Jonathan transformed them all to white. They are beautiful. He was professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with. He is very busy and in high demand but well worth the wait.

    Custom Glaze
Johnathan was great, my tub-shower was very yellowish and dull and I tried everything to make it look better. I contacted a couple of contractors but received the best estimate and results from Custom Glaze. The tub-shower looks like new and shines. What a big difference. In addition to the good work, Johnathan explained how to maintain it to keep it looking good and he was very professional in all the work that he did including the clean-up. I am very happy!!!!!!!!!!

    Custom Glaze
First off, after an inquiry on this list, I was contacted by Kathy.  She was as professional a CSR as I have ever dealt with.  I took several pictures of the areas to be recolored and she promptly quoted the job.  We scheduled the work and she sent me a list of cleaning and set-up instructions. So, in advance I had removed the toilet, washed the floor and vacuumed thoroughly to prevent any dust that might compromise the job.  On the scheduled day John was careful to not track sand and snow into the house.  Throughout he was polite, knowledgeable and pleasant.  He told me had worked many years as a tile setter and his construction knowledge clearly showed. On that first day, John:     Removed the shower stall door (it was was pretty grubby and needed extensive cleaning, which I did); Dug out all the old caulk and some grout which had been used in places that should have been caulk (he said that for grout, both sides of the joint must be tile or other non-moving material);   Took out all removable pieces like faucet covers, shower head, toilet paper holder, etc; Scrubbed the surfaces to be glazed with acetone to be sure the glaze would stick; Used paper and masking tape to cover everything which might catch any overspray (he even had special masking tape which could be reliably removed from wallpaper).   On the second day he sprayed everything, removed most of the masking, and cleaned up.  There was minimal smell, no noise, no fuss, and no hassle. (He opened a window in the adjoining bed-room slightly.  There is a low flow vent in the bathroom that is part of the condo ventilation system.)   We did not go in the bathroom for the recommended 72 hours to give the glaze time to properly harden.  After that I went in, removed the remaining masking which was quick and easy to do, replaced the shower stall door, faucet covers and shower head, and re-caulked everything with the caulk John had recommended. He had also left behind a tube of construction adhesive, which I used to remount the toilet paper holder in its hole in the tile. I then laid a new self-stick vinyl tile floor over the old 1975 inch square tile (first a skim coat of mortar to fill in the grout lines in the old tile) and remounted the toilet.  Presto, chango - an amazing NEW bathroom.  We couldn't be more pleased. In recaulking the shower stall I notice three small paint drip/runs high up in a back corner.  There is also a light abrasion mark on one side which I know I caused but on inspection I think the glaze is thinner there than elsewhere so I think it may be a shared responsibility.  I contacted Kathy and she offered to schedule a fix-it visit immediately.  Since it is an hour plus drive for John and our schedule was full then, I offered to wait until they are in the area again for the visit.  That hasn't happened yet.  When it does, I will report back.  I fully expect to then change my Quality Rating from C to A.

After about 6 hours he was finished and tub looked brand new. I mentioned to him that I found him on Angie's list and he gave me a $25 discount. Outstanding service and workmanship at a decent price.

They were very professional. The whole job was completed in less than 4 hours. Drain was rerouted to be centered in new shower. Installed new faucet and shower heads. The new shower is a huge improvement over the tub. They used a larger floor pan to make the shower a comfortable size. The unit needed very little caulking so that was a huge plus for me. No grout to worry about and that makes it easy to clean. You must be careful what products you use to clean it since it is an acrylic shower. Very , very happy with the final result!

They came back about 2-3 years after the initial job. They warranty it for life, and they are great about following up on this.

The men that showed up to install the tub and surround were very professional. Bathfitter has their own plumber who installed the necessary work for the new piping in the tub/shower.

The bathrooms look fine, but some of the refinishing wasn't as good. At first they were really responsive about the need to redo the tub again, which was streaking and had some lines in it. The owner himself came out to refinish it a second time. However, we still wanted some more work done, and now they have not been responsive.

    All Tubs Reglazing
When I first contacted Linda she was very responsive, texting me back until we arrived at a date and time and price for the project. I had sent her many photos of the job I wanted done. When James got there he realized it would take longer than she had estimated, and called her. Soon I got a phone call asking if I would mind paying an extra $250. I told her yes I would, as we had agreed on a price (not an estimate). When James was finished, I gave him a rather large tip to make up for the extra time he spent masking and painting. When it dried, there were bubbles in some of the paint. Within two weeks, the paint at the bottom of the tub around the drain was chipping. I called Linda back as the work was guaranteed, and she sent James back. He re-sprayed some areas but within two weeks the drain was peeling again. I called her back and James was no longer working for the company. She booked another painter to come out and he never showed up. She was now difficult to reach, but after many texts and her not getting back to me, agreed on a day I have off (a Tuesday) to send another worker. I double verified the date then made plans for the day before. On Friday eve I got a call from the painter trying to set up a time for the day before our agreed upon time. I texted Linda immediately and all she could tell me was “things change” and offered another day that I was booked to work. I told her it was impossible and that she needed to uphold her part of the warrantee, or I would contact the Better Business Bureau. I was told I could contact whomever I want, and was not answered when I asked if there was someone coming in Tuesday like we agreed on. Now I will be calling the BBB, ASAP. I would not encourage anyone to hire this company. Please see photos for the present condition of my bathtub which is unsanitary and unsightly, and bound to clog my pipes with flaking paint, and it continues to get worse. I will have to talk to a lawyer about getting my $1390 back. The cash I paid for the job off the record (tip) is money in the wind. Very disappointed.
