  • I was home visiting my parents and my dad reminded me that my inspection sticker would expire this month. So first thing on Sunday morning, I go to here to get my state inspection done. They told me that I had a tail light out. Really? My dad & I had just checked them before I took it for the inspection. OK, bad timing/coincidence, whatever. So they failed my inspection and offered to replace the light for $22. A bit excessive for changing a light, so I decline to have the work done and said I'd change it myself. They told me to get it fixed and bring it back. So, I went to Walmart and bought a new light (for less than $2) for the car, put it in, checked that it worked and took the car back to show them that I had fixed the problem. I got there and they told me that they couldn't check it because it was after 9 a.m. now and they only do State inspections until 9 a.m. and told me I needed to come back tomorrow (Monday) between 7 and 9 a.m. This didn't work for me, because I would be back at school and could come during that time. So, I drive back the following Saturday to show them it was fixed. They verified that the tail light was fixed and charged me for another state inspection. If I was going to have to pay for another inspections, I would have saved the time and gas and had some place more convenient do it. I am partially to blame as I made the assumption there would not be additional charge; however, the communication implied it by telling me to bring it back, rather than have it reinspected. When I questioned the charge, the manager on duty (Aaron) became confrontational and even defensive. Even after I had paid for the reinspection, Aaron continued to be rude and was bad mouthing me in front of the other customers. The customer service here was poor at best. I would not recommend them to anyone. I understand that they are trying to make a living; however, it appears (from my experience and the other reviews on here) that their work practices are to make sure that they can get more money out of each state inspection customer than just the maximum allowed (by the state) charge for the inspection itself.

  • They're very good. All the other services are included because I have a lifetime alignment and all that kind of thing. So I don't need to pay for all the several hundred dollar stuff that I had done. There are a lot of coupons and good sales for prices. So they're doing good there.

  • Mechanic is on duty 7 days a week, which is fantastic for someone, such as my husband, who works out of state and is home only on weekends. Their work is thorough and timely. Prices seem fair. Gas pumps are full serve, but prices are competitive. In some ways Kittery Point Citgo seems a throwback to the 1950's and 60's--a good thing!

  • Passed inspection, and it didn't take long. I asked about a tire alignment and they did that, too on the same day. Since this was my last complimentary inspection at 25,000 miles, I asked about the cost of extending the complimentary service. The person to speak with was busy, and said they would call me, but never did.

  • Tom did a great job--over the previous winter, I had hit a chuck of ice--hard to see down there with a Prius.  Took a small chunk of or my bumper, and Tom repaired it--looks brand new now!!!  I would definately go back!

  • This is a great place to go to have your tires switched! They are friendly and easy to work with. Gave me advice on whether I should buy another set of rims so that it's easier to switch the tires from snows to regular tires and back again. Advised that the cost of another set of rims for the Prius was more than the cost of changing the rims each time.

  • Made appointment to have the brakes looked at since they felt pretty rough. Appointment was same week I called. Dropped car off early in the morning. Got a call around 9:00 am saying back brakes were ok but front rotors and pads needed to be replaced. Got another call an hour later saying it was all done and also to notify me that the front axle boots were torn and leaking grease on the exhaust. Work didn't need to be done right away but should be done before winter. Picked car up around noon. Brakes are great and I'll definitely schedule the boot work to be done by Dow's in the near future.

  • The guy is very friendly, personable and helpful, he's been in business
    35 years, the place looks like it's been around that long, but looks are
    deceiving.  Just because the place is old and messy, doesn't mean your
    car comes out looking that way.  The car looked great, and he helped my
    tidy up a small rust spot that needed some attention.  I'd definitely go

  • I went to get my timing belt replaced. What wad supposed to be a 6 hour job took 6 days. why? because they broke my gear sensor which means my car wouldn't start. They then ordered the wrong part, and then when they ordered the correct part it was sent to the wrong place. not only did they not take responsibility for their actions, Gary started yelling and interrupting me, just being plain rude. When i suggested a discount, well it was completely out of the question. they broke more than they fixed and I would recommend never bringing anything to get fixed by these unprofessional individuals.
