It is near me and it is a little bit more down to earth. They have nice stuff. They have a dog wash. They have good parking and it is easy to get in and out. You can bring your dog if you want. They have stuff that I am interested in buying for my dog. They are friendly and they greet me when I go in the door. It is a nice place. It is a big store and they sell things for other types of pets such as cats, gerbils, fish and parrots. If you needed exotic insects for your pets, they could probably get it.

Port Grooming & Pet Care Center
It is a small place and they mostly do grooming. They stock high quality dog food and the brand that my breeder happened to recommend. I make a special trip just to buy it there. The people who run it are very pleasant and enjoyable. It is more low key. I think they are also putting in a dog wash where you can do it yourself. They do a nice job and it is the only place I can get this brand of dog food.

    Brooks Feed & Farm
Brooks Feed & Farm has reasonable prices. They have a lot of pet food that isn't available in grocery stores.

    PLANET DOG GROOMING
They are fairly upscale and the stuff is a little pricey. The people are very nice and I can take my dog in. At least one worker has a dog. They provide grooming but I have not used that. When they didn't have something that I wanted, they were willing to call me when it came in and hold it for me. They have collars, leashes, toys and things like that. It is high quality and a little expensive.

If you want peace of mind with your pet chickens, get their product.  It is a well-made wooden pop door that has a timer and mechanical lift.  All you need is electrical power to your coop.  It was fairly easy to install, the hardest part is cutting out the door hole on the coop and adjusting the fit if your studs are not standard width.  Their videos are very helpful.  The reason for my glowing recommendation is the personal service behind their product.  I made a few errors in setting up the door initially.   This led to a premature wearing of gears on the automated mechanism.  So I had a work around, but it was getting worse, so I contacted the seller.  He got me in touch directly with the manufacturer of the part they used.  The manufacturer responded immediately with a P.O. for returning my product to them.  They convinced me that if I send it I will be happy with the results.  I thought I could replace the gear myself, but was persuaded to send the part in for repair, $12 shipping.  Becuase it was under 1 year warranty, I was able to get the product back in less than a week, working better than it had since I first installed it. So thanks again to automaticchickencoopdoor for standing by their product and the makers of the door lift for speedy repair. If you follow their installation info precisely, there should be no problems like mine.  The door comes stained/varnished already, so you really don't need to paint the door or rails at all.  Beacuse of the humidity when I installed it after I thought the paint was completely dry, it stuck a little and was the source of my inital problem, I think.

My adopted Cockapoo, Mocho, hair was very matted, previous groomer unknown. Friend recommended Pet Life store at Northgate shopping Center that had groomed dog. The groomer, Kelsey Spears, was very helpful, as was everyone at the store, and the results were excellence. Kelly was able to remove the matting without having to buzz cut her. I would and will use her again.

    Wags & Whiskers
After nine months of attempting to support a small business, I am tired of the scornful customer service when I purchase dog food. From the minute I walk in, transact and leave, I am met with a pervasive attitude of indifference and arrogance. Unfortunately, this stems from one employee or owner at the store. The reason for supporting small businesses is for better client service and appreciation. This does not occur and Wags and Whiskers. Misery enjoys company and that is why I made my choice to go else where.

    Online Pet Depot
how did it go.   poorly would be an understatement.    we were desperate for a certain brand of food.  our elderly pug's system is sensitive and bad things happen when we switch food.   the food was not available in our area due to a recall.  we scoured the net for remaining inventory and onlinepetdepot had it listed in stock.   we were willing to pay up for priority shipping and eagerly awaited our order.  days passed..  no food.  our supply was running out.  we called in to get a status..  back ordered .. day to day availability.    in a week we caved and tried another food..  the dog seemed ok.. so we called in to cancel our order.    a month later a box of food is on our doorstep ..  ups ground shipping.. our account billed for the food and priority shipping. ...  calling this business is like arguing with a disrespectful teenager.   you can't get a word in edgewise and they are determined to tell you that you're wrong rather than reasoning out the situation and perhaps reaching an agreeable comprmise.   i got so frustrated i thought  i was going to have a heart attack.   i hung in there though and got a call from someone else..  perhaps a supervisor and got half off my shipping costs.   of course i could have shipped the food back at my expense for a credit..  but that would have been throwing good money after bad.   i should have asked for confirmation when i cancelled my order.. i guess that's my bad.   i looked for reviews on this company while waiting for a half hour on hold and it seems there are more than one that express the same displeasure with this business.
