I would hire Joe and his group again in a heartbeat. He was always punctual, did the job in the time indicated on the contract and did a beautiful job. They always cleaned up at the end of the day too which I really appreciated. Joe always kept me in the loop as to what was going on.

We Do Windows & More, LLC
I will try to give the most objective account of Paul Saindon's WE DO WINDOWS AND MORE LLC. When I contacted Paul, he was very responsive to my needs, and had a crew to my residence within a short period of time. Prior to their arrival, Paul sent a worker to my home to estimate what they would need to do the job...I assumed the crew would be very efficient and effective-- =( When Paul's crew arrived in the morning the entire crew was very polite and friendly. The crew went to work as soon as they arrived at our home and worked on the house for over five hours (?) and I was billed per-person, per hour and was charged: $765.15. I felt the cost was a bit much considering my house has been power washed each year. My house is only a small garrison with a small two car garage. The other power-wash companies that I use before did the entire job with two people in two hours and charged me only $300.-- When the crew started the job I was a bit surprised that they were using a very small, low-end power-wash compressor. The compressor appeared pretty beaten up and didn't seem to have sufficient power to reach the second story of our house. So the crew had to use a ladder to climb up high enough so that the water spray could reach the upper floor. In addition, it didn't appear that the "green" detergent that I was paying extra for was doing such a good job (although I was promised otherwise) in removing the lite dirt film on the house. As you can imagine, the crew were continually climbing up and down the ladder and changing between "green" and regular detergent which took a longer then usual time. While both crew workers were busy, the other crew person ( who was always polite and nice) had only one job ..window washer! While waiting for its turn to work... this crew member stood in my yard smoking, after another, after another--all the while Paul's company was billing me for her presence.... smoking cigarettes. My wife and I, could smell the cigarette smoke in our home and it was a bit-sicking. I was hoping the smoking would stop and causally mentioned it (hint..hint..hint)...but the smoking just kept on. It was bad enough that there was an active smoker in our yard, but couldn't this person pick up their own butts? When it finally came time for the smoker to work, the smoker only washed the windows that she could reach ...and left the portion of the higher part of the windows which she couldn't reach unwashed. Then, the smoker (who reeked from cigarette smoke) said she was done washing the outside windows and asked to come inside our smoke-free house to finish the inside--I backed away and said she didn't have to come in and told her the inside windows were fine. Then the crew moved to our front porch..where they started to power sprayed the deck. They were not careful and their power spray over-shot of the deck and killed all of our beautiful Tiger Lillies that were growing beside the deck....Funny thing..the crew never seemed to notice nor care... that said lilies were being smashed down by the power spray. After the job was completed, and the crew was gone, my wife and I were moving the furniture back onto the deck when we noticed how much the guy missed on our porch deck. There were still a lot of green-mold still on our deck. My wife and I, were very disappointed in the way the crew did not take their time to be through. After the job was completed I was told by the crew that Paul Saindon was returning back to see how satisfied we were with the job--to present, we are still waiting... Paul hasn't showed up nor has he called. Now, moving on to the small two garage, I noticed the following...four of the six outside flood lights on the garage were destroyed when the "crew" (carelessly) directly sprayed said lights and they exploded. I am very disappointed that the "crew" who cause the damage wasn't mature enough to come forward and be responsible for the damage that I discovered the day after. A week after the crew left it rained and I noticed that the rain water wasn't flowing down the rain gutters...our son climbed up a ladder to discover that the workers only cleaned the leaves in the gutter but did NOT remove any of the yecky muddy sediment laying at the bottom on the gutters--that I was paying them to do. The rain just moved the mud to the down spout and clogged the drain we had to pay our son to re-clean the gutters. Okay, that was my objective take on the quality of work that Paul Swindon's WE DO WINDOWS AND MORE LLC company did for us. In conclusion...we are a retired couple on a fixed income and take great pride in our home's appearance and were very disappointed in the services provided.

    Fortin Construction, Inc

Once work got started it was done in a timely manner. Had to wait my place in the work queue. A crew of two did it all and they worked extremely hard even on some very hot days. They were both quite personable and friendly. They did a full days work and if anything I had to keep at them to stay hydrated and take breaks during the hottest times. Materials were delivered quickly and efficiently. The guy who dropped the dumpster (for debris) did an outstanding job doing minimal damage to the lawn area.  A number of times I changed the job order by requesting additional things to be done (my fault, yes, it might have been smarter had I thought of this stuff before starting). Still and all they were able to work and deal with the changes and still get the mission done. There was a lot of debris but the guys somehow managed to get it all up and pack it into the dumpster in an efficient way. I was home during all of this and the crew was intrusive only as necessary to achieve the mission. Both the contractor and the crew were willing to answer my questions (even my dumb ones, and I had a LOT of dumb ones) without hesitation. The siding looks great, we've been complimented by many of our neighbors. The new back porch / deck thing is solidly built and once we seal coat it I expect it'll last a good long time. It has been 3 weeks or so since completion and we have had no reason to have to call them back for repairs or anything.

The old Masonite siding was a horror show. Found where carpenter ants had just moved in but hadn't started anything, yet. Exterminator took care of that, along with some pesky wasps or bees. D*** bees. Once the siding was off found all sorts of odd work that appeared to have been done by Tim the tool man, or whatever. The crew was able to deal with this stuff using their carpentry skills 'on the fly' so to speak and were able to do the insulation layer without too many issues. The siding went on fairly easy although the chimney area gave them fits. Pulling off the old siding was a nasty job, but they did it quickly and neatly.

As to the cost, we kind-of expected it was going to run a bit, but unlike shopping for appliances or a car, it is much more difficult to get any sort of accurate pricing info. We opted for a local company with a proven track record and history of many years of being in business. Fortin's has a good word-of-mouth rep and some background checking decided us on going with them. I'm satisfied that I got what I paid for and in the end that's all that matters. Yes, maybe someone else might have done it cheaper, but it's like having your car repaired. You can have your neighbor do it, or you can have a real mechanic do it and have it done right.  The contractor, Ron, was right up-front with us; there were no "secret gotchas".

In conclusion I would not hesitate to call Fortin's if I needed them. I would also easily recommend them for anything. If they can't do it, I'm sure they would tell you !

    A & C Odd Jobs
They were able to provide a highly competitive painting bid on a lead certified job on short notice and reroof half my house at a spectacular price under their competitors.  The work was all done in very quick order between October 1st and when the snow flew, so that I could close on my house back in 2011.  Their ability to pull it together so fast was greatly appreciated.

I have also called them in the very early morning hours for an emergency roof repair when a storm did some damage and caused a leak, and they were there within the hour.  Not every company moves that fast, but they do.

In a nutshell all went better, faster, and with less drama than expected. The quality of the interior finish work is their strength...a big step up from any DIY we're capable of. These guys know what they're doing and are the most enjoyable personalities one could ask for. If we had a bottomless pit of funds I'd keep them there indefinitely, as they are truly fun to be around while maintaining professionalism and a true work ethic. The best handyman/painters you could ask for...

    Bob Terracino Painting Contractor Inc
He is absolutely terrific. He is fantastic and very reliable. He is really a gem and does very meticulous work. His prices are very reasonable. We have a 100 year old house that we are trying to restore and he does truly excellent detailed work. He even comes on Saturday mornings and you don't have to be here as he does whatever you have asked him to do. He is so trust worthy. We have a house which has some non standard crown moldings and he took one of the crowns to the miller to have it specially milled. He also had them redo it as the crown wasn't correct what the miller did and it did not match. He didn't charge anything extra for that. He was very honest and takes care of your stuff. We highly recommend him. He also does historical houses.

    Simard Building& Remodeling Inc.
Work started on schedule and was completed in the estimated time frame. A few repairs were needed along the way for an additional cost which I was kept informed about. My house is very old and far from being level. Jason and his helper Joe performed a miracle on this old house! All messes were cleaned up at the end of each day. They even went so far as to take a bird's nest down from the eaves they were working on and put it back at the end of the day.

    Clarke Painting, Inc.
I felt the company was very responsive from the initial contact.  They were quite prompt with setting up and giving me an estimate.  The fine work price came in two thousand more than the original quoted price.  The workers acted professional when I was around.  The work took approximately a week accounting for some poor weather.  We are mostly satisfied with the work.  However, there was a large area of rotted boards which were primed and painted only to be discovered by myself and my wife.  A couple of other boards which were clearly damaged, required a specific request by myself to replace.  I felt for this amount of money, I should expect that I would not have to double check their work.  This makes me concerned about the boards on the back of the house which are three stories high.  I am assuming that there are other areas of concern which likely were not addressed.  I made it clear at the onset I would pay fair price as long as the job was done as if it were their own house.  Overall the job looked pretty good, but we did come away with the feeling of completely satisfied.

I hired Dana to replace the siding on my house in the summer of 2011. As a fairly new homeowner, I had never hired a contractor before, and was a little nervous about the process given that numerous friends had had bad experiences with contractors. As it turned out, the experience far exceeded my expectations.
Dana works to a very high standard and does the job right first time. Dana removed two layers of existing siding and wrapped our house in Typar. All debris was removed at the end of each day. When the old siding was removed we found hacked up window sills. Dana gave me advice and helped me fix them at no charge. We have an old house with ornate trim. Dana's cuts to fit the siding around the trim were very accurate. Everything lined up exactly. The final job was flawless.
Dana has a great work ethic. He works quickly and is very productive. I occasionally offered him food and drink and he always refused. He arrives promptly, works continuously, and tidies up at the end of each day. He lets you know in advance if he needs to miss a day. He was a great example to point to - to show our lazy teens what it means to do a real day's work.
Dana is flexible. I wanted him to do an extra step in putting up the siding (paint the cuts). He was willing to do it at no additional charge, even though it added to his time.
You'll be thankful you hired Dana. He has decades of experience and his work shows it. His rates are more than fair. And, he goes above and beyond to satisfy the customer.
