    Avant-Garde Pet Care
seeking obedience training for our first Rottweiler, we found Avant Guard thru recommendation of local dog owners; we enjoyed instructor Carl's goofy interactions with the dogs in our first class, and his love of our "beast" was evident; we've returned with our other big dogs, and have used their boarding facilities on all our out-of-town trips, always with confidence that the crew was being well-taken care of; Carl is patient and attentive with recommendations about particular behavioral issues, too

He came and I had a very nice dog but not nice to people other than me. He gave me some very good tips on how to get the dog settled down. I had to break him off his habit and I'm working on it because it's a long process. I like him because he's a dog rehabilitator. He knows how to work with dogs who are adult dogs that has not been trained properly. He gave me some very good clues and I've been using some of the tips that he gave me and things are starting to show a little at a time but they are working. He's an older man who've worked with many dogs. He has some things posted on YouTube and he does a local television show. For dog trainers it's probably a pretty average price. I will go down periodically. I'm retired and I have to do everything if I have the money.

    National K-9 Learning Center
We bought a golden retriever puppy who was a fun puppy but becoming difficult to walk. After I had fallen a couple of times, we took her to National K-9. We attended Puppy PreSchool which was a great learning experience. In the summer we went on vacation and the dog went to "boot camp." The difference was amazing! Ericka trained the dog and us, and we spent many hours practicing our skills. We all did well enough to qualify for off-leash training. This involved a shorter time at "camp" and was again followed by lessons for us. The dog learned quickly and we are all much happier with a well-trained dog. We work with her daily, which is key to maintaining her training. We are constantly complimented on how well-behaved she is, and we have referred several people to National K-9. We couldn't be happier with our investment in training. It is expensive, but when you realize that you will have a well-behaved dog for many years it is definitely worth it.

    Happy Tails Inc
We have a new rescue who bit a trainer after a very unsatisfactory training experience. From that, we sent out emails to local trainers to help with private lessons. We described the situation, and NO ONE else responded, except for Christine at Happy Tails. She responded immediately, came to our home to a**** our dog's problems, then worked with him at our home and and quot;outsideand quot; to help improve his reactions. He is doing great, and Christine is always available for consultation when we have questions. Outstanding dog lover with heart and knowledge.

Tanya Rennie is an outstanding instructor and trainer. She is knowledgeable and very perceptive. I have taken lessons on her horses and have taken my horses there for training. safety is emphasized from the moment you step on the property, of the rider and the horses. I have boarded my horses there at different times and all the staff are knowledgeable.

I got him because I am disabled and was hoping for a service dog and I also wanted to have him as a reason to keep walking. She has helped me with intermediate and advanced training. We also have moved into Rally Obedience. We work on keeping him moving and helping me communicate with my dog. She has a great repor with people and dogs. She is great at problem solving and very individualistic. She is very down to earth, accessible, and generous. She is really good and gets good results! She even convinced me to go to a Rally trial! I passed with high marks in level 1 and even ribboned in level 2.

    Dog-Ercise Dog Service
Dog-Ercise Dog Service used positive reinforcement and obedience training and problem solving. He's awesome. He gave me a discount because I have so many dogs. His prices are really reasonable. He comes to our house. He spent a long time with my husband and I, just talking. We spent a couple of hours the first night, just talking. He just came to meet us and meet the dogs. And, then, we started the training the week after. So, he gets to know my husband and I or gets to know the family and what their desires are and the commands that we typically use with our dogs and he incorporates that into our training.

    It's A Dogs Life ME
Since bringing home our 2 5-month old puppies (now 11 months old) we have been taking them for daycare and overnight boarding. The dogs come home calm, relaxed and happy. Their puppy behaviors have improved over the 6 months that we have been taking them to It's a Dog's Life. Facilities are immaculate. Owners are reliable, friendly and accommodating. Dogs go once a week for daycare and whenever an overnight is required. I am so happy to have found this safe and fun boarding/daycare facility.

excellent. gave a very personal report of each dog's behavior after stay.  We also have used the training service which is also excellent and very helpful in understanding dog's misbehavior.

They were very nice, however after the second time we picked our dog up, we noticed on our way out to the car that she was not putting any weight on one of her hind legs. When we went back in to ask what had happened, they hadn't even noticed. Now I am aware that there is a chance with Doggy day care that your pet may get hurt or play too hard or get sick, but I expect enough attention to be paid that they would notice while walking your dog out to you that something is wrong. Not to mention the play is supposively supervised since they don't break the dogs up into size categories. My 25lb dog was playing with St. Bernards so yes I would hope that someone is there watching so why was it not at any point recognized that my dog was injured? Again I will say they were extremely friendly and they did call a couple days later to check on our Dog, however I would not feel comfortable with sending my dog there any more.
