  • Service was good, Kris came out and fixed my toilet base. He was quick and efficient, and didn't flinch at my overly barking dog. Price was a bit higher than I was expecting, but they came to the house 2 days after we called and showed up on time when expected. Good service can be hard to find, so would still be willing to pay for more services in the future.

  • Excellent service! I called Monday before noon my call was returned before 6:00 p.m. An appointment was set for Wednesday between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. Wayne was there on time. He quickly determined the problem, and made the repair in a couple of hours. For the location of the sump and the pipes attached to it I was amazed he was able to complete the job so quickly. In addition to being efficient he was professional and cordial. I must also mention the young lady I spoke with to initially schedule the appointment couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. In addition he left the area just as clean as if not cleaner than when he arrived. I had used Wayne's about 4 years ago and the service I received on that call was the main reason for me calling them again. I am a highly satisfied customer and will use them for any and all of my plumbing needs in the future.

  • We have this outrageous bill and I don't know what to do. I only feel happy with paying half of it now. I wanted a new toilet upstairs. He put one in and he left. When my husband got out of the hospital, I told him about it and he called Heritage Plumbing. I guess he got the CEO and he said, he charged what? He gave himself away. He charged $1,000 for basic toilet.  I went and priced it and it was $130 for this basic toilet.

  • Shortly after purchasing new house in Gorham, I came home after being away for a few days to find no heat. After fumbiling around for a little while I realized that there appeared to be a problem with the natural gas service into the house. The gas company wasn't initially all that helpful, though they did end up sending a technician eventually. I called Mainely after looking them up in A/L. They were super nice and provided some "over the phone diagnostics" They provided a price quote over the phone and they sent a technician over almost immediately. Chris (the technician) was very nice and professional. He helped me meet with the tech from the gas company (who also showed up around the same time) and helped me understand what was going on. The gas company guy ended up recognizing the problem and fixing it for free. Chris took a look at the heating system I have and provided some advise on service internals and other stuff. Overall good experience, and I'm happy that I now have a relationship with Mainely in case I have problems in the future!

  • The Technician was at my home for less than 45 minutes. He was in the house, working on the job for about 30 minutes, during which time he received a call on his cell phone, which he spent several minutes on.

    The worked performed involved checking 2 flange nuts on a sink drain pipe, removing a rubber seal from each then reinstalling the pipe and securing the 2 flange nuts. He then went out to his truck and spent several minutes getting a bucket and a snake in a long pipe. He then checked 2 toilets, that I thought were not flushing properly. Flushed each toilet, checked the tank for problems then inserted the snake in the bowl and cranked it vigorously, scoring the china bowls, leaving marks I have not been able to remove. When he finished he spent several minutes in his truck, then came in and gave me a bill for $182.88.

    I called the shop to complain about the charge but was told the owner had not seen the paperwork yet, but he would call me tomorrow. He did not call, so I called late in the afternoon and was told someone had taken the paper work home, but I would be called tomorrow. No one called. I called the next day and was told the owner was unavailable.

    The price charged by this company was not only outrageous, it was obscene. I grew up in a family owned business (I am 77). Respect for the customers needs was drilled into us. This vendor showed no respect, in fact he showed the opposite in attitude and response. This company's claim in advertising is: "We Charge By The Job, Not By The Hour". I have proof of that. The charge was $182.88. The job was less than a half hour of work, no parts supplied and I got 2 marked up toilets. The toilets are flushing the same as before he snaked them. I would never use this vendor again and tell people of my experience with them, and show them the copy of the bill I carry with me.

  • The service Randy provided was fantastic.  I called him at noon and he was at our house at 6pm.  I had not been specific about the problem as I wasn't sure exactly what was wrong with our well.  He had all the supplies he needed with him and was able to fix our problem in 2 hours.  Our well hasn't' worked so well in years.

  • I can't remember the exact date or the cost of the service. 
    We have an artesian well and of course, hard water.  Our water softener system wasn't working properly.  We also had two toilets that were leaking at the base of each one.  One of the toilets also kept running after we flushed it so I wanted them to fix that as well.  They were able to fix the leaky toilets.  They said they fixed the flushing/running toilet problem.  Then, as far as the water softener, the guy told me "I am more of a city plumber - I don't know much about wells and hard water systems".  So, he never fixed the water softener and didn't even have any suggestions on what to do.
    When I made the appointment I was sure to tell them exactly what I needed the plumber for.  So, I was irritated they didn't tell me about the limited experience the guy had on water softeners before I set the appointment.  Then, a week later, our toilet started acting up again, continuously running after we flushed. 
    Nice guy - but I won't hire him again.
