have a huge tolerance for frustration and being neglected and insulted.
