Handyman reviews in Upper Marlboro

    Case Design Remodeling Inc
Case's answer to my concern about racism is false and misleading. The owner called me and left a message for me to change my review. No concern about how I was treated, or the racism of his company, just fix his review. There is no justification for his company's refusal to serve a major county that is very close to his business but for race.

    D&W HANDYMAN LLC
In the past it was so hard for me to find a reasonable person to do home improvements. That was my real estate agent introduced me to Weder Bonilla with D&W HANDYMAN LLC. There was not a project that was too small for them to complete. Every employee that I met with D&W HANDYMAN LLC was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and when they gave me a time, they were their promptly. I have worked a great deal with Weder, when I bought my home my real estate agent gave me his name to do painting in my new home; he was very affordable, reliable and courteous. He also gave me the best price and also opinions that would help keep my project to stay within my budget. What I love the most about this company, is when they do work for you, they are very dedicated and precise in what they are doing. I had a simple problem with my shower just spraying water everywhere, I sent Weder text at 830 PM on a Wednesday night he immediately text me back to tell me that he could be there at 9am the next morning. True to his word he showed up before 9, it was a very simple fix my shower head just need to be tightened. I apologized for asking him to come for something that simple, he smiled and said no problem, I will be a customer for life; whenever anything goes wrong in my home I call D&W HANDYMAN LLC. I recommended them to several friends and family and they love them too. If you are looking for knowledgeable, affordable, HONEST and a trustworthy handyman team, these are your guys. I am satisfied and I am more than confident that you will be too!

    D&W HANDYMAN LLC
I would highly recommend D&W Handyman service. I have used them for various projects in my home with great satisfaction. After my Mom received a ridiculous estimate I asked D&W to estimate the project. Not only did they save her hundreds but the repairs look great.

    JP Professional Service
JP came out to give a free estimate. He throughly discussed a plan of action and said he would provide a quote. A few days later I received the quote which seemed reasonable. We agreed on a date for service. JP provided the materials for the door frame. I purchased the storm door and JP picked it up from the retailer. The service was completed and they installed extra door security. Id hire them again.

    City Renovations & Remodeling LLC
I highly recommend City Renovations and Remodeling to new and experienced homeowners and investors. In fact, Mike Wiggs, owner of the company, was highly recommended to me from a trusted source. Mike has been my designer, general contractor and project manager for over three years. He and his team of subcontractors for all the trades and handymen have successfully completed numerous projects for me. The internal big jobs included Mike and his team remodeling my basement into a permitted apartment with an egress window, injection well system, and recessed lighting; remodeling my kitchen into a larger space, better layout and upgraded appliances, cabinets, backsplashes (e.g., switching from an electric cooktop island to a slide-in gas range and installing a peninsula); changing the location of the sliding door and a set of windows in my sunroom for better flow and sightline from the front door entry to the patio door leading to my wooded backyard; replacing the damaged one of the two HVAC systems (i.e., one for the first floor and basement and the other for the second floor); and whole house interior painting and decorative touches (accent walls, trim, etc.) The external big jobs included Mike and his team resolving the sources of severe water damage to my two-story front door entry area and installing a new door, side lites and stoop. He resolved other water problems at my house by installing upgraded, larger gutters connecting to a new underground drainage system, and re-grading a section of the backyard next to my house in order to better collect water coming onto the house and move it away from the house. The other jobs Mike and his team completed include installing decorative lighting in the front of my house and security lighting at the sides and back; installing and repairing wooden privacy fencing in my backyard; washing away years of mold, mildew and stains from the siding of my house; and installing shelving for two closets and the laundry room to increase my storage space. After years of City Renovations and Remodeling successfully improving or repairing my home, I hired the company to help me with an investment rental property. Mike completed a walk-thru assessment and report to supplement the information from the home inspector and appraiser. Through my pre-purchase consultation with Mike, I got a good idea of what it would take improve the property given my goals and budget. I look forward to working with Mike and his team to renovate the property.

    Melvin's General Remodeling
Melvin and his team were responsive from the start and finished ALL the jobs in less than the 8 hour allotted time for the deal. There were even a few parts of the project where I needed extra materials and he was prepared enough that he had the materials on his truck. Would definitely use again!

    Handyman At Your Command
I hired the company for what I thought was a simple job but it ended up taking three separate days to complete a portion of the job. I needed several pictures, a couple mirrors hung, drywall hole the size of a dime repaired and a garage shelf put together. It took three trips for only the pictures to be put up. Day one the guy hung four pictures in three and a half hours. Day two the guy arrived an hour and a half late. Day three the third guy took over forty minutes to hang one picture correctly and forty-five minutes to go to the store for supplies; an hour that I was charged for. In addition, the site currently is running an add stating that the 1st hour of service is discounted. Theres no fine print following the statement. I was billed on separate invoices for the days of service therefore I expected the first hour to be discounted per invoice. Finally, the handymen were all cordial and professional however I expected them to provide direction and guidance to me on the things I needed done. For instance the only thing I know in reference to hanging pictures is that they should be at eye level. I would expect a handyman to know that pictures should fall anywhere between a certain amount of inches from the floor and ceiling to advise me. Instead I was asked for each and every picture/mirror how many inches from the floor do you want it? That was a huge annoyance and waste of my time. Each item was already in the place that I wanted it. I stated that I wanted them centered on the wall. I did not want to have to debate over inches twenty-five times. Also, If Im asked to provide a rundown of what I need done initially when I hire a company, I dont expect workers to show up and leave to purchase supplies then the company turn around and charge me for that time. My expectation is that theyre either going to show up with the supplies needed or have me get them. Thats a waste of my money! Youre a handyman and you dont have what you need to hang a picture? Thats maybe the simplest job there is. I needed only three things done. I paid nearly a thousand dollars and I still need two other items completed. Amazing!!

    Case Design Remodeling Inc
It did not. CASE is the most racist company I have encountered. They advertise on the radio, in newsprint, and on their website that they serve MD, DC and VA. No qualifications about location are listed in any of their advertisements. But if you call them from Prince George's County, MD, a predominately African American community, do not expect service. I went online and listed a request and the appointment was promptly booked. Someone called me and confirmed date and time. When I sent an email later (which had my picture on it showing that I was black), suddenly the appointment was cancelled and I was told that they do not go to Prince George's County. So CASE will serve Virginia, Baltimore (Roland Park, Reisterstown and Guilford no doubt) and Annapolis (ALL further from Bethesda than Prince George's), but not a community of affluent African Americans. When I pointed this out to the owner, I received an email telling me to contact someone else, they just can not work everywhere. See note sent to me after appointment was booked and confirmed. Dear Jacqueline Grazette, Thank you for your inquiry. The zip code that you provided in your request 20774 indicates that you are in Upper Marlboro, MD. We do apologize, after further review you are well out of our current service area. We can recommend that you check the NARI web site (National Association Of The Remodeling Industry). There you will be able to locate a qualified company in your area. Thanks, Steve {removed employee last name} This is shameful and Angie's List should not continue to list a company that practices racism. I am hoping that I can find the proper authorities with which to file a complaint of discrimination against CASE.

    Handyman At Your Command
This company is the greatest. We initially called them for the 4 hours of handyman service and have used them since to hang an interior door. They were more than accommodating in both instances. We had an extremely tight time frame and they came through for us. I have saved the company information as my main contact for anything needed in the house.
