First time with Tracy as my previous hygienist had retired. Really like Tracy and she did a good job and was fast while explaining a lot. She was ready for my appt. on time (my prior hygienist was always late, even though I had early a.m. appts.).

I don't like to go to the dentist's office so dread the wait as much as the routine. Having someone timely is important to me.

    |Overall he is a good dentist. Communication: he doesn't tell you what exactly he is doing. Effectiveness of Treatment: A couple of times a chipped tooth was repaired, but it chipped an opposing tooth. Billing and Administration: Money is a very, very, closely behind dentistry for him. He is as much a businessman as a dentist.  Approx. Appointment Date: He has been my dentist for 18 or 20 years.

This is by far the worst dentist I have ever been to overall.
I had been going to this dentist for around 3 years and all the work they had done failed within that time frame!!
This dentist is so conservative in his treatments that its borderline being healthy at all. I generally like conservative
dentist but not to the point that I'm sacrificing the health of my teeth!

Some of the office staff was extremely rude when I ran into issues with their treatments.
I had two crowns put on, one small filling, panoramic xrays, bitewing exray, checkups and cleanings.
One of the first major things I had done was a build up and crown on a back molar.. it seemed like the crown didn't fit but they
put it in my mouth anyway and ground down a cusp on one of my top teeth! I ended up going back because the crown didnt feel
right and was painful when I ate certain foods... they just shrugged it off and said to give it some time to heal!!
I didn't know any better until another new dentist pointed it out to me when they crown suddenly came off two 1/2 years later!! Now I'm stuck paying for another crown since insurance expects crowns to last 5years!

This cost me 1200 crown 200 build up $1400 total and now I have to get the crown redone again $1200
    $2600 total into one tooth!!

Dr Bowler recommended that I have another crown down to a top molar.... so I went ahead with it.. what a big mistake!!
Right after they put the crown on I immediately told them it didnt feel right.. it didnt even match the color or shape of my other teeth
They said it was good enough though and passed all their measurement tests they do. Not even a week later I had terrible pain
and was not able to get into their office since the dentists were both on vacation.. I was stuck with a painful tooth for 3days!!
When I finally got into their office they shrugged it off again and said to give the tooth a chance to heal!! 2 days later the pain was
unberabe so I had to go to another dentist!! The new dental office felt really bad for me when they saw the job this dentist did on my tooth. I now had an abscess tooth so they told me to ask for my money back, get a root canal asap and that I might lose the tooth from this stress of the procedure.

I went back to ask for my money back the office staff was extremely rude to me (Courtney)! They took another look at my tooth and said they didnt see and abscess but put me on antibiotics just in case... the next day my tooth was so swollen and painful I could hardly function... I went to an endodontist that confirmed an abcess and they even commented on how bad the crown job was.
They said Dr Bowler put a pin right into the nerve of the tooth which most likely causing the abscess!! The endodontist had to drill a hole through the crown to extract the root.. even after all of the problems I had Dr Bowler still didnt want to replace the crown!!!
This cost me $1200 for a crown $200 buildup and $1000 for a root canal.. Dr Bowler did give a partial refund of $450 for the crown only!! so $2200 - $400 = $1800 total for one crown.

I just had the crown redone by a different dentist in another state since I had moved... He also commented on how terrible the crown was and that he had his hands full trying to save this tooth!! They had very good equipment and the whole experience was better!!!
    So another $1200 + $200 for a build up = $1400
    $1800 + $1400 =
$3200 just to get a crown on one tooth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The equipment at Dr Bowlers is so ancient other dentists cant even use their xrays!! I cant believe a dentist doesnt have digital
xrays with the technology we have today? They are using very old equipment and procedures that any good dentist has moved away from by now.

The new dentist, Dr. Rossignol was terrific and incredibly fast. I had the novocaine and never felt the needle go in. Great upbeat attitude, much appreciated. Puts you at ease.
