    SEWING SHOP
I shopped for the materials on the internet and brought them to the sewing shop with me. I brought the plastic jug along and some pencil drawings with dimensions. I explained everything to the people. I could see their shop was full of clothing being altered, and it was clear that they had never before done anything like what I was requesting. More than anything else, they were EXTREMELY concerned to make sure the items were made exactly according to my specifications. They were very busy and at first told me it would take them about a month to get to my job. But they agreed to speed it up quite a bit--they asked for a little extra because it was a rush job, but it was a fair price. They didn't really need my business, but they were very nice about it. In the future I will take any sewing jobs I have to them. They impressed me with their professional attitude and work ethic. Be patient because their English is not perfect.

    Kim's Alterations
I needed a tailor and was new to the area. I found Kim's Alterations on Angies List and brought one shirt of the few I needed tailored to test the waters. The turnaround time, 10 days, was a bit longer than I have come to expect for tailors, but if I needed it sooner than that I'm sure she would have been able to accommodate. Her service was professional and pleasant, my shirt fits great and I dropped off two more with her the same day I picked it up.

    Kim's Alterations
Kim had us come in Saturday an hour before her opening time. In ten minutes, she had it marked and pinned. She told us to come back in ten days at which time it was done perfectly. The price was very affordable, much more so than I had feared. She is very sweet and helpful.

    RED BRICK TAILOR SHOP
I had a formal dress altered by Red Brick Tailor shop. The dress had a layered fabric affect and they took it in along the bust line. You can't even see where they did the alteration. I was amazed at the quality of work. They were very fast, and very thorough. I will definitely use them for future alteration needs.

    Dragonfly Quilt Shop
They are really good. They provided help for some questions that I had. They have a really great selection of fabrics and they are really nice people. They are way above the usual quality of fabric and they are willing to help customers. Their prices are good.

    Patti P Tailors
I was mortified to find out that my bridesmaid dress was a bit too snug about 48 hours before the wedding. I had to have the hem taken up to piece the bodice so it zipped up. She did a great job, and more importantly, she turned it around in 6 hours. It cost $120 but it was worth it, and she told me the cost up front.

    Kim's Alterations
I took a new sport coat for alterations. I had purchased it in Italy, but did not have time to have it altered there. The arms needed to be shortened and a bulge removed from the back, just below the collar. I knew from past experience that the latter operation could ruin a suit coat or sport coat if now done properly. As soon as I walked into Kim's, I was impressed by the activity. Racks were loaded with work in process. There were two other employees working on alterations. Obviously, Kim has a lot of customers. When she measured for the alterations, she was was courteous and professional. The work was done in 10 days and it was done well. $38 dollars was a very reasonable price to pay. I would give her my business in the future, even though we live 25 miles away.
