  • the office is down the street, that's a huge plus, staff is always friendly, dr. sanders is awesome! very down to earth and honest, prizing is reasonable - definitely better than what we were paying before through a different vet. i trust dr. sanders completely in her assessments for our mini schnauzer.

  • The vet went out of her way to get to know both of my cats before their actual physical exam. She also offered explanations all the way through the exam to educate me. Unfortunately I moved away from the area, wish I could bring this vet with me!

  • It was a good price. The vet charges for the cost of the rabies shot and does not charge with the visit itself, its included included with the price. Other vets in these area charge the visit and they separate it that from the shots so I was paying ninety dollars per animal.

  • we looked after our friends dogs, since the time he was paralysed in a car accident and we took his dog and his dog was at the end of her life. We took the dog over to Lewiston veterinary hospital just a handful of times, probably three times in the span of maybe three months and we ended up having to put the dog down. And Doctor Mayerson, no it was actually another Doctor who cried. And I thought, my husband and I were so shocked and impressed that after being there for so many years you can muster enough you know, emotions to cry. When someone saw that, you struck of because it was not even a dog that had been raised in this coming to this veterinarian, but sometimes somebody gets a puppy and takes this puppy to the same vet for whole life and ends up putting them down 15 years later. That was not even the case here, and when the vet mustered enough emotions to cry they were real tears. Even if they were not, we were so impressed that we just knew that we were always in the right place. They are so, their love of animals attached with that veterinary  office is nothing short of amazing; they treat their animals like their own. And we take one of our obnoxious labs there who is the more sweetly dog but cannot touch her nails she turns into fujo and they take her back and she moves her pupon on the floor and they laugh about it you know, they just know how rude he is and they are just so nice and it is funny there too, there is a gentleman he works there, his name is Mike, or Cooper. He works at the front desk and when I check out he says to me how is your little girl, her name I cannot remember her name. She plays the bag pipes, how is she doing? her home lessons coming along? things like that, and to me I mean that means so much to me. When somebody remembers who you are and asks a few questions then even if you got it written down on the computer I appreciate that extra step that people take to make you feel like you are in the right place you know what I mean. No wonder your daughter plays ice hockey how is that going? Is she you know I really like that kind of thinking. That's the kind of person I am I always go the extra mile for somebody and I appreciate it when they do it back. You know we are spending a lot of money in these places and I just appreciate knowing that they appreciated as well. They have a very courteous and caring staff from top to bottom from doctors to secretaries.

  • I don't go there anymore because their prices are astronomical. They have a female doctor there, Doctor Sanders or Saunders incredibly, she talks down to you and does not explain anything to you. Well not under any circumstances, does she go the extra mile for you and does not offer any discount for multiple animals. You know, at the time we had four dogs and when I went in I had to pay in office visit of $ 45 for each one of my animals, just a walk-through the door and I do not know a single other vet that does that. If you bring in two dogs at the same time it is one office visit or maybe one office visit with an extra 10 bucks attached to it. She is very close to where I live and it is oftentimes much more convenient for me to pick up a prescription for one of my dogs and she has the prescription on file there, where as my veterinarian is much further away so basically it is just a dispensary; she won't do that. When she did that the first time she charged me like $ 12000 more than it would have cost to buy them because of veterinary fee. They have a tech there named Jodie, he does not have a clue of what he is doing and had caused a death of a cat, yeah it's not just a good place to go. I think she has taken on a partner Doctor Bennett from what I understand, but I don't know about him I just know about Doctor Sanders or Saunders. And she bought the practice from another doctor that we were already established with and their prices went up by half. The office waiting room is incredibly small, there is not enough room to keep dogs there. You bring in on a leash separate from somebody else dog on a leash. It is a very nice office but smells awful and it needs cleaning. The staff are somewhat unfriendly. I have not been there probably for a year and a half or two years. And when you already have the dog down, I know she charges like $ 200 to take off a Duke. When you have the dog already under anaesthesia you do not charge that same amount again because those are for, the $ 200 include tools that she uses in the anaesthesia and so you would not charge all of that all over again but she did so.

  • I have used them for ten years and I really like them. They are really good with the animals and are gentle with them. They are very sensitive to the needs of the owner and the pets. One of my cats has to have dental surgery, the second time, she is fifteen years old and I have a lot of old cats at this point. I was quite upset because the cat was drooling because he doesn't have a lot of teeth and he had problems chewing things. However, they assured me that the drooling might be part of the last teeth because he was showing pain, so I was really upset thinking I was not doing the right thing but they assured me that I was. It has been very hard, they have been working with me very well on finding things and places for me for emergencies, and they have steered me in different directions. The atmosphere there is very positive and very professional. The only thing is they are pushing all these parasites stuff and a lot of other stuff, like the other day they wanted me to put my fifteen-year-old cat on a special diet but I don't need that because I think we have been doing okay without those. However, we compromise and we come up with a plan. I would highly recommend them. I really do like them a lot. The person who owns it is very nice, he is very knowledgeable about animals and not just pets but raccoons and foxes and different things like that because I have had questions and he has very good about answering those. We are going back in a couple of weeks for the second surgery. Usually, they have you not feed the cat the night before and bring in the morning for the surgery but that is not possible in my case because no matter where I hide the food for the other cats, he finds it. Therefore, they allow me to bring him in overnight, so that can feed him just before they leave, so he is ready the next day for the surgery because they don't want food in his stomach during the surgery. Their prices are comparable.

  • We selected Taylor Brook Animal Hospital on the basis of its website and a visit to the facility to schedule a wellness visit for two small rescue dogs coming in from Texas. Our positive impression was undiminished upon meeting Dr. Sanders and her staff, the caring and respect they showed to us and our new family members. Dr. Sanders took the time to get acquainted with us, and to learn what was important to us for our pets' health and well being. She reviewed and explained the medical histories that came with the dogs, reviewed our options for their ongoing care (food, preventatives, etc.) in their new setting. We left the clinic with very positive feelings about our choice and the care our pets received.
On Friday of the same week, one of the pups became ill with diarrhea. The hospital squeezed us in within an hour for an emergent appointment with Dr. Binette. He, too, demonstrated compassion and caring for us and our puppy. A treatment plan was implemented and the puppy improved over the weekend. The hospital called us on Monday to see how he was faring.
We could not have asked for more responsive or better care.
I would not hesitate to recommend Taylor Brook Animal Hospital to anyone seeking high quality and compassionate care for their pets. The cost noted in this review covered both visits, and we feel their fees are very reasonable.

  • They get 5 stars from me. We have been taking our cats there for the last 7 years. They are professional and compassionate; that's pretty much what you want in a vet. I will use them again in the future.
