  • I have never had any problems getting great service there. I went there for several years and there seemed to be frequent staff turnovers though. I don't go there now for oil changes as I have a contract with a dealer.

  • The jeep broke down within the first couple of weeks.  The batteries kept going dead.  It was finally realized that the alternator was the wrong one.  They did replace that.   Twice in one month.  I had the oil changed at another garage and it was black and thick as molasses.   It had not been changed in a long time and certainly not at Jim Card's auto sales.  I began having problems with the car cutting out.  I took it back to Jim Card to have it fully serviced.  He charged me 200 dollars for basic service and tried to charge me extra another oil change that it needed to clean the system out.  I refused to pay extra.   A month later the car totally broke down. The gauge in the fuel tank was broken.  Card had the vehicle towed in and a mechanic told me that due to the rust etc. it was not worth fixing.   I tried to get hold of Jim Card but could not.  I had become very ill and that took priority.  Friends of mine went to the place, and the jeep was missing.  It had been junked.  Because I was very ill, I could not follow up on getting compensation for the vehicle nor would Jim Card return any phone calls.

  • Everything was fixed and the price was kept within a range that I could pay for it.  The charge for the towing was not charged.  I am very satisfied with the work.  I trust Mr.Gordius to do the work with not only the price kept in line, but he has always been honest with me, as I have had other more minor work done on the truck. I highly recommend him and all of the workers at his garage.

  • I was recovering from open heart surgery. I had lost a business due to heart trouble and the only thing I had left of a popular horse training school, was my truck which I had owned for since 2007. I had just moved to Bangor due to health problems. Rob, who I did not know but who had been recommended to me, put the truck up on a lift. He told me that the amount of work to bring the truck up to inspection status would cost me over 3 thousand dollars and that due to rust and age, it was not worth it to me. He agreed to keep the truck at his garage and put a sign on it for sale. Someone had told him that I had had a serious health issue as he mentioned that I would do better with a cheaper smaller car. I didn't have any money. I did however manage to sell the truck and when I went to the garage to hand the keys over to the buyer, I offered to pay Rob for what I owed him with the towing and space that the truck had taken up along with his assessment. He refused to take the money and was very kind. When a friend had helped me to buy a used car, a small one, I stopped into the station to thank Rob for his generosity. He again was kind and congratulated me on finding a car that was a keeper. I will go back.

  • It is a small shop and one man shop. I feel very confident and trust him. When I go there I do not fear that he is going to charge me for something that is not there. He will tell me about things I need to do and ought to be looking out for. He is dependable and straight forward. If there is a question about something he will call me up instead of just going ahead with it. He charges me a reasonable price for what he does compared to the bigger outfits in the area. I do not feel like I am going to get ripped off. If I have an emergency with my car he will get me right in otherwise I can make an appointment and get in with them. He treats me like family. I would recommend him to others.

  • I was not impressed by the experience at all. He took forever and would complain that he didn't have time to do anything. He would put people before me even though I was there for a week. My bike was in there for three weeks to get the carburetor cleaned and the tank lined. It took him a week and a half before he even took my tank off. He never looked at the carburetors or pulled the carburetor off to clean it like he was supposed to. All he did was empty the bowls and blow it out with air. He never cleaned the jets or anything like that. He kept putting things off. Every time I'd go in to check on my bike to see what was going on and to find out when it would be done he was sitting in his office chit chatting away with other customers; not doing anything on anybody's bike, let alone my bike. He charged me for work that he didn't do. I would not recommend him to anybody. I would make sure that you steer clear of him. Stay away from him because he charges you for work he doesn't do and he overcharges for everything. Unless you need to order a part and have it come in and he doesn't install it or anything, don't go there.

  • I only had to replace a defective gas cap. He got me in and out quickly.
